I pulled this pork roast out at 133
degree's and 10 min later it was at
140. This will change your mind
about pork forever. As good as
rare roast beef.

I was travelling yesterday and only had an English muffin. I had that for breakfast and didn't eat again. I hate paying airport prices for food.

Not today, I have plans on going to a local restaurant where the owners are from Buffalo. I will probably have a beef on weck and some chicken wings.

I like kummelweck rolls because of the salt. If I'm going to eat some bread can't go wrong with that choice.

It is a harder roll with a salt crust on it. I really like it for things like french dips.

I thought it was brevity is the soul of lingerie.

As for what I ate today, it was whatever MoW brought me. I usually just wolf it down without noticing much. I do remember there were four halves of cookies:n, 3 sugar cookies, one a peanut butter cookie.

I also had baby onions from the food bank people. Taste is terrible and they stain the water brown. I also had my standby taste-killer: sunflower-butter.

There is always FedEx. He could stay living in his kitchen and FedEx the cabbage to you, but Meals on Wheels is far cheaper, indeed its free!

As far as today, I took pains to take special note. It was Spaghetti with meat sauce, diced carrots and angel cake. (In reality they were actually "cubed" carrots since they lacked spots.) No information as to calories, salt or sugar content. I will TRY to make it my only meal for the day.

No, but it sure seems to help make things more bearable if you fall into each category.

Nothing since my MoW spaghetti, maybe I will finish off those bitter baby onions/challots/whatever. Or perhaps cook pasta which the quacks say is bad for me.

I buy frozen meatballs with jarred sauce. It doesn't taste great but only takes 2:30 in the microwave.

Eating is one of the few things
in life we have complete control
over. I know that when I make
something a certain way, it
will always be 100% what I
expected. It's why I hate restaurants,
you never know what crap you'll
be served. It's always a disappointment.

I eat the same thing for lunch
every day, as I've said. Sardines
and anchovies, an avocado, and
a few few pickled peperoncini.
A riot of flavors and super good
for you.

I've been losing weight. Pretty much eating about the same way each day.
This is resulting in about 3-4 lbs. a week loss.

2 eggs, 1 slice ham, and spinach made all together.

Banana

Chicken breast, 8oz steak, or fish, asparagus spears, broccoli crowns, and carrots seasoned w/ Olive oil, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Again all made in one pan.

Bowl of cantaloupe or honeydew melon

Cup of ginger tea at night. Otherwise only water which is normal for me anyhow.

Everything except tea and water is consumed in 8 hour time period. Sometimes 10 if I'm busy.

Cooked up a batch of my near legendary spaghetti and meat sauce. I used to make it once a month or so but now it's more like twice a year. Was really looking forward to frying up a bunch for breakfast but realized I had no olive oil.
Ended up mixing some melted Country Crock with grated cheese as a substitute but the end result was a middling success, at best.

Sugar in itself isn't so bad, it's on top being potentially harmful and a risk for healthy people to wind up being unhealthy. I fast a lot unintentionally, only because I can be so distracted I ignore plenty of body signals telling me I should do things. Sometimes all I can get myself to eat is sugar after a long day with nothing to eat. Thursday morning was such a day, had apple pie, blueberry peach pie, a pistachio muffin, and 2 bottles of milk. It just happened to be I just also didn't feel like waiting for food to be cooked, so I ate these desserts. Thinking about this, I realize I'm actually not healthy. Lol. Boooom.

My thoughts are that everything in moderation as long as it is a non-processed whole food.
The keto people have a good case.
The plant based people have a good case.
Not so sure about the fuitarians having a good case but some fruit can't be too bad with Jack LaLanne being a prime example.
To get fanatical will cause one to miss out on many enjoyable options.
It would be interesting to do each for a few months with lab results at the end of each period.

In the 50's we were only allowed
to eat in front of the TV on Sunday
to watch Lassie. And it was always
soup and sandwich, usually Campbells
tomato soup and a grilled cheese.
Best meal of the week.

It was cold and nasty today so I
had homemade cream of turnip
green soup and thin sliced beef
and cheese sandwiches. Bread
is keto cloud bread made with
eggs and cream cheese.

The only people who think it turned out like the real thing are people who lie to themselves.

It's like when someone is gluten free and they say they found a gluten free dessert and think it is just as good. Had a coworker bring gluten free jello pretzel salad. Worst dessert ever and she claims to think it is great.

Absolutely wrong. White bread is almost
tasteless, as is cloud bread. All I taste on
either is the hot fried butter and the tang
of the cheese. Just what you're supposed
to taste in a grilled cheese. I used Muenster
cheese, so there was a real tang to it.

GF pretzels are corn based and I actually think they are better.

There’s also some packaged GF cookies/brownies that are legitimately good.

But yea, while I’m sure evenbobs bread is better than processed white Wonderbread, I doubt it’s better than a crusty French baguette.
