If anything I'm uncomplicating. I'm not going to start getting up at 9 a.m. just because the sun is going down earlier. I'm making the sun stay on my schedule. And even if I got up at 9 a.m. the sun would still go down at 5:10 p.m. in December. And the night will be just that much longer. You know who eats when they're hungry and doesn't look at the clock? Obese people. They feed their face whenever they're hungry, which seems to be most of the time. Controlling your weight means controlling calorie intake and how many times a day you eat. It's far better to eat only during a small window of time like 6 hours and eat nothing the rest of the time. Eating whenever you're hungry is a recipe for disaster. That's why you see so many fat kids now anytime they're hungry which seems to be all the time they stuff their fat little faces with cupboards full of tasty treats.

Name somebody in the western world that has constant access to every kind of food possible that does that. People snack and snack all day long. Women carry it in their purses, men have it in their desk drawers, people stop at fast food restaurants just for a fatty snack in between meals. When I was a kid the snack section in the grocery store was almost non-existent. Going to the grocery store today it's both sides of an entire long aisle. And that's not even candy, candy has its own aisle. That's the reason there's an obesity crisis and not only this country but in all Western countries, people don't know when to stop eating because they eat whenever they feel like it. Look how much they eat just watching TV. When I was a kid that was not allowed, no snacking of any kind was tolerated. We had nothing in the house to snack on anyway. And in my high school I don't remember any fat kids, except maybe one who was kind of pudgy. Go by a school bus stop now, it looks like the circus is in town.

That's the great thing about how we communicate now you don't have to ignore anybody. A text comes and you answer it no matter what time it is. As far as phone calls I can't remember the last time I got a phone call from somebody I knew. Who does that. Phone calls are so inconvenient and so time-wasting.

Forget about “dieting”, eating at specified times and counting grams of whatever on junk food labels. That’s unnatural, unhealthy and guaranteed failure.
Just use common sense. And eat when you’re hungry, don’t eat when you’re not

In a perfect world that would be true but that's not where we live. People who eat junk food every day don't consider it junk food they consider it real food. Somebody who eats at Burger King or McDonald's doesn't think they're getting junk food, they love it so to them it's as real as it gets. From the earliest age they are taught that as a treat they are going to Wendy's or Burger King or Taco Bell or McDonald's. That never leaves their head for the rest of their lives but if you want to feel good that's where you go. If you want to feel bad you eat brussel sprouts and a salad. I'll never forget years ago we had a friend of my wife's over for dinner and I made things like broiled salmon and stuffed mushrooms and a broccoli and cheese dish. She would eat none of it, she actually started crying when she saw the food. She hated fish, how did she know the mushrooms were not poisonous, and she didn't like any vegetable. That's when I learned that if you're going to have somebody over to dinner ask them what they eat first. She couldn't even eat it not to be rude, that's all screwed up her head was. And oh yeah she was about 50 lb overweight.

Not true at all. I eat fast food almost daily and know exactly what I am doing.
Do you think people that smoke are completely oblivious to the danger of cigarettes?

Way oversimplified to the point it’s no longer correct, you’re looking at the physical reactions and ignoring the physchological/mental health issue factor present more often than a significant factor in unhealthy eating habits. People still eat when there’s zero physical craving, that’s mental.

Sock stores have been around for a while. I don't know anything about their business model, but there are a lot of them out there, so apparently some of them do pretty good business. That would be an easy thing to sell online, too, so this sock store at your mall could very well be selling socks to people all over the country, or even world.

I doubt that I have bought socks in a store in 15 years. We get everything from Amazon.
Nyquil is a great product imo
it doesn't cure a cold - and I'm getting over a bad one - but it knocks it out for a couple of days
I take it before sleeping and I sleep really deep
wake up a little groggy - but feeling really relaxed because I slept so deep

Twiddling knobs on an old scope is almost universally entertaining.
Scope displays definitely attract a crowd, and you can't sell if nobody stops at your booth.

I set my phone on manual time so when the official Daylight Savings Time changes in November it won't affect my phone. I have a couple of weeks to get used to this change and then it will change again and I will be used to it by then. So for me today the sun will go down at 8 p.m. And the earliest it will go down will be on December 21st at 7:10 p.m. And from then on it will go up. When it gets to the point where the sun is going down for me at almost 9 p.m. I will turn my clocks back an hour so it's going down at 8 p.m. again. I will not be in sync with everybody else until next August. Having an extra 2 hours daylight in the evening in winter has got me really excited. God bless Benjamin Franklin daylight savings time was his original idea.

I have too many appointments, too many times sporting events I want to watch live, etc… to do what you did. I can just wake up an hour earlier or later, eat an hour earlier or later, without having to change a clock. But if it works for you, good for you!
