I've dabbled in low-grade opioids, such as prescription cough medicine and vikes. I enjoyed them very much and so I knew that if I tried the more potent stuff, the wheels would probably come off. But once they come off anyway...
Quote: billryanIs this the place with the frozen custard? I wasnt crazy about their Signature burger combo but the dessert kicked ass.
Maybe you're thinking of Freddy's. I remember the burger and fries being edible... certainly better than BK or McDs, not as good as In N Out, and the custard being pretty damn tasty.

No, this is a chain I hadn't seen before. In fact, I thought it was a mom and pop place that just grew. One in Sierra.Vista, and a couple in Tucson. Better custard than Freddys. I never had Freddys burgers.

It's okay. I washed it down with copious amounts of Diet Root Beer. When you add in all the calories saved, it's quasi-healthy. I wouldn't eat it every meal, but two or three times a day.....

Culver's is a big chain in the midwest. Great custard and average food. I think they have over 700 locations.
Making Bean Soup today.
Considering mashed potato mix but can't add the requested milk, so not sure what to do.
Two slices low salt Swiss, a handful of shredded mozzarella, two slices of Italian Roast Beef, a slice of fresh mozzarella , a dollop(?) of Smokey BBQ sauce, on sourdough rye cooked to golden perfection. Ranger pudding on the side.
If only my mind was as easily satisfied as my stomach.

I try to save a few pennies making soup and I fall so hard I bang up my already screwed up knee and have to call the fire department to get me off the floor.
now i'll be out the cost of some pain pills and the ambulance run, so much for saving money!!

No I think it's Culver's. Fantastic custard (that's really rich ice cream) and really good fresh-made hamburgers. Highly recommend if your diet allows high-calorie goodness.
They surely did. Its not just will power; its won't power that I lack.Quote: EvenBobAnd they had a gun to your head forcing you to eat it.

The milk is not essential. It tastes creamier than with water, but if you have some butter, put a bit extra of that in. They'll just taste more like baked insides than mashed.
Now, if you have some chicken or turkey boullion or liquid stock, and you boil that instead of just water, then mix in your potatoes, that's a VERY nice substitute. No milk needed.
Swanson's turkey stock in a can is usually less than a dollar. One can will make about 3-4 cups of mashed potatoes.

instead of mashed potato mix if you just get a russet potato, microwave it for 12 minutes, then put it on your plate, cut it up and mash it all down with a big soup spoon you'll have something much better than a mix, basically it's mashed potatoes, just a little lumpier - add butter or margarine and you're in like Flint - eat or don't eat the skin per your preference - the more you mash it down with a spoon the smoother it gets
Lady Variance has decreed that I be without transportation for awhile and am therefore unable to acquire a Russet potato. Lady Variance has also decreed that, for the nonce, I will have to be without a microwave. I am very angry with Lady Variance. I have good reason to be.Quote: lilredroosterif you just get a russet potato, microwave it for 12 minutes, then
Thanks. Once every eight weeks the food bank provides a can of ready-made Progresso chicken soup, so maybe I will use that. I will be consuming parsley and I know it goes well with potatoes. Its a good option to use parsley when your Rx for a diuretic runs out.Quote: beachbumbabsThe milk is not essential. Quote: DRichI have never done any illegal drugs, including marijuana, but if I ever decide to I will try heroin. I just like the concept of cooking it in a bottle cap in the alley and then sticking the needle in my arm. I think that intrigues me more than the drug itself.
I can see DRich now, talking to a drug dealer, "Yes, excuse me sir. Umm, how much would you recommend for a first time user? I heard with some drugs it might matter how much you've eaten that day, so for more complete information, the last time I ate was 3 days ago and it was a box of unheated Totino's pizza rolls. Oh I also had a bar of snickers and handful of skittles for breakfast today."
Stir fryed some deli roast beef, threw in some frozen onions and peppers, shredded mozzarella, mixed a sauce of smoky BBQ and teriyaki sauce, all on a toasted Kings Hawaiian roll., served with a side of raw carrots.
Had a similar sandwich from a food truck at a foodie fest and have been trying to duplicate it since. Roast beef doesn't taste quite right, nor do steak-ums.

Buy a package in the meat department of raw steak tips. Usually pretty cheap, around $4/lb. Sear on high heat 3 minutes on a couple sides in butter, salt, and pepper. Pull them off the heat and slice thin. Do your stir-fry as above, adding the meat last, after the frozen vegs have softened.

Where will Fleastiff post?
It should be based on my understanding of the new rules (nothing in this thread is gaming or gaming-tourism related).
But, I suspect the rule is so broad, it will be selectively enforced. I think that they already locked the threads that they wanted gone, so I think we are safe talking about food (for now).

Yes, it will probably be closed but its no great loss as no one reads my posts anyway. They had to call out the Rescue Truck on Saturday though.
Cut up some tomatoes, put it on mixed greens. Caesar dressing. A bit of garlic salt and real salt.
Pretty damn good. Healthy AF. Easy to make.

What makes their rotisserie chicken better than others? Sprouts has a garlic herb one that I really like now. I think they are $6.99. Always interested in trying others though.
i'd use it to 'flavor' the dry food that I fed to the feral cats, they sure liked that.
the Walmart version of Spam. I was dubious

really mellows the meat.
How can they expect me to eat this? Someone order me a Totino's pizza.

I've tried Sprouts but don't remember it clearly.
Food4less uses a bigger, better quality bird (that's what she said) than Smith's or Albertsons. The dark meat is much better. I like the seasoning.

I stopped eating rotisserie chicken when
I found out they pump all kinds of sugar
and liquid into it to get the weight up
and make it juicy. Ick.. It contains water,
salt, sodium phosphate, modified food starch,
potato dextrin, carrageenan, sugar, dextrose,
spice extractives, MSG. It's actually a processed
food.
They take birds that are about to expire and
run them thru a machine that pokes them with
a hundred needles injecting the liquid into them.
Freeze them and ship everywhere. No thanks.

Well, apparently this thread is not going to be closed but I've nothing thrilling to post about as far as my haute cuisine diet goes. MoW delivered a deviled turkey sandwhich and some bread and butter pickles, also a lille plastic thingie of three bean salad. It was good. As usual it put me to sleep afterwards but since fire alarms are being tested today restorative sleep is unlikely.

You're right. I read the ingredients and it seems sub optimal. Though it is still keto.
If I was eating perfectly, I'd make it myself, use an organic bird, etc. But it's not bad when you're on the run. Probably better to go to El Pollo Loco or one of the South American places that makes pollo a la brasa.

Oh man. One of my favorite foods, brought back to life.
I eat the same exact thing 7 days a week
Morning: blueberries and strawberries in a blender with a scoop of vanilla whey protein and ice cubes. Awesome smoothie.
Lunch: four scrambled eggs with a cup of spinach.
Lunch 2: 1 cup oatmeal with a scoop of protein.
Dinner: cauliflower or broccoli with seafood.
About 2200 calories total. I eat all of that between 11am and 8pm , each meal three hours apart
