This is a one way ticket to prison. I don't know where you're getting your logic from.

You steal <$900 of something once, you might get away with it. You do that on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis, you WILL be prosecuted eventually.

Thats correct from what research I did.

The trick is the charges for theft can be aggregate.

So steal $900 of merchandise 12 separate times and you can be charged with grand larceny 3rd degree, theft of over $10,000.

The separation of dates for the crimes is not an issue under the law (NYS law but assuming similar practices elsewhere)

Jesus, did those cops just do like an eight ball of coke before going on duty or something?? WTF

EDIT: The family is suing the city for $10 million. The cops released the full video on their Facebook page and are supposedly investigating the incident.

Parents said they had no idea their kid stole the doll and drove to an apartment complex where police, without lights or sirens, rolled up behind them and started banging on their car window with guns drawn and threatening to shoot them. The four year old daughter is having nightmares and wetting the bed, and the baby suffered some kind of arm injury from a cop yanking on it.

I'm sure the cops involved are going to enjoy their administrative leave during the investigation paid vacation before being back on duty by the end of the month.

A good cop, and most cops are good cops, would calmly walk up to the family and say something like "We are investigating a minor incident and we need to talk to you"

Wow, the cop just swept that guys leg for no reason
These cops were so angry and furious, their attitude is akin to capturing a cop killer instead a kid stealing a 1 dollar Barbie
The over reaction is so over the top, I'm surprised they didn't radio for the SWAT team to help them out

Sorry for the interruption(this police brutality discussion is good stuff, it probably needs its own thread).

BBB (I assume it was you?) Why did you totally remove the LusciousSweet2/Poll thread asking about Nathan's return?

IMO you should have left it up and closed it. It just goes to show there is connection between them two since LusciousSweet2 seems to be oddly fascinated with Nathan, even more so than PokerGrinder.

I will never forget when they shot that poor young guy as he was crying begging for them not to shoot him while he was on his knees with his hands behind his head. That was Horrible. IIRC those guys got off no problem? It seem like we do need some AI running stuff.

It was me. Yours was the only response, and I agree thr thread and poll furthered the argument (the gist of your comment) that Luscious is related somehow to Nathan.

Given the circumstances, it appeared to be a trolling thread. I chose to delete it before it caused more trouble. LusciousSweet2 is being watched.

FWIW, banned forever was winning the poll.

I just looked at my Verizon bill for my landline for the previous billing period
for some reason they gave me a $400 credit
I don't know why and I don't want to call them because I think it might be a mistake and if I call them they might void the credit

did anybody else get a credit like this on a Verizon landline bill this month or any other month?
can somebody explain this to me? - I'm overcome with curiosity - I searched the bill online and there was no explanation

I know lots of people still have them, I was just busting your balls. My Mom is finally getting used to her cell phone. So much so that her landline phone is on the fritz and she has not bothered getting it fixed. I didnt know it was on the fritz and kept trying to call her with no answer over the course of a few days, as did my brother. I got worried and called one of her church members to go check on her. I was just thinking about the high five. Whenever a high five is initiated between a child or teenager and an adult, it is always the adult taking the initiative. I wouldn't be surprised that fewer than one hundredth of one percent of the time it is the child/teenager that initiates the occasion.

It is always the adult that seeks some kind of understanding, connection or relevance to youth, and the child/teenager that reluctantly goes along with it.

I agree. It's pretty bad to have the government too heavily invested in promoting a highly destructive vice/drug. Particularly the governments we have now, that are completely corrupt and have zero regard for the public interest or welfare.

Gambling should be legal, but discouraged, like smoking. No TV or radio ads, etc.

Lotteries are heavily advertised, particularly by news media which rarely discourage participation or encourage alternative forms of gambling. Some convenience stores would fail if there was no lottery traffic.

Yesterday a man was upset and yelling at his wife. Upon seeing me observing them he said to me "There's no common sense in the world anymore". My response was that there never was but she is beautiful and nice. I think he had just driven his wife and kid to an ATM and she had left the card home or perhaps it was a shopping list that she had failed to bring with her. No violence involved but it sure seemed a trivial event to prompt his exasperated tirade.

I just got mad and yelled at my computer because I couldn't find something on Google.

It was stupid. People get mad for stupid reasons. What's wrong with us.... haha...
