Placed an internet order at 615. The site said 35-40 minutes, so when it gets to be 7 pm I get anxious.
Another ten minutes passes and it finally arrived. Driver apologized and gave me a certificate for a free pizza.
While I prefer they get my order right, it's nice to see a company preemptively taking responsibility for its errors.
Quote: GWAEI wanted to put an update to this. I went on Friday and intended to appologize. She had called off on the Friday. I was in the office yesterday and figured that I could as well. The office manager told me that she fired her on Monday because she told a patient, "you're here just in time, you definitely need to see the plastic surgeon." Owell I will just move on with life.
Wow! Glad you didn't have to take the high road and apologize for your reaction! Not like she learned anything anyway from upsetting you! You gave her a clear as day warning about professional behavior, and she didn't listen!
And I'm disappointed with the amount of the forum that wasn't on your side from the start. I have mild cerebral palsy, and I can actually count the amount of people that insulted me on one hand in 38 years. I've honestly gave myself more crap over it than anyone else has.
But why should it be non-taboo for baldness insults? It's not an uncommon issue.
Quote: GWAEI dont have anything to compare it too. I just found out one thing that kinda annoys me though. There are tons of options to watch. We were pretty excited for a short time and thought it would definitely replace TV. You can add things to a favorites list and it tell you when there is a new episode so it works pretty much like a DVR. Howeverrrrrr.. We were adding our shows to the list and I realized that I was missing seal team, then criminal minds, FBI, and a few others. I did a search and found out to get a few shows you have to subscribe to their live TV for $40 a month. Those shows can just be watched on an antenna but we rely on DVR right now because we generally only watch TV when the kids go to bed and we are relaxing for the evening. With those being on the expensive plan I would have to figure out a convenient way to watch them.
Just get an Amazon fire stick. I think they're like $35 from bestbuy. You have to first register an Amazon account to be able to use it but don't actually have to purchase anything. Then YouTube how to install kodi on a fire stick and follow the instructions. Then YouTube how to install exodus on kodi and follow the instructions. One time purchase and you get every TV show and every movie (maybe not something really obscure) and can watch anything at anytime.

I have that on my laptop but it is sometimes a pain in the ass. I have never used it for tv shows though. Maybe it works better with tv shows.
Do these people really want to go to the media because something one person says. What do they get out of it, it's not like it's company policy, and for all we know he set them up and told them his name was chang just to deny it later. My Chinese name is Ping Pong, one of you guys report me to yahoo and maybe wizard will get you free beer.

SORRY.

Each was a lawsuit against MGM.
The Nation Harbor electrocuted girl is nowhere near trial.
It was the MGM Mandalay Bay falling sign suit wherein MGM 0ffered 2.5 million dollars but jury awarded ony $524,000.00.
Quote: GWAEhas anyone used any business voip services? We are relocating our business to a larger space and I figured this would be a good opportunity to look at other phones. I am looking at Nextiva. Very interesting business where you only get 1 phone number but every phone that you have can be used at the same time. I have never used any services like that so I am not sure how well they work.
Isn't your business only a few months old? Expanding?

In business months are years. Especially at the beginning. You should know that with the dozens you have owned.

Yes,and I've never needed to move a few months in. Hopefully business is booming way beyond expectations.

We are doing better than expected but a move in the first year was to be expected. When we started we leased a space that was a time share medical suite. We had the back three offices and doctors used the rest. We did this to keep costs down at the start. We pay 900 including all utilities but we only have 3 offices and about 400 sq ft. We actually have been fortunate because no doctors have been sharing the space because there are 4 of us and we have been using space that isn't ours. Jan 1 a doctor is sharing and our idiot landlord gave the new doc one of our offices. Since he did that we gave notice and are leaving.
I found a space that I can ride my bike to. It's under a mile from home. It is 1250 sq ft with 7 offices, conference room, and a kitchen all brand new for $1500 including utilities.

That price sounds absurdly low, but I'm used to rent/property values in Boston.

I agree, I spent more than that ten years ago for two offices and a conference room.
Best of luck with the move. Hope it goes smoothly.

When I had mentioned the business starting about a year ago I mentioned I was having trouble finding an assistant. I think I mentioned paying $16 an hour and a bunch of people on here said you cant hire anyone good that low and suggested upping it to 25 or something. I laughed and said for 25 around here you are going to be the highest paid person in your family.
This rent price shows you how inexpensive Pittsburgh is. We are not only paying 1600 a month for a 1200 foot office space in an office building but it includes utilities, maintenance, weekly cleaning, and daily trash removal. The landlord is also renovating the entire office space by changing a few walls around to reconfigure the space, all new paint, and new carpet. All at no cost to us. I will take pictures and post when the work is done in hopefully 10 days.

Private home hosting one of its many gambling nights, chips scattered over the scene would indicate to me it was probably a cash robbery gone bad but obviously may have been a cheating dispute. victim was homeowner, shooter was 37 year old 'guest'.
It was a card game being played in the backyard of the home that frequently hosts such events. Victim dealt a card that hit the intended recipient instead of hitting the table in front of him. Player became enraged at someone throwing cards at him, drew a pistol and fired at close range. Other players restrained him, some sat on him until police arrived. Shooter claimed victim had reached for a bottle, but all witnesses denied it. Shooter arrested at scene, charged with second degree murder after victim died at hospital.Quote: beachbumbabsGuy killed in Orlando tonight over cards or dominoes . Investigation continues.
Cooling pump failed. Captain noticed a high temperature alarm but let the engine idle instead of immediately shutting it off, thus allowing temperature to rise. When fire broke out a piece of the fuel line that should never have been installed because it was plastic melted thus causing fuel to feed the fire. Captain and crew improperly trained and rarely drilled. Captains attempt to reverse so as to unclog any obstruction in the cooling system wasted precious time and caused continued temperatue increase.
Woefully improper maintenance and training. Two prior overheating problems ignored.

Frankly, I can't think of a more stupid, senseless reason for dying than a misdealt card. 62 year old dealer, who knows if it was windy or something. Hot headed punk kid??? He was 37 years old!!
Used a coupon - breakfast for two for $5 and ordered two coffees. Asked for mine to be very very light. Was told they serve it black and I add my own milk, so I asked for extra.
We pull over to eat and in a separate bag is 31 small creamers, 12 packets of sugar and four sweet and low.
I don't know what margins they work on, but I suspect most of the profit was eaten up by these wasted condiments. Even at a penny each, these account for
forty seven cents on a $5 sale.

I always wonder the same. I ask for extra ketchup and was given like 25 packets. It was literally 2 hand fuls.

About ten years ago, my friend and his sons bought a Quiznos. They had to buy all the condiments and supplies- cups, napkins, etc and were mandated to put so many napkins per sandwich in a bag. They ended up shutting down as the cost of these things ate up their profits. A Quiznos napkin cost him about 7x that of a generic and Quizno cups were 5X that of a red cup. He said the cup costs more than the contents. They were involved in a suit against the parent company over this, but settled out of court. He gave his sons their investment back, even though it was their idea. He still raves about the taste and quality of the food.
He said the cost of using company supplies is what caused most Quiznos to close.
There is always some crazy A-hole who has excessive or unreasonable expectations and will piss and moan if they aren't met. However, they don't walk around with a shirt that says, "I'm a crazy A-hole," so you just have to assume that everyone is like that. Especially when they say they want something "very" this way, or they want "a lot of" this or they make overly specific requests, such as asking their meat to be cooked to some imaginary level like "between medium and medium rare+."
A lot of people like getting excessive amounts of stuff. It's hard to explain, exactly. They take it as a demonstration of the fact that you want to please them. It's a largely feminine mentality. Like, if you've ever seen a movie where the guy in the doghouse buys like $10,000 worth of flowers and fills her apartment with them. It's a small scale version of that.
I've done some food delivery and I'd read comments people made about the service on facebook, and they'd say things like, "I love when I get lots of extra napkins and condiments," even though they probably had those things in their home and even though a lot of it probably winds up in the trash.
From what I read you can just hook up a router to the ont but my VoIP person says that I would need a converter like this.

What is going to happen to Mrs. Claus? I don't think it's fair she supported her husband for so long, and these people are going to tie him down and neuter him. Then she has to just go through with the marriage and pretend she is a lesbian. ;)Quote: MaxPenThese people really need to invent their own traditions instead of trying to wreck ones that already exist.
