joints like Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendys, etc. are masters at giving their food flavor - using a concoction of spices and other things
they all have one thing in common - the meat they use - particularly beef - not so much chicken - which is the most expensive part of the sandwich - is cheap, low quality beef
they're hoping the customer will forgive or forget about the low quality beef because of the flavor of the sandwich
and they're right - a great many customers do forgive or forget about the low quality beef

The main reason I do not eat fast food burgers is that they have zero taste. I do not like condiments so a burger to me is just beef on a bun, possibly cheese but absolutely nothing else. I have not found a fast food burger that I like,

Yes, but I think the cow is biased.

He was recently on a diet and his weight does go up at times. He likes to fast often between his videos. Also likes to bike ride. However you are right he does eat thousands of calories at a time. I think it is the fasting that keeps things in check.
He said on 24-hour stealth parking fast food binges that sometimes he eats as much as eight thousand calories a day. All that fat sugar carb and salt in one day and at his age has to be having some kind of health effect on him. There is no way around it. The amount of sugar and carb he eats at breakfast sometimes makes me cringe. Yet I keep watching. Some truck stops now have machines did make fresh pizza while you wait. Not frozen, fresh. The refrigerator side is loaded up with pre-made pies and the oven side bakes the one you select in a real oven. Completely run by robots. They are pretty good from the reviews I read.

Someone try this on your kids or your spouse and see if it’s got any merit.
Chunks of potato, onion, pepper and sausage baked together in a casserole dish.
Easy and tasty.

Put it in a cast iron pan and fry it and it's called hash.

Only one extra wife.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's lasagna rollups. They look great.

Thems fighting words where I come from. I'll agree Stouffer's is easy to cook but they should stick to Mac and cheese.

So you have cut back due to the economy. One extra wife will probably be enough if you pace yourself.

Go for 3, what do you have to lose. I only have one wife I can't be with her for more than a few hours or I start to lose my mind. You must have True Grit.
I’m amazed that someone could refer to a pre-made (frozen?) boxed dinner as “quality”.Quote: MrVHard to beat Stouffer's lasagna for ease of prep and quality of product...

Valid point when compared to home made, but my observation rings true, at least in my experience, when compared to most other frozen food entres out there.
Bon appetite'!

In other words when all you eat is crap, there's the good crap and the bad crap. Stouffer's it's just a crap against crap comparison.
Stouffer's is not as good as a properly made home made lasagna, but it is tasty enough not to warrant that aspersion.
Then again, one man's crap is another man's delight.

Any Frozen entree is just Frozen Crap to me. Just salt fat sugar and carb put together in a clever way.

I do like me some cheap Chinese food.
Today will be shrimp & scallops, corn, potato's, and sausage in a spicy sauce with some Texas Toast to sop up the broth. I am very excited as I rarely get to eat it.

Your role as the tiebreaking vote.
IMHO if you have prepared or bought some food that is just not quite up to par - if you buy some regular potato chips (not ranch or other flavors, that's too overwhelming) and then crush them up and put them in your dish - whatever it might be - that it will become instantly more flavorful

This is really common in WW2 era struggle recipes and Midwestern casseroles.
Potato chips on a sandwich is next level.
The cheese mix was slightly off but overall it was a great success.
Breakfast just now was reheated manicotti, breakfast sausage, and a mostly milk smoothie, on my back deck overlooking San Jose mountain.
When breakfast is such a success, it makes you wonder why do anything else?
We bought it from the usual source, the best in our area.
It's good to find a place with big portions, fresh ingredients, and consistently very high quality food.
No, it ain't in Las Vegas; I wonder which Chinese restaurant is the best in Sin City?
Quote: lilredrooster.......and then crush them up and put them in your dish - whatever it might be - that it will become instantly more flavorful
It's the salt that does it and the crunch. All you're really doing is adding more salt because a potato chip without salt doesn't taste like anything. Like somebody else mentioned it's an old trick of putting crushed potato chips or crushed saltine crackers on a dish. You can even make a fake apple pie out of saltine crackers that tastes almost like the real thing

This is John Pinette's famous comedy bit from the 1980s on Las Vegas buffets. Especially Chinese buffets. He probably couldn't do it today because it's not politically correct. It gets funnier every time I see it.
I've had a lot of luck with mixing different sauces together
I bought an Asian sauce called Sukiyaki which was too spicy for me
I mixed it with a good quality Russian and a good quality Ranch dressing
I thought it was gonna suck but actually it was great
sauces can make a big difference in the enjoyment you get from your food

"Cava" is a fairly new Mediterranean chain with 88 locations on the east coast, and in Texas and CA
they make eating healthy a little bit exciting
first you get a bowl either of salad or rice or pita
then you can choose and add up to 3 different kinds of hummus or dips - free with your bowl
then you choose a protein - beef, lamb, chicken or falafels
then you can choose from about 11 different veggies - comes free with your bowl
then you add a dressing
it all comes to about $12.00 - for me it's big enough for 2 meals
I like it quite a bit

Local Buffalo chain called Rachel’s. My bowl overfloweth by the time I’m done! It is excellent.

I have the 7 Eleven App so I get a discount sometimes
don't really understand when I get it and for what items
yesterday I bought a quarter pound big bite hot dog - nothing else
the cashier punched in a bunch of lines on my receipt - I think 6 - they were all abbreviated and I didn't know what any of it meant
the total price for the dog ended up being $1.06................(~:\
I almost feel embarrassed to say this but the dog was really good
I'm generally not a fan of 7 Eleven food - I got the App just for the deal on coffee
now I realize, my snobbery was misplaced - they have some tasty items
it's hit or miss - because sometimes they stay in their heating device too long and they end up overcooked

They used to do a wrap, or maybe still do, that was red beans and a chicken strip
great news - some of the grocery store hot bars have just opened back up
Whole Foods is one of them
they have brisket - excellent - and also all different kinds of chicken

I can fill myself up for $3 at McDonalds. I love the $1 menu combined with their mobile app I can get two small sandwiches, a fry, and a large drink for $3.
lately, I have a new thing - I'm all about coconut milk
sometimes I drink it but the main thing is to turbocharge deserts
you have to go to an Asian or Latino store to get the best coconut milk
but Goya brands, from Spain, is in the big chain stores
and it's pretty good
pour some over a plain pastry and I'm in heaven - much better than the shredded coconut
.
a week, love them. You can wrap almost
anything in nori. This one is lettuce, cucumber,
avocado, cream cheese and a super thin
slice of deli roast beef.
It's basically the same concept and relative consistency of a lavash roll up, except using the seaweed instead.
By the way, what kind of seaweed is it? Dulse seems like it would be a great choice for the two pictured roll-ups because it's more savory and you're already getting sweetness from other components, such as the avocado and cream cheese. I'd go Wakame if you didn't already have sweetness coming from any other components.
My only real objection to the top one pictured on this page is that I'd have minced the red onions, instead. If you get one of those long pieces that lands dead center on the tongue, then that sometimes seems like all you really get out of that bite, to me.
