Quote: MaxPenQuote: darkozQuote: MaxPenI think that's what Kim Jong Un tells himself. 😀
Thats your example?
Might as well agree I am right.
There is a whole nation of people that currently fear Kim and based on the news of his weapons testing and presidents unsure how to handle him I would hardly call him a powerless and unfeared person.
Kim can rightfully call himself the most feared leader in the East
Whatever you have to tell yourself. Also, giving you some goals to work towards. If you ran your regime like he does you probably wouldn't have gotten robbed.
Kim can rightfully lay claim to Most Joked about leader in the East as well.
Umm, that was my point two posts ago. More power means more ridicule.
Thanks.
P.S. I just am not evil or unscrupulous enough to get into violent behavior. Yeah maybe I wouldn't have gotten robbed or maybe I would have been robbed anyway but the thieves would be wearing cement shoes.
As I am sure we will learn at the Mob museum being feared may lessen your victimization but nothing can eliminate it.
Even Presidents can be assassinated. There is no one powerful enough to be immune to all shenanigans
4 days totally comped Thursday-Sunday
$100 shopping and $75 freeplay.
Never stood at an MGM casino in Vegas so I am excited

I have never stayed there but I here that their check in line can get like 2 hours long. They have a mobile check in option and a kiosk I believe so I would do that.

haha whats wrong with that. Not like I cant change things if need be. Between 2 kids being in 2 sports, working on the house, running a business, and 3 vacations I feel like I need to have it planned or I will get behind on things.

I have plans and schedules for the next year and a half that are about 80% in stone
Its fluid enough I can and often do make changes.
In the world of film production its common to schedule far in advance so my training just comes into play

Ok thx
My flight arrives about 8pm on that Thursday so hopefully lines arent too long

I don't disagree :-(

Quote: GWAEwe have rsactuary on the hike list but no where else. rsa, if you see this are you planning on joining us?
I'm not really interested in meeting up for dinner or anything like that.... but I'd do a hike if people were interested.

I'll lead a hike, even if just one person is interested, which is one more than usual.
Quote: speedycrapI wonder what kind of hike you are talking about please? Length of hike in distance? Length of time? Difficulty level? Approximate location? Gear? What stuff to bring along?
I think they plan on doing the hike immediately after a mcnuggets challenge

I'd like info on this as well please. I would call myself a beginner, without specialty equipment... but having said that I did a 13 mile hike up a mountain in Alaska last year.....
I'm probably more concerned about the heat than anything else.

Early May isn't usually too bad in Las Vegas. Temperatures range from mid 80's to low 90's in the city.
Quote: AxelWolfScrew a hike, let's do dune buggies.
now that's something I am for
I'm down for a hike, but to be fair I'm not exactly a morning person so I'd prefer it not be "let's be on the trail by 9am!" More like noon sounds great to me.Quote: WizardI'll lead a hike, even if just one person is interested, which is one more than usual.
I'd be down for that too.Quote: AxelWolfScrew a hike, let's do dune buggies.
I'll be arriving probably Friday through like Monday, so not sure when the hikes/etc would take place outside of Saturday.
I think there would be many people that would enjoy this. I can think of 10 off the top of my head. I have yet to try it but have have been talking about getting a group together and doing it.Quote: RomesI'm down for a hike, but to be fair I'm not exactly a morning person so I'd prefer it not be "let's be on the trail by 9am!" Weekend of May 11th was the agreed upon, right? Just want to double check before booking everything.
I have no idea what it costs. I do know there's some cheap/frugal guys that attend the SF event.
Perhaps we can get Nathan to fund it.

Buggies are about 300 a person
I don't think I have ever used the word's love and hiking in the same sentence till now.Quote: GWAEWhat ya talking about? Buggies or hiking?

Seems like a great ride for a good Burger and Beer.
Quote: WizardAs to the hike, I've never had to make a decision before, because nobody has wanted to go. I'm open to group suggestions on length and difficulty. However, if there is no group consensus, I suggest Kraft Mountain. It is about six miles round trip, offers light bouldering, and great views of Vegas.
We were able to rally a group at one of the meetups, but sadly it was the time that your father had just passed away. But it was a good hike with myself, rudeboyoi, one of his buddies, and another forum member I don't recall the name of...was a good time. I wish I could remember what route we did.

I'd be up for that.

I'll ask him, but it might have been Kraft Mountain. I've done it with him and know he likes it. Do recall a red sand desert?
Quote: billryanI haven't done much hiking, but the old railroad trail out by the dam takes you through multiple tunnels on the way to the lake. The tunnels also work as cooling stations.
That makes for a great, but short, bike ride.
WOW, I didnt know they had dune buggies on kraft mountain!Quote: happaheroI vote kraft mountain

AX, what color pantyhose will you be wearing to the spring fling?
Quote: happaheroI vote kraft mountain
Please tell them it's a very fun fairly short hike.
Regardless of what we do, can I pencil it in for Sunday? Maybe lunch after. Normally I'd suggest the Red Rock, but it will be Mother's Day and the restaurants crazy. There is a new beer & pizza place in Blue Diamond I like that I think the mother's day crowd won't know about.

Is this a trick question? There was definitely red sand...
Also, there was a place called "the beach" that is apparently a popular party spot for the youths.

I'm up for this. I'll be a sweaty mess for lunch, but oh well. lol

It was definitely Kraft Mountain that he did then. There is a place on the way with red sand that ... some people like to camp out at and party.
I'm up for Sunday pizza.
Quote: billryanDoesn't that trail have sections that require some boulder climbing?
Yep.
Well it is a Bring Your Own Mask event isn't it? Why? Are you interested in me that way, or do you just want to borrow them? My guess is both.Quote: WatchMeWinAX, what color pantyhose will you be wearing to the spring fling?
Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't swing that way. I can probably hook you up tho.
p.s. I have no clue about guys, but I noticed that chicks don't wear pantyhose much anymore. Anyone else notice that?
Do they allow small motor bikes?Quote: WizardYep.

I thought we already agreed on pizza for lunch on Saturday at the downtown Pizza Rock.

So now that its openly known where we are having lunch is there a fear of casino execs checking us all out
A bunch of AP's all having lunch together announced openly on this forum must have a few members sweating coins
Naturally I have nothing to fear as I have masks I can wear

Lunch will only be about 8 -10 people and probably none of the aps. Dinner is a double super secret place.
