I'd really like the Kentry implications to stop. I am not him and it's making me feel uncomfortable when I see those implications.

OD, Babs and you are all in public-facing jobs and I suspect that your employer has not given you much (or any) training in Equal Opportunity/Nondiscrimination issues and requirements. I have had a lot of training and experience in this area during my career and having heard your responses I believe you guys are simply less-than-perfectly aware of some definitions, requirements and things-to-avoid. Please understand that good-hearted, well-intentioned people can step over a "discrimination" line because they don't even know how the courts have defined that line -and because they are so zealous and caught up in doing their job that sometimes they are not sensitive to how their actions look to the "protected class" of people they are dealing with. Or how their actions look to spectators/observers.
No one wants to make a federal case of this rinky-dink matter. I don't even care if you guys remained convinced that you have never done anything that warrants criticism. What I did hope for was to make one or two of you more sensitive to certain diversity aspects of this situation as we go forward- and I already see signs that that may have happened. So, no need to disturb the peace further.
Note: Oh, I did take on board your comments about policies regarding posting lottery picks. I do agree that your initial compromise with Nathan was a good one because I have been enjoying Nathan's posts about lottery picks and am intrigued to see how she changes and grows (or not) over time. And, I offer four words to OD about moderation: Sometimes "less" is more. Or three words: Moderation in moderation.

I was concerned not to push the mischief too far as I never wanted to embarrass or defraud anyone.
There was a real point to the mischief. I wanted to eventually expose the 'wrong thinking' that ' we must not miss out or stop buying a ticket, because we'd kick ourselves if that was the day the numbers win' I reckon that wrong thinking is what ties a lot of players into an almost forced addiction.

I get the reasoning but I debate where the line is.

I will admit to not being race blind. I don't think any of us are, even blind people. I'm open to being shown how my words or actions are racially insensitive, but I still admit to no fault in this situation.

I flunked freshman algebra in my first semester of highschool and ended up in that same math class. Basically it covered the same material in 3 semesters instead of two. After that class, I got pretty good at math... Not wizard / crystal math good, but good enough... I managed to get through a couple of calculus classes in college and stats up to econometrics.
The other formula I can't forget is from highschool physics. We were rolling things down an inclined plane and calculating average acceleration with:
(g sin theta) / 1 - k.
Why I recall that formula from the hundreds we used in that class is beyond me.

My newly edited signature is only 4 lines. I cut the part about the Nathaniel/Nathan thing, the Slot Lover thing, the overly long thing about the edit button and made it only 8 words.
I have to agree with you in some way. Truthfully we probably break all kinds of laws every day, when the law is pointed at you, it only matters how much money you have to fight it off, and it takes a lot of money. I'd not have guessed marijuana was illegal in Jamaica with the Rastafarian thing either. It's cruel if such a place had laws where things were known to be frowned upon or the law looked the other way, then for an unknown reason, it looks at you.
