This is it. I'm guessing heavy on the

Gotta brine it first. Soak it in a bag
of salt water in the fridge for 24 hours.
Tenderizes it and gives it just a hint
of salt.

I eat those because they're dense and roast
very well. They can stay in the oven an
hour with the meat and not get overcooked.
I also use turnips and rutabaga.

There you go.
Last night I made grilled pork ribs rosticciana. Unlike barbecued ribs, these are done like steaks, quickly over medium high heat, about 500*. They retain the toothiness of a good piece of meat, yet remain tender. Use a meat thermometer to avoid over cooking them to shoe leather.

From MoW, so its hot, free and delivered. Nothing to wash, no risk of a burner being left on if I don't have to turn it on at all.Quote: EvenBobSolid sugar, all of it. Great if you're 6 months old, bad for an adult.

Quote: billryanJust noticed my stock in Beyond Beef, bought in May for about $25 is selling north of $150 a share. I'm still trying to decide if this is a fad or a serious new food group.
Someone on CNBC compared the stock to Bitcoin. I would assume that means more of an overpriced fad. If it was me I would sell a good portion of it and keep a little.

It depends on your goal. My guess is your goal is to live longer, mine is to live better now and enjoy myself more even if that means dying younger.
Quote: DRichmine is to live better now
So is mine, that's why I have a diet
that makes me feel good and keeps
my BP down. When I ate junk food
crap, I didn't know how crappy I
really felt until I started eating healthy.

I can dig that. I don't have kids or close relatives so I hope I croak far before I deteriorate.
But I also don't want to have a stroke as that's kind of the antithesis of "living better", and super high blood pressure can definitely do that. So I take my meds and try to keep off the salt.

I am also concerned about a stroke and just hope that I have the wherewithal to off myself if that occurs.

Although that is my plan, I am not advocating that others follow it.
I really don't understand why people put such a high value on human life. It wouldn't bother me at all if all humans vanished in the near term.
Quote: DRichAlthough that is my plan, I am not advocating that others follow it.
You don't have to, most 16 year
olds live that way. Then they grow
up and realize, bad plan.
30s you can still absorb some punishment but time to start introducing moderation and good habits.
40s -early 70s. Become more of a health and fitness Nazi each year. There is a very pronounced fork in the road here. You can still look, feel and function well for decades, or you can turn into a blob on wheels in few years.

Sorry, bad joke. I was just picturing you "all swole up like a tick". I'm sure it was miserable, but glad you were able to discharge the fluids and heal at least somewhat.
BTW, I think very highly of The Tick. No insult intended.
It seems The Tick is on some sort of intake phase. Even these special pantyhose type things they want me to wear are too tight as I swell.
good news though; a casino night at the casino will be taking place and I hope to sign up for a party bus to get to the nearest Seminole rip-off joint.

I have never done any illegal drugs, including marijuana, but if I ever decide to I will try heroin. I just like the concept of cooking it in a bottle cap in the alley and then sticking the needle in my arm. I think that intrigues me more than the drug itself.
