It still hasn't been properly addressed as to why you allowed Bob’s requests to shut down thread's.

When my character is being maligned it forces me to defend it. And I prove things all the time, just like the hospital doctor in the 1870s who found that washing his hands after surgery cut down drastically on the transfer of disease. He proved it every time he washed his hands but nobody believed him and his fellow doctors actually locked him up in an insane asylum. I prove it every time I consistently win at the casino and it pays me.

Dieter surprised me by closing the first of EB's threads; I later closed the second because (a) EB asked and (b) I considered the thread to be a public nuisance much like a bar or strip club where the police get called once or twice a night because of fights breaking out. Wizard has closed plenty of threads, most recently a Presidential betting odds thread about two months ago.

There are plenty of threads for discussing EB's claims and methods. This is not one of them. Move these attacks on EB and defensive posts by EB to a different thread, or be in jeopardy of being suspended for hijacking a Miscellaneous Discussion thread.

Ring is a vifeo security company mostly known for the Ring doorbell. They have a live security surveillance service. It's all a ploy to get people to get their doorbell and services offered.

I'm fairly certain they are certain it won't happen because aliens are fiction just like beating -EV roulette and Baccarat. There's actually a better chance of finding extraterrestrial life forms that someone showing proof you can neat a -EV game.

But if by chance their products aided in capturing evidence of an extraterrestrial lifeform they would be glad to give away a million dollars.

Assuming all of your claims are true, how would you not still be a gambler? Because you have an advantage? Having an advantage doesn't make you NOT a gambler. The only way I could see saying you're not gambling is if you were absolutely guaranteed to breakeven, or profit, on every single outcome.

It's the same in Edge as well. Don't know if I remember it not being the case, but could be wrong.
Another convenient thing - instead of right-clicking on the tab you wish to duplicate and choosing from the drop down menu, you can simply middle-click the refresh button.

For actual Miscellaneous Discussion:

I just realized, on Google Chrome, if you duplicate a tab you can now hit the back bar on the duplicate tab and go to the previous page(s) as if the duplicate tab were the original. I don't know how long this has been the case, but it wasn't always and is extremely convenient.

Hey, hey, hey!!!

If you middle click on a link, like, 'Reply,' it automatically puts it in a new tab!!! This is fantastic! Sometimes I don't want to actually quote a post, but I do need to be able to reread what it says.

Yup, pretty handy, am using the link middle click for years.
Also, you can close a tab by middle clicking anywhere on its header, no need to aim for the x.

Yeah it becomes kinda an addiction once you get used to it.
Also also, if you middle click on any icon on the task bar it starts a new instance of that application.

I mean icons on your PC (windows) taskbar, not Chrome.

I don't think I have a taskbar. You just click the picture of what you want the computer to do, like open Chrome.

This thread is a continuation of the previous Miscellaneous Discussion Thread, which had grown to almost 16000 posts -so long that some administrative actions have become impractical to execute.

This thread is for posts and short conversations on random topics that don't naturally fit into other forum threads. Have fun, avoid controversial topics as per the rules Forum Rules, and please do not hijack this thread for multiple-post arguments, feuds or discussions that are expressly the topic of already-existing threads.

All you did is create another thread that will create another 16000 posts.

The new thread (Part 2) will not stop all the nonsense that is posted in the Miscellaneous Discussion Thread.

Question not worth a thread. For those with a medical background.

What would you call it if you can mostly see but everything is cloudy and you cannot read anything at all. I doubt it would be some kind of functional blindness but is there a term?

There are probably a bunch of different underlying causes, and each one gets its own fancy name.
I think the symptom is blurred vision.

There really were technical reasons to close the old thread. With the current posting rate, I conservatively estimate this one will be good for about 18 years.
Only intimidation and personal accountability will truly stop the hijacking.

Sounds like cataracts. Cloudy vision is the hallmark of cataracts. I had mine done in April and I went from blurry vision without glasses to 20/20 vision without glasses. It's very astounding to have clear vision that you've never had in your life. I started wearing glasses when I was 10.
