Introduction

Westgate Las Vegas is located just east of the Las Vegas Strip, directly behind the former Riviera property.  It is home to a Las Vegas Monorail station.  Westgate opened as the International on July 2, 1969.  It later became the Las Vegas Hilton, which was later called the LVH after a bankruptcy.

Restaurants at Westgate

The flagship restaurant at Westgate is Benihana.  It has been on the property longer than any other and specializes in Japanese cuisine.  Many dishes are prepared fresh at the table.  TJ’s is a traditional Las Vegas steakhouse.  Casual options include Teru Sushi, Silk Road Noodle, the buffet, and Sid’s Café.  Fortuna, a coffee shop, and the Superbook Deli are open 24 hours a day.  A small food court offers Pizza Hut, Perk Place, and an ice cream shop.

Entertainment

Westgate presents Sexxy, a topless revue starring Jennifer Romas.  It is very highly acclaimed.  Other entertainment options, as of July 2015, include Graceland presents Elvis: The Exhibition and Suzanne Somers starring in Suzanne Sizzles.

Parking

Westgate offers a large surface lot and two parking decks.  Valet parking is also available.  The second most northern stop on the Las Vegas Monorail is at Westgate.  This gives easy access to the southern portion of the Las Vegas Strip for $5 each way.

My Conclusion

The former Las Vegas Hilton has been brought back to life by Westgate.  Paragon Gaming took over the operation of the casino and it is better than ever.  If you dismissed the property because of its past reputation, it may be time to give Westgate another chance.
