I think you do her and the situation a disservice by characterizing what happened in Georgia as HER being racist.
Admittedly without looking up the exact details, the secretary of state there purged the voter rolls of about 1/2 million names, that was disproportionately black and minority and registered democrat, on questionable grounds and timing.
The secretary of state went ahead with the purge despite lawsuits and conflict of interest charges. And the secretary of state refused to recuse himself in the process of the purge and conducting the election, despite the obvious conflict of interest.
The secretary of state was the Republican candidate for governor (her opponent) , and won the election in a very close race, much closer than the margin of people questionably purged.
So, in this case, I think there is a legitimate, non-race-based complaint, and the racist actions may well be appropriately assigned to the Republican . I don't particularly like Stacy Abrams, but I think she's (and the Georgia Democrats have) got a strong point.
I don't think it would matter if the Democratic candidate was male or female, black or white - that candidate was screwed over by the actions of the Republican secretary of state.
