Another brilliant cat photo by my photographer friend, Teresa Kaufman, in Chamonix, France.

Your cats are obviously dopes. Dopey cats make the best pets. I have a lot of idiots in my house.

When I looked at this picture the first time, it looked like the cat had a bouffant of hair coming out of its side. But on further examination, I see your wife.

If that was the case I would probably take him to the vet.

I see cat furniture in the background and a box for cat toys. That cat furniture is expensive and they probably mostly ignore it. Give them a cardboard box that's what they live for.

I wish my date to the prom looked as good as that orangutan. It was a setup I had no idea. My cousin's brainstorm

They use that cat tree every single day for sleeping and getting away from the dogs The top level of the tree is about 6 feet high so even the tall dog doesn't pay too much attention to them up there. . I think it was about $150. They do like to get in boxes but the dogs pay too much attention to them when they are in boxes.
Yes, I realize that our animals are very spoiled and that we spend a lot of money on them. The kids are grown so they don't cost us much anymore so we have to spend the money somewhere.
The cats just helping me do some work:

Last night there were six of us crammed in that bed. The dogs are not small.

The cats think that when you're in the bed..
Quote: EvenBobIt happened again, another June and somebody left a little kitten on my porch in a box. When people know you have a lot of cats they think oh he won't mind just one more. Here he is trying to destroy a new roll of paper towels which I had to punish him for severely. I kissed his belly six times. He'll think twice next time.

Thank you for taking in the kitties.

Quote: EvenBobIf you want to see your cats go crazy buy some of these catsprings. They are incredibly cheap I got 60 of them for $6 on Amazon. I throw a couple of them on the floor and it will entertain four cats for 20 minutes while they chase them around like idiots.

It's amazing how fast they lose them and you can't find them and then you come across them at the most unexpected times. That's why I buy them in packages of 60 because they disappear into the abyss.

I think that’s your best picture yet. It looks like they are following instructions…. ‘Look at the camera’
They all look so clean!

I agree completely. Of course, my wife would leave me.

Sadly, I am down to one wife now which I still like.
This actually makes me want to create an indoor dog park with slippery floors and ramps. I think you should add soft bumper sides for them to bounce off of.
Also, with all the sliding, you probably wouldn't ever have to clip the dog's nails.

DRich, Sorry or Congratulations, as appropriate.
EvenBob, two total is generally the practical limit. The amount of work expected of you seems to go up exponentially with the wife count.
(I know only one guy who managed to survive five on a time-share basis, but after about 10 months, he had to drop a few. He needed a day off to recover.)
Quote: WizardI have a question for the cat thread. We are catsitting my older daughter's kitten for four years. This kitten is fast, playful and energetic. When we tried to clip her nails we couldn't get her to sit still for the process and accomplished nothing. Any advice? We had the same problem with our own cat 20 years ago and simply gave up.

Watch a few cat nail clipping videos on YouTube. If you still can't do it and have money to burn take it to the vet or a groomer. Personally I don't clip any of my cats nails because I would be constantly healing scratches. So I have nothing they can ruin with their claws and I give them lots of cardboard boxes which they destroy. I also have a couple of scratching posts but some prefer the cardboard.

But DRich is a man of many wants and needs I don't see how one wife would ever be enough. I don't even live with my wife and it's almost too much sometimes. Some days I just want to be left completely alone and not bothered, good luck with that happening. I tried giving her another cat but the place where she lives now has so many rules about animals that it's just not worth it.
