Sunlight, yeah, artificial light no. So keep
it out of the sun. Plastic is fine if you
use it within a year.

It’s one of those things that you don’t know you’re missing until you have the good stuff.

A 17oz bottle of Walmart Brand EVOO is $3.98 compared to $7.98 for California Olive Ranch which Walmart also carries. A bottle lasts me 2-3 months.

Trust me the extra $4 is worth it.

When I was a kid my grandma switched to Country Crock. My grandfather threw that stuff out. He claimed he might as well use WD-40. Turns out he was pretty much correct.

To be faiir, WD-40 is the tastiest of all the penetrating oils. Liquid wrench may as well be peanut oil.

That's probably why he said WD-40. I'm sure my grandfather tasted it or used it as some sort of remedy at one point or another. He had a solution that involved kerosene for most cuts. Even ones that should require stitches😀
But he damn sure knew it wasn't butter.😂

as y'all know I was math challenged all my life but after a recent episode of metabolic crises in intracranial pressure, it has gotten worse,

Here is the data:' cereal box reads:16.4 ounces ... 465grams.

serving size is 63grams or one and one quarter cups.

about seven servings per container.

any way to figure out what each tiny bit of shredded wheat is?

How many bits are in a cup?

Throw the wheat in the trash and your metabolic syndrome might take care of itself.

And replace it with what?
I get MoW which is often chicken or beef but with things like rice or pasta. They bring cookie or pastry as well and a vegetable. Both MoW and the Food Bank bring loaves of bread and the FoodBank is heavy on breads, pastry and sugary junk food.

I'd like to do beans and keep my calories to the 1,000 to 1,200 per day, but shredded wheat is simple and fast and is without sugar. Beans take time and often get tiresome.

I no longer get much sugar-water and the only salt is either in the MoW food or its from their weekly bag of potato chips. Since I have gout I do try to consume a good deal of water which probably washes a lot of salt out of my system.

I would order this in a restaurant

I did something today I don't do very often. I had fast food. I had a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger, fry, and a large Frosty. I have so much sugar in my body right now I am considering going to the gym and doing some running. I won't, I haven't been to a gym in 20 years and I haven't ran more than 100 yards in 15 years, but I am at least thinking about it.

I've told the the story about my one and only
venture into Subway. I liked how the guacamole
turkey sub looked in the picture on the wall, so
I ordered it and took it home. It looked absolutely
nothing like the picture. I was furious and I took
it back and demanded a refund. The person in
charge actually called the franchise owner to see
if it was okay to give me a refund. It was ridiculous,
to have a couple of smears of guacamole on one
of the buns and that was it. Did not resemble this

The Poorhouse funded a pool party of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, etc. The usual high sugar, high salt junk food, sodas, etc. that I am supposed to avoid. Then the MoW arrived and it was pretty much the same thing, so I ate their burger and this time used the sugar-laden ketchup and mustard that they supply. So it was a day of high fructose corn syrup and stuff like that. I will try to avoid such gluttony today though.

Have to sit out in the wind, rain and mosquitoes to let the MoW people in to the building today. I tell myself its 'fresh air' but its really just cold, wet and insect infested.

Throw the buns away and use a
lettuce wrap. Mustard has no
sugar. Use mustard and mayo
and pickles and cheese on a burger.

I've been drinking vodka straight
for years. Heaven Hill brand because
it tastes great for a cheap vodka.
They were out a few weeks ago
(it's hugely popular) so I got some
rum instead. Holy cow it's good
straight. White rum is aged in
used oak barrels and that gives
it a great flavor. Turns out HH
makes a good rum too, $12 a half
gallon. Then I read this and I'm
a rum drinker now:

Rum can increase good cholesterol, also known as HDL cholesterol, and combat artery blockages, helping to prevent heart attacks and heart disease. It also prevents dementia.

Other researchers claim alcohol impedes cells in the brain from clearing plaque. Alzheimer's is characterized by the formation of plaque. Then again drinkers will tell themself anything to justify the vice.😂😂😂

While a couple of glasses of wine can help clear the mind after a busy day, new research shows that it may actually help clean the mind as well. The new study shows that low levels of alcohol consumption tamp down inflammation and helps the brain clear away toxins, including those associated with Alzheimer's disease.

Yes, I'm sure you know more than the researchers. Gum disease is even linked to Alzheimer's. The same bacteria cause the formation of plaque in the brain that impedes brain function. There is plenty of info out there on it.

Women have a two times greater
risk of Alz than men, yet in the US
2/3 of those that have it are women.
It's most prevalent in EU, least in
Africa. Yet in the US blacks are twice
as likely to get Alz than whites. Try
and figure that one out. Hispanics
are 1.5 times as likely. Blacks make
up 12% of the population yet 20%
of people that have Alz are black.

This means if you're white and male,
your chances of Alz are far less than
blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans,
and women.

The severity of Alz has decreased in
the last 30 years and nobody knows
why. We're doing something that
we didn't used to do that's making
the disease less severe.

I'm guessing it might correlate somewhat with the lopsided (compared to other demographics) statistics on white men over 45 or so dying from heart attacks and certain cancers. You nearly always have to live into your late 60s or more to get Alzheimer's or dementia.

You nearly always have to live into your late 60s or more to get Alzheimer's or dementia.

Males with premature dementia get diagnosed with premature dementa; females with premature dementia get sent to shrinks. See propublica.

I'm guessing it might correlate somewhat with the lopsided (compared to other demographics) statistics on white men over 45 or so dying from heart attacks and certain cancers.

"A new WHO report shows that men die 4.4 years earlier than women."

I don't think 4 years has a significant
impact on the Alz numbers.
