Delegating is definitely one of my weaknesses. It's hard to do when I know I can do everything the best. Anyways, this new office I am not delegating anything. It's not all that complicated and my current set of employees doesnt have the skillset to make decisions such as internet and phone.

I believe the reason many business's fail is because the boss won't be a boss, and scour out more business for the company. I found myself putting in 16-18 hour days while my partners were having a joyful life. If you aren't growing, your dying. imo
Somebody needs to be the boss, if you don't want to do it, you should just work for someone else who will recognize your talents and save yourself the headaches.
Now the bag requirement is 35 pounds. It was more, but that was unfair because Santa might need to carry her purse.
All requirements involving navigation have been dropped but that's ok. Everyone gets the same gift now that the oppressive weight requirements are gone: a gender neutral pair of socks.
When I opened my first business, I had no plan, just a bunch of old stuff to sell and a cheap place to sell them. Made every mistake possible, most of them two or three times and was drowning in debt when I found someone to buy the store, take over my debts and let me walk away with a few bucks. It was sad as the new buyer literally pulled out a wad of cash and started to count out all the leftover bills. The stack of 100 $100s dwindled rapidly and sadly ended at just 22.
It was easier and cheaper to start a new business fresh than to rehab the old one. While I avoided many of the issues I had in the first shop, I managed to discover a whole new universe of problems. I quickly discovered that hiring someone to do the job right cost less , in the end, then attempting something not in ones comfort zone. In an ironic twist, about a year later the guy I sold the store to offered me a job managing it. I tried to explain how dumb an idea it was but he was desperate. It ended up closing down soon afterward.

I do agree with you and flea about delegating but I only hired 3 people. None of them have a skillset to relocate a business so delegating doesnt make sense. However I have delegated some of my work so that I can handle this move.

I'm not much of a drinker, either, but I like Wild Turkey Rare Breed bourbon. It got a 93 rating from the beverage institute and won the 2008 spirits competition. 43.99 for 750ml at Total Wine (idk if you have those). Not much I will drink neat, but this is good.
Wild Turkey has Wild Turkey and Wild Turkey 101 below this quality, and Decades way above it (price point)

I don't know. Is it a stereotype that women like men to buy them the most expensive rocks and metals, or is it just a basic fact of human existence? Is it a stereotype that the LV club model is based on women getting a thrill out of men lighting money on fire to impress them, or are there tons of clubs around the world making millions because of it?
Stereotypes or not, those things are true.
Probably goes back to cave man times, when a woman's main job was to tend to the home and the man's main job was to go out and acquire resources and bring them back home. The more he brings, the better. Some combo of him being good at acquiring them, and caring enough to work harder. And even if there was too much dinosaur meat, it was better than not enough, and it made you feel safe and secure having an excess and not having to worry about it.
For more information, consult your local library. This is one of my favorite books. Explains a lot of human behavior.
Yeah, sometimes it seems like they give out condiments like the extra ketchup packets are coming out of their paycheck. Although, I get the opposite sometimes as well. These days, I'll usually specify the number of packets I want. Most of the time this works, but sometimes not. I went to McD's the other day and requested 5 ketchup packets. They gave me a handful (8-9).Quote: AcesAndEightsI seem to have the opposite experience. I never get enough ketchup when I ask for it.
Maybe buy him a kit to make himself a nice, autumnal mead. I don't like Bud Light, but I think I'm interested in trying this.Quote: GWAEMy brother in law is 25. Either this or buy him some baijiu. It's cheap Chinese liquor, they say taste foul. Your Christmas gift to him could be the alcohol that cured his alcoholism.
Matthew McConnaughey is advertising WIld Turkey LongBranch bourbon. Maybe that's good.

I once got into a screaming match with a Chik-Fil-A employee over a ranch dressing packet. Usually the employees at Chik- Fil-A are really nice, but this one was run by Aramark for a college dining hall. Aramark employees are some of the most miserable people I’ve ever seen.
She had a thick Eastern European accent and kept yelling and calling me “little man” over some god damn ranch dressing.
Fast food employees are treated badly and abused in order to stand firm against giving precious pennies away to loyal customers. It's totally bonkers how McDonald's is so zealous over nugget sauces. When I have to ask three times for more napkins or ketchup, I just about never want to go back to these places. After a long, long time up to years later, I'll remember not wanting to go back, but not remember the reason. It's like trauma you don't want to relive. I sat in the McDonald's dining room eating chicken wings and heard the female manager berating the employees against selling cheese burgers without cheese(because cheese burgers were 10c cheaper). I didn't want to be at a McDonald's for what seems like 5-10 years after that, I just refused to eat there.Quote: gamerfreakI once got into a screaming match with a Chik-Fil-A employee over a ranch dressing packet. McDonald's has a disclaimer now stating the value meals are not necessarily the best price, the value meals ignore promotions, and prices are not reflected lower anymore. I got 2 filet of fish, a medium fry and drink for $11.38 Their $6 meal got you a sandwich, small fry, small drink, and a pie, getting two was obviously a better price. I didn't see it before I ordered because I looked everywhere to double check, but right in front of me on the counter. I was pretty angry to make that stupid mistake.
I will say the new fresh beef made to order is a hell of a lot better than it used to be, but it still doesn't get anywhere near In and Out, which is also cheaper.
My tip for cheapo breakfast eaters is get the $1 sausage and cheese muffin. AFAIK the only difference between it and the full sandwich is the egg which makes the full sandwich about $4. I'm too cheap to pay $3 for one egg.
Quote: HullabalooI can still remember TV commercials when they said you could buy a meal and still have change from a buck. Now you're lucky to get out for less than $8.
When I eat fast food I always buy off of the $1 menu. I usually end up with two sandwiches and a drink for $3.

It used to be two burgers, fries and a soda for under $1. That was in 1972 or so. Today, ordering from the $1-$2-$3 menu, you get two burgers, fries and a drink for $4.
While I'm sure the size of the food has shrunk, the drinks are bigger than ever.
If you use their app, you get free fries with any purchase so its $3 plus tax. The twenty cent comic I would often buy with my lunch money now cost $3.99.

Pretty much all my fast food eatin is at In N Out or Chik fil A now. I only eat at McDonalds if there is nothing else in the area, or I'm in a hurry.

Does waiting in line make the food taste better? Every time I pass either of those places, the line is extraordinarily long.

I usually go during off-peak hours so I haven't seen a line in a hwile. Customer service at both locations is top notch as well, which is a big plus.

It's not a laugh out loud comedy, but more of an examination of the absurd. I didn't care for the trailer, at all.

I hate to be that person who says "remember when bread was $0.05" Well I can remember going to the gas station and buying tops baseball cards for $0.25. My son was asking for baseball cards. We were in target and the cards were something like 5.99 a pack.
Quote: billryan1968/69 were my buying baseball cards years. One Sunday ,one of my Irish Uncles sent me to the bakery for a cake, and told me to use the change on baseball cards. The cake was $2 and change. I think the packs were less than a dime. I just remember the bag was huge, like a double grocery bag. I put together a 1969 set a few years ago, without all the variant colors that are emerging.
Reggie Jackson rookie card is in that set. Books for around $15,000 in good condition

No, it does not. By the way, in the collectibles world ,the term good actually means pretty bad.
Poor-Fair--Good-Very Good- Fine-Very Fine- Near Mint -Mint. is a typical grading scale.
A 1969 Jackson in Good is a sub $100 card. One in Minty Mint Plus might go into the thousands. My RJ is a graded 7.
A few of the variant color cards are insanely priced. I have a few, all bought as normal cards before people started chasing them.
