Fortunately, I wasn't there to experience this first-hand. But Mrs Q was, having taken a Labor Day weekend trip out to LV with her sister. ( I went zip-lining back home instead ).

Anyway, she got in line at 3:10 pm on Saturday and got checked-in at 5:10 pm.

UNBELIEVABLY inefficient ! How could Westgate be so understaffed/underprepared ?

I would think for a property out of the way and off strip, they would do everything they could to give their guests a nice experience so there is a chance they would come back again.

The only good thing is that Westgate comp'd the daily resort fee and gave her and her sister a buffet for their trouble.

Yeouch! It's not like they're a little hole in the wall. I wonder what the average wait was at comparably sized Strip properties?

It can really vary at CET properties based on your tier level, gold or non-card could wait 2 hours.

I waited about 90 minutes at Imperial Palace a few years ago. Three days later I moved to Golden Nugget where it was about 5 minutes.

Yeah the old IP had some horrible lines. Fortunately I've never been stuck in one. I haven't seen it get that bad at the Linq yet. Flamingo always seems bad at CET.

Yeah we were there in July. 4 Agents checking in 150+ in the regular line. I was lucky enough to be a Diamond Member so I walked into the Diamond check in, 8 agents checking in about a dozen of us with fruit infused water for your pleasure.

When I go to Vegas, I am typically mindful of how many rooms there are in these hotels, and to schedule my flights to where I will not be arriving to the hotel at peak check-in times, particularly on a three day weekend like Labor Day.

I bypass the normal check in line at MGM as I stay on a comp.

One would think all casinos would have some form of express check in for folks who are comped, but I can't say for sure.

At least to me, the most aggravating part of the Bellagio check-in is that there is no marked queue. They assume folks will be intelligent, courteous, and civilized and figure it out themselves. Egads! If the folks in front of you ain't from Britain, fuggetaboutit.
