How about Trump is a politician who blamed an opponent, Obama, for something that was not Obama's fault? Doesn't make him a racist. Doesn't make him cowardly. Just makes him a politician who made a statement that I believe is false, but really can never be proven false. So a 'safe' attack on a competitor. I can list a hundred or so similar statements about Trump from the Clown Car.
