Odd you'd try to burn anything using the most moist player in NHL history.

Moist?

Awful word to start with. What does it mean in this context?

Tiger leading by 2 after 16. The par 3 16th tee shot he hit was one of the sweetest ever under pressure. If he wins this, that was the shot that shut the door.

Not the same pressure.. or maybe it is in context. I was on my last ball if a 300 game in bowling. I felt like I was going to faint, arm was jelly, and couldn't see straight. Ended up with a 6. Eeek.
This was just a normal league game and nothing special.

I can not imagine how you would feel knowing it is a huge shot and he nailed it.

I’m of the opinion that particularly among professional athletes, “clutch” is not a real thing, simply a small sample size issue in particular situations.

And before we get the you’ve never been in a clutch situation comment, I’ve had my own Al Bundy moments I Jr. High.

Our bet was about Pitt/Cle # of wins. (I didn't remember, had to look back!)

Tiger winning the Masters now makes the next one, the PGA, even more intriguing. I think I watched every shot today. He is the GOAT. I dont care that Jack won more majors.

Several things, dear Babs.

The yoots of today use "moist" as a pejorative, usually to describe something soft and/or feminine.
Eg. Someone: Puts Keith Urban on the radio
Me: "Dude. Please. Get that moist s#$% out of my house."

Moist also describes something damp, wet, or otherwise overly hydrated, which happens to precisely describe the perpetual state of Sid Crosby's cheeks. You know, on account of all the crying.

And finally, a majority of the population has a reflex to the word "moist", one which could be described as a mild revulsion. Not coincidentally, it mirrors the reaction to a majority of the population hearing the phrase "Crosby is (insert any positive aspect here)."

Awful word? Perhaps. But while it might be awful, it is perfectly accurate =)

On a happier note, we are all about to join a club that only EB and kenarman belong to. Absolutely mental watching it all go down.

That wasn’t a high percentage shot but for comparison sake it was better than the triple teamed contested fade away long twos that “clutch” Kobe was known for taking while he had teammates waiting with wide open 15 footers. And Dame and Steph are probably the only two players in the league who will routinely pull up from about 3-4 feet in front of that spot if unguarded.

Amazing performance to witness overall either way, he really had to work for that 50, and it’s always satisfying to see Westbrook lose.

I "hated" Hondo. Guy just did everything right. He stumbled into open shots, somehow ended with with loose rebounds and had every foul call go his way. We hates him.

I don't know the stats or the market, but there was a time when Eli was just Peyton's younger, less-talented brother. Takes a few years to develop - maybe they know what his true potential is.

Giants could have traded down, still got him and picked up extra chips. Same thing last year. They took a RB with #2 pick in draft when he would have been there at 4 or 5.

I follow college FB closely and was unaware of Daniel Jones -never heard of him - until he floated up the draft boards recently. He does not have a cannon for an arm and he is not mobile.

Dwayne Haskins, the Ohio State QB, was available to be picked and was ranked universally as the #2 QB in the draft, with some preferring him to Kyler Murray. I think the Giants like Daniel Jones for his intelligence - an attribute that sportscasters tiptoe around.

And sometimes, you know very quickly if a QB is a bust or great - it often does not take 5 years. Pat Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Carson Wentz are great. Once, the pre-draft question was: Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf? They were drafted 1-2. And it very quickly became apparent who was who.

really interesting - Michael Lewis, an author who usually writes about the stock market has a podcast which looks at what's happening with NBA referees and how it is similar to what's happening in other parts of the public where people have jobs similar to referees

he says, and I agree with him - that NBA refs have received more training and are now more neutral and aren't favoring the stars - letting them get away with stuff such as traveling, and that is infuriating the stars who are used to privilege and they are striking back powerfully in social media. the refs are getting better yet they are made to look like they are getting worse

a perfect example is the 2nd vid - James Harden went crying everywhere yesterday about the no call at the end of the game on his 3 pt. attempt. if you watch the vid at :23 you can clearly see that he jumps forward into the defender. he doesn't deserve to go to the line for that. he's a crybaby. it was a good no call.

Good article. Thanks for sharing. I like Titans Under a lot but can’t find it anywhere at 8.5 but only 8. Did your lines come from a live place?

ETA: I see Odds Shark link now. Think some of those are stale.

Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, even with the disclaimer I deliberately did not include the Lines (stale or otherwise) because, since I occasionally give AP advice, I want to make absolutely sure that article is not interpreted as gambling advice.

I turned it off right after they scored. Found out about this this morning.

These things happen.

Maybe they should have scored in the open net with one of their several shots.

Or, better defense in the last minute.

They got some lucky calls earlier in the game and I knew they needed another goal.

I’m so angry about all of this.

Can be found in various places, but here's one.

I wish I could have seen it without knowing the outcome.

Nets gamble on Durant - snag him as free agent - probably won't play in upcoming season - injury pretty serious - no guarantee of full recovery

USA vs England
Pretty shocking Rapinoe not starting
If the US does not score by halftime, I think we will see Rapinoe start the 2nd half
Go USA
When somebody doesn't believe me, I could care less. Some get totally bent out of shape when not believed. Weird. I believe very little on all forums
