Lol. Non-lawyers ought not publicize legal advice or opinion. (Someone might sue you?)

Someone can always sue me anyway, but rendering an interpretation of statute is not the same as "practicing law without a license." You can't possibly believe that licensed attorneys are the only group permitted to discuss the law.

Giving bad advice is now a form of legal negligence.

Not where there is no representation. If I tell you on this forum that you should sue your grocer for selling GMO foods, and you do and you lose, I'm not on the hook for that. If you *hired me* to give you the same advice, I would be.

Think about what that would mean otherwise. Everyone who has ever published their "winning gambling system" would be on the hook for giving bad advice and therefore legally negligent.

Wouldn't that be nice. If you could actually collect, you could go around free rolling them.

I'm wondering if you could actually win a case if you used someone's gambling system who promised you would make money?

I think it depends on what the deal was. If you paid money for a system and then lost money with it, you may have a fraud claim as long as you were truly duped -- that is, you weren't someone who knew that it was bunk in advance and was trying to freeroll. That happened just last month in Vegas:

I am posting here because it seems that every other threads about KJ has been closed and the Wizard will only allow any posting relating to KJ or the other forum in this thread.
I get that Boz may have ruffled some feathers with his comment "that Larry and Freddy may be right." If the W feels that he has suffered a personal insult then I understand the suspension. But for him to add "feel free to not come back" IMO was a bit much.
I am a relatively new poster here and I also belong to other sites. I read the posts from both and so far have not made any judgment because it seems that there are two sides to the stories. The consensus is that this site has seen a decline in it's traffic/visitors. What is the benefit of suspending posters at "the drop of a hat" or hinting that certain posters are not welcome back?
I joined this forum to learn about the different games, how to and the best way to play them, and maybe seek advises from the more knowledgeable posters. Unfortunately everything that I have read and gleaned so far have only led me to the conclusion: Tread lightly.

I did not think that Boz' post was that bad. He insinuated that some posters on the other forums could have been right, but unless the W have been reading their rants over there how would he know?

So after noting the remark two above, I went looking around a little for the ghost of Stalin. I must not have the right kind of special glasses needed to see it. I see multiple duplicative threads closed and redirected to the established one already existing for the purpose, and find that someone who is generally in a state of suspension involving some random highly lubricated outburst or another is suspended. And if there is something that wouldn't fit in the "today is Tuesday" file, I missed it, and the shadow of Uncle Joe seems pretty well hidden to my decrepit eyes. But maybe I just wasn't wanting to find the late Mr. Joe S. badly enough to start seeing him lurking about; perhaps the trick is to squint harder or something like that. Good luck to those who find him, and warn him for me that the Seafood Buffet at Rio isn't really worth it.

Hi WoV. kJ posted an email address. Have you reached out to him to compare the two sides of the story? I guess it's possible that both sides will just say the other is lying, or at least exaggerating.

kJ's posts have been surprisingly bitter, at least surprising to me, but he hasn't come off like a total nutjob. Unlike some others, cough, cough.
