He has documents showing draft testimony he submitted to WH lawyers that were changed, and though that testimony and documents are under the closed session umbrella, the implication is that the lawyers and/or Trump had him lie.

I do not find him demeaning the office at all. I find him patriotic. I think he acts like an alpha-male leader, which is a good thing. The PC crowd cannot handle this. Watching lefties during Obama made me sad. For sure there's a minority of the Right that hated him just because he was black. For sure. But I found that Mr Obama was deserving of a lot of criticism, criticism that could never be levied due to the screams of "racism" drowning out any conversation. I thought it was a terrible look, and (at least in my eyes) did much to damage the reputation of the "party of compassion". AZD oft used the phrase "cult of personality" when referring to them, and I found it hard to argue in many cases. There was no "right and wrong". Everything was "us v them".

Now we're here, and... I don't know what I expected. I'm just old enough to remember the old man Christian outrage of Clinton. What a f#$%ing disaster that man was, how dare he defile the office of the presidency, this is not the kind of man we want, character matters. Y'all were there, y'all heard it. Now we have Trump. And was does old man Jesus say now? "The Dems made it OK in '92, we're just playing by your rules."

Fair enough. But f#$%ing IS IT REALLY? What kind of man are you when your morals and values are so fragile and easily discarded? What does that say about our integrity when we do that, that we'll commit the same actions we found immoral and feel vindicated when doing so? I remember a party back in my drug years, at my best dudes house. Try looking at the discourse between leaders as a poker game. No one is exposing their hole cards.

Your opener highlights my point. How long have we talked? 6-8 years? How much we know about each other? How many DT conversations about DIY and YT and Netflix? All of my posts over those 6-8yrs about hating cable news, my distaste for media in general, and so many conversations centered around me not even having TV at all for the last seven years and how I'll never get it again, how do you ignore all that and still slap the divisive label of "CNN/MS watcher" onto me? We share so many common interests, values, and beliefs. Sure, I do stupid kid stuff and you do dumb old man stuff, and on those activities we'll never agree. But in all things that matter, we've always been as cool as ever. Yet now, you feel a need to separate yourself from me, and you do so by labeling me with a title that represents one of the things you dislike the most. WHY? Do you even know? I totally disagree. Face has been more than fair to Trump. He gave him more than a few chances to prove he could lead this country.

YOU have suspended any personal values or integrity you have in order to ignore the hundred violations of decency, decorum, rule of law, and basic social behavior Trump has made, the nearly 10,000 provable lies he has told the American public, and the extreme disloyalty he has shown to this country on numerous occasions.

Face has not. He looks at what has happened and decides for himself, and the jury has returned a verdict. I feel sure that if Trump had shown himself to be what he says he is, rather than the actions he's taken and the lies he's told to con people, Face would be supporting Trump.

I've said before, I've had a distaste for Trump for ever. If I had to put a date on it, I'd say roughly '92, give or take a couple. Even at the age of 8-12, I knew that adultery was wrong. My distaste was planted that long ago. I never had a taste for womanizing, even in the most hormonal of days. I generally view "playboys" as weak people. As you may have picked up from my constant disparagement of modern athletes juxtaposed to my constant championing of Barry Sanders types, I have a distaste for braggadocio. I think vanity is silly, I disagree with excessive wealth, I believe in the defense of those less able, I desire stoicism; all these beliefs have come from my life experiences, which wove the threads of the roots that made the foundation of my life. These are my beliefs, some of which extend all the way back to my first memories. Donald Trump happens to be the antithesis to many of them, and was so long before even The Apprentice. If any media is responsible for my hate, it would be the very paper that would cover up for him some 26 years later - The National Enquirer.

It's really that simple. And this is exactly the source of my consternation. It's regular ol integrity from a known friendly and you're confusing it for liberalist propaganda. You know I'm an ammosexual, an outdoorsman, a country boy who doesn't and won't accept a dime he don't earn. When I was in management the last 2 years or so I was that guy. Last year for sure. They could not keep managers. I was co-manager for about a month when we bought a company, the other guy quit. If I could have kept my mouth shut and obey I might have lasted longer. But I could not treat people and do business the way they wanted me to. In the end it was a learning experience of what corporate America will put up with.

I didn't know any of that then. Since then I have only made half-hearted attempts at getting back into management, though now I am mostly stopped completely. I would not mind being a mentor in a more official capacity, but that is about it. Used to get emails from my boss timestamped at 10 on a Sunday night and decided right then and there if they want me to take that job they had better have a pistol, then they would have a chance or a mess to clean up.

When you are young it all looks and sounds great. Eventually reality sets in. You see the dirty inside. You cannot make it without selling your soul. It made me a cynic. I am glad I saw what I saw and got the experience.

When you get clipped, and most people will sooner or later for one reason or another, you are in a weird place. Hard to step right back in as most places want young lions who lap it up. Eventually you end up in a job where they need someone who can work independent but there is no hope of moving up that ole ladder. My industry is filled with this type.

OTOH, it can make you a leader among your peers.

Sorry, you're not getting a pass on comparing Trump to a person someone doesn't like. His job history with the charity and Trump U is scumbaggery. His collusion on overcharging renters when his dad was still more of it. That doesn't mean there aren't people who are not liked, and do a good job but do nothing criminal. Trump's not one of them.
