That's correct. It's a $55 Place Bet vs. A $5 Put Bet with Odds. The Odds have no HE, so the 20% applies only to the $5 Put Bet.
I get Emails when there is a comment and must have missed that one.
First off is kind of a backstage look and some opinion about what Administrating the Forum is like:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/administration-of-wov/
Next, we have an Article about whether discussing AP on the Internet kills the Golden Goose:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/killing-the-goose/
Finally, we have Seven Unusual Quirks about Casino Games that I've noticed:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/ten-unusual-game-quirks/
I have had Five Articles come out over the weekend, as well as a Show Review by Wizard himself!
My first three Articles this Week are how NOT to play Promotions:
https://wizardofvegas.com/article/how-not-to-play-promotionspartone/
https://wizardofvegas.com/article/how-not-to-play-promotions-part-two/
https://wizardofvegas.com/article/how-not-to-play-promotions-part-three/
The first part takes a look at poor ways to play Loss Rebates, the second Jackpot Bonus Promotions and the third looks at a few smaller Promotions that do not warrant their own Article.
We have an Article in which Wizard offers a detailed Review of Mat Franco's magic show. If you like to see Magic Shows at all, then this is well worth a read:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/mat-franco/
We have last Week's Edition of News & Notes:
https://wizardofvegas.com/article/news-and-notes-one/
In which I discuss:
-An offer match Promotion
-January Promotion Tendencies
-Dead Week in Vegas
-New Jersey Online Play
-Another Loss Rebate
-The ACG book compared to last year
Finally, Meadows has finally officially been sold to Gaming and Leisure Properties:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/the-Multitudinous-the-vast-hollywood-casinos/
We're rolling out three new Articles today as well as another two or three tomorrow! As always, I hope everyone takes the time to read these Articles, and especially to comment!
The first of today's Articles is about small promotions that a bigger player might actually do well to avoid. Whether or not a player should avoid them differs on a case-by-case basis and based on what the player knows about how the casino works, but there are certainly scenarios in which they should not be played:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/when-to-avoid-promotions/
Our next Article touches on the legality of using other peoples' players club cards and states that it is definitely against the Terms & Conditions of the program. With that out of the way, we then discuss ways to avoid getting caught if you must multi-card for one reason or another:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/you-down-with-opc/
Finally, we take an in-depth look at MGM's decision to charge for parking that they are rolling out between April-June, and I attempt to try to look at things from MGM's POV:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/mgm-to-charge-parking/
First we discuss whether Richard Marcus is a cheat or a thief in our first, "People in Gambling," Article. I'm really excited about this series of Articles and actually hope to turn it into a separate section on this or the Odds site once a bunch of them are written:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/people-in-gambling-one/
In this week's News and Notes, 6/5 Blackjack is Spreading and we talk about three promotions:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/news-and-notes-three/
First off for today, we take a look at a Vegas casino's role in former NFL WR Reggie Rucker's bilking of his non-profit organizations to pay off his gambling markers:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/casino-accountability/
Next, I share an approach to learning new Video Poker games that seems to work well for me:
https://wizardofvegas.com/article/the-language-of-video-poker/
Finally for today, we have another edition of News and Notes in which we briefly mention the Rucker story, fun on the Vegas High Roller ride, ask whether Caesar's will recover in Atlantic City when they finally emerge from bankruptcy, take a look at a new, "Blackjack Weather," tool by Norm Wattenberger and, in my favorite piece of recent news, briefly go over what could be the beginning of the end for West Virginia's barbaric greyhound racing industry!
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/News-and-notes-four/
The first Article we have out today is my Review of Bob Dancer's book, Million Dollar Video Poker: It's an old book, but in my opinion, required reading for beginning advantage players and those looking to get started looking for beatable live casino promotions. Therefore, it is a book in which the concepts should not be forgotten.
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/million-dollar-book-review/
The second Article is a semi-Biography about me and how I could my start with a love of gambling. It is going to be a two-part Article with this first part covering the years prior to my move to Kansas City, MO, which I think would have officially signaled the second section of my life. I'm as far as a person can get from being a celebrity, but I personally find the lives of almost everyone I talk to interesting to some degree, so hopefully this will be no different.

Next, we have an interview with my girlfriend in which we offer advice to the people out there who might want to get their significant others into gambling, hopefully the advice will prove useful to some of our readers:

You are correct.. I've been relying on this thread which per OP exists to announce new articles, but it would be nice to be notified about new article comments. Hope that happens.Quote: 100xOddsyes, any thread i reply in i automatically get subscribed to.

Quote: eclecticMission. Nick the Greek I think said, the best thing about gambling is winning. The second best thing about gambling is losing. You obviously have a serious passion for both gambling and writing. My only feedback would be an article about the psychology of winning and losing, and why people gamble. However, there is plenty of that literature available in the arena of investments and the markets. Good job on the articles.
Thank you for the compliment, and that's a great subject idea! I'll probably do some thorough research and do something on that within the next few weeks.

I'll plead nolo to a misdemeanor for spelling incompetence. Point the grammar police towards spell checker for your felony incitement case. </hijack>Quote: mcallister3200Is this a compliment or should I expect a riot in West Virginia? I know, I know, grammar police.

We have two closely related Articles today: The first one I will link is my Review of, The Smart Money by Michael Konik.
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/the-smart-book-review/
The second Article essentially asks the question, "Are the Sports Books hypocrites and/or 'P***ies,' as accused in the previous book?:

As always, my thanks to everyone who reads, and most especially, for everyone who comments!
Most of us know that gambling online is not actually illegal for players at the Federal level, but is it legal in your State? Please enjoy my newest Article, what are the, "State of the States?"
https://wizardofvegas.com/article/the-legality-of-online-gambling/
Please read and comment, if you so desire! If you have any further insights on your State, let me know! Are there any examples of prosecution for the mere act of playing online of which you're aware?

404 error.
Quote: Mosca404 error.
Yes, and my apologies.
That Article is actually meant to be a Wizard of Odds Page:
https://wizardofodds.com/the-legality-of-online-gambling-us
We have two Articles that were released for you guys today.
The first one entitled, "The Legislative Gamble," takes a look at how slow (or nonsensical) Legislation can often have a negative impact on the bottom lines of casinos, as well as the bottom line of State Revenues. This Article uses recent Legislation (or lack thereof) in the State of West Virginia as a case study.
The part about the Greyhound Racing Legislation not going through will be one of the most absurd things that you have ever read about. Promise. You won't be disappointed if you enjoy reading about Governmental ineptitude.
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/the-legislative-gamble/
The second Article is the second Edition of, "People in Gambling," focusing on John Scarne. Like my first subject, Richard Marcus, Scarne also got his start in the world of gambling by way of exposure to cheating, but he took a completely different path after said exposure. He didn't become a cheater (and thief) as Marcus, he sought to stop them:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/people-in-gambling-two/
Please take the time to read, enjoy and, most especially, comment!
Please check the post previous to this one as those Articles are also still quite new!
Today we have a new News & Notes that starts off with West Virginia failing to eradicate Greyhound Racing from the long list of reasons that the State should be embarrassed of itself. After that, Jim Simms is out as CEO of Downtown Grand, in what both parties claim is a mutual decision.
We have a murder to report, unfortunately, and there are even two additional shootings to report after that. I usually like staying away from violent news, but one of the stories was a follow-up to an earlier story and I decide to keep the theme going.
Fortunately, we finish it off with News of a somewhat tamer nature including a silly crime (not telling, you have to read it for yourself) and a thieving poker dealer.
https://wizardofvegas.com/article/news-and-notes-seven/
Please read, enjoy and comment! I also know many of the Members here get down to Louisiana from time to time, did anyone ever play at the table of the thieving dealer?
Okay, by request of the staff/ownership of our parent site LatestCasinoBonuses.com, I was requested to do an Article/Review of Pornhub Casino, so that's what I did.
Let me preface this by saying that Pornhub Casino does not interject motivational videos extolling the virtues of good Christian living into the play of casino games. If you choose to visit that site, you will be exposed to highly offensive material to some people. If you choose to read my Review, you will be exposed to material that some people may find mild-moderately offensive including, but not limited to, the description of sexual acts that can be viewed depending on what you are doing at Pornhub Casino.
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/pornhub-casino/
Please read, enjoy...and I have a feeling I might not need to urge too many people to comment.
We have two Articles out today, the first one relates to the state of Resort Fees and a bill introduced by Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill to eliminate them:
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/the-end-of-resort-fees/
As always, I try to be objective.
Forget Saul, if you're an AP, you, "Better call Bob," so Attorney Nersesian is the subject of my third edition of, 'People in Gambling':

I suggest you do a part II and come up with a list of good question or something like that.
I know Bob(since the 90's before he was the AP go to name) and I can talk with him and see if he will do a phone interview with you or something.
Perhaps you can get some good ideas from forum members, preferably some stuff that has yet to be asked or in his books.
