Quote: FaceFirst Round TOR v BOS. There is nothing better than this time of year. Also, there is nothing worse than this time of year.
If thecesspit is lurking - Neenerneener =p
If buzz is socking we will find out in 3....2....1....
Are you talking about the time of year when we get to watch crosby be great? My burn isn't so burny after a loss.
Love the early start. Its like watching the Open
Go Tiger
Quote: FaceOdd you'd try to burn anything uusing the most moist player in NHL history.
Moist?
Awful word to start with. What does it mean in this context?
Quote: beachbumbabsTiger leading by 2 after 16. The par 3 16th tee shot he hit was one of the sweetest ever under pressure. If he wins this, that was the shot that shut the door.
Not the same pressure.. or maybe it is in context. I was on my last ball if a 300 game in bowling. I felt like I was going to faint, arm was jelly, and couldn't see straight. Ended up with a 6. Eeek.
This was just a normal league game and nothing special.
I can not imagine how you would feel knowing it is a huge shot and he nailed it.
And before we get the you’ve never been in a clutch situation comment, I’ve had my own Al Bundy moments I Jr. High.
Tiger winning the Masters now makes the next one, the PGA, even more intriguing. I think I watched every shot today. He is the GOAT. I dont care that Jack won more majors.

Several things, dear Babs.
The yoots of today use "moist" as a pejorative, usually to describe something soft and/or feminine.
Eg. Someone: Puts Keith Urban on the radio
Me: "Dude. Please. Get that moist s#$% out of my house."
Moist also describes something damp, wet, or otherwise overly hydrated, which happens to precisely describe the perpetual state of Sid Crosby's cheeks. You know, on account of all the crying.
And finally, a majority of the population has a reflex to the word "moist", one which could be described as a mild revulsion. Not coincidentally, it mirrors the reaction to a majority of the population hearing the phrase "Crosby is (insert any positive aspect here)."
Awful word? Perhaps. But while it might be awful, it is perfectly accurate =)
On a happier note, we are all about to join a club that only EB and kenarman belong to. Absolutely mental watching it all go down.

What? Lost me again.

What? Lost me again.
Leafs are going to win the Cup. EB and kenarman are the only ones old enough to have witnessed that before =)
He was actually closer to the half court line then the 3 point line
Amazing performance to witness overall either way, he really had to work for that 50, and it’s always satisfying to see Westbrook lose.
Quote: lilredroosterDamian Lillard 37 foot buzzer beater to beat OKC in series in 5 games - he had 50 for the game
lol at red tank tops expression, should be a meme.
he was truly great - a perpetual motion machine - he just ran and ran and ran and ran
Celts would never have gotten all those championships with out him - I feel sad - I really admired the guy

Rest in Peace.
The funniest thing about the draft is how sports reporters rate how well teams drafted
WTF
Nobody knows how well a team drafted till about 5 years down the road
Quote: DRichI remember him as Bobby Knight's teammate on the Buckeyes.
How old are you? Hondo was around for about ten years before I saw him.
Did you see George Mikan play? I saw Bob Cousey come off the bench when he was player coach for the Royals one game.

I remember Hondo
1976 NBA Finals
Celtics vs Suns
Game 5 OT. One of the best basketball games I have ever seen in my life

Sure, but he, Lucas and Knight played together decades before that.
Daniel Jones, Duke QB, selected by the Giants as the 6th pick of the draft? ??? NYC newspapers will be roasting the Giants.

I don't know the stats or the market, but there was a time when Eli was just Peyton's younger, less-talented brother. Takes a few years to develop - maybe they know what his true potential is.

Why roast
This might br a great pick. Could be a bust.
Nobody knows till about 5 years down the road
What were the initial reports when Tom Brady was drafted??????????

Giants could have traded down, still got him and picked up extra chips. Same thing last year. They took a RB with #2 pick in draft when he would have been there at 4 or 5.

I follow college FB closely and was unaware of Daniel Jones -never heard of him - until he floated up the draft boards recently. He does not have a cannon for an arm and he is not mobile.
Dwayne Haskins, the Ohio State QB, was available to be picked and was ranked universally as the #2 QB in the draft, with some preferring him to Kyler Murray. I think the Giants like Daniel Jones for his intelligence - an attribute that sportscasters tiptoe around.
And sometimes, you know very quickly if a QB is a bust or great - it often does not take 5 years. Pat Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Carson Wentz are great. Once, the pre-draft question was: Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf? They were drafted 1-2. And it very quickly became apparent who was who.
he says, and I agree with him - that NBA refs have received more training and are now more neutral and aren't favoring the stars - letting them get away with stuff such as traveling, and that is infuriating the stars who are used to privilege and they are striking back powerfully in social media. the refs are getting better yet they are made to look like they are getting worse
a perfect example is the 2nd vid - James Harden went crying everywhere yesterday about the no call at the end of the game on his 3 pt. attempt. if you watch the vid at :23 you can clearly see that he jumps forward into the defender. he doesn't deserve to go to the line for that. he's a crybaby. it was a good no call.

He had an ERA over 6 before the game and it was his second career no-no.

the shot itself:
the NBA does deliver excitement in the playoffs at least sometimes
As the play developed, I just did not think it was going in. I thought OT
Just incredible as it bounced 4 times on the rim
Very exciting.

Good article. Thanks for sharing. I like Titans Under a lot but can’t find it anywhere at 8.5 but only 8. Did your lines come from a live place?
ETA: I see Odds Shark link now. Think some of those are stale.

Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, even with the disclaimer I deliberately did not include the Lines (stale or otherwise) because, since I occasionally give AP advice, I want to make absolutely sure that article is not interpreted as gambling advice.
Since a Sharks player was the next to touch it, under NHL rules, the play should have been blown dead.
𝐎𝐔𝐂𝐇!!!............................that hurts if you're for the other side
These things happen.
Maybe they should have scored in the open net with one of their several shots.
Or, better defense in the last minute.
They got some lucky calls earlier in the game and I knew they needed another goal.
I’m so angry about all of this.
Go Sharks!!
Can be found in various places, but here's one.

Pretty shocking Rapinoe not starting
If the US does not score by halftime, I think we will see Rapinoe start the 2nd half
Go USA
LBJ and Anthony Davis - Lakers
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George - Clippers
Kyrie Irving and Durant - Nets
James Harden and Westbrook - Rockets
Steph Curry and Klay Thompson - Warriors
very exciting to watch
