JJ has definitely "inspired" a lot of off topic posting here, and there has been a stronger administration stance on off topic posts in the last week or so.
Something I think we all should remind ourselves is that our gracious host is a public figure whose passion and career are tied to the subject of this forum. Wiz is well known throughout the industry, and as such, WoV is on the radar of his peers, potential clients, and potential employers.
Wiz strikes me as somewhat of a perfectionist and one who deeply cares about decorum. His tireless work on deconstructing slots, breaking down new games and/or new side bets, and constantly re-updating his content shows that. This forum is a big part of putting his work out there.
Imagine, then, that it was taken and used for nonsense. Imagine you had a potential client, and when they dug to find out more about you, they found some of the stuff that's happened here. It's kind of like a FaceBook of which he has only partial control. A dangerous thing.
Hopefully we can remember this going forward. Wiz invited us into his virtual home. Let's do our part to keep it tidy.

Guys, take a hint here. Read between the lines a bit. There is probably a very good reason that the Wizard is taking his time to pick his words carefully. And probably also a very good reason that Mission deleted that thread. Speculation may not be a great idea here. I am just as curious as anyone else, and I have my own theories, but I think that waiting to see what the Wizard says is a good idea.

I would simply because everyone is going to have the answer to the question (including me) when Wizard posts later today. I should mention that I don't have a personal problem with the speculation, per se, other than the inherent pointlessness of it due to the fact that we will know the reason fairly shortly. However, given the fact that the speculation is inherently pointless, I saw no reason that speculation as to something pertaining to a Suspension warranted its own thread.

I have no idea what the full terms of that long ago truce were, but the post cited as a violation sounds like a sincere attempt to defend what may have been an opposing party in the truce. I suppose the violation must have been the indirect alluding to an alleged PM comment by Nareed a year and a half ago in order to refute AxelWolf's erroneous allegation that HB had made just such a PM comment. It does get tricky when trying to defend one party creates a risk of offending another.

+1. Obviously there are rules to be respected in the Wizard's house. Take off your shoes. Address the wife as Mrs. Wizard. Don't pee in the pool. The Wizard and his team of admins can ban anyone for any reason, and we have the choice to respect that, or hit the road.

He also went by egalite who was banned and then he resigned. Yet on the same day of banishment he registered himself as RolexWatch.
This is his usual MO. When he has nasty draw downs (assuming he even plays) he goes online and go on his usual rant. It goes on and on and never stops!

On October 26, 2011, Statman was nuked for reasons of events that happened outside of the forum. I don’t think anybody missed him and nobody ever asked for details. On February 18, 2014, I invoked this option a second time against on JuicieJennie (JJ). Letting it go unnoticed is not a luxury I have this time.
Yesterday JuicieJennie was in town and I was on the Strip too with both a lunch and dinner appointment. With time to kill, I agreed to meet her in between my appointments to play some blackjack. She was uncomfortable with the ratio of her bankroll to the table minimum and generally singing the blues about money. As an advocate of playing within one's means, I made a deal with her regarding splitting any win or loss. Given that she has written that she likes blackjack and accepts “chippies” from her male playing companions, I probably should have been on guard for what happened next.
Suffice it to say, this turned into a huge misunderstanding and an enormous argument ensued over how much was won/lost and how it should be shared. Both parties got very angry and it ended up with her being banned from the site in the heat of the moment. Hours after the blow up she offered via text to return the money that I felt was unfairly paid to her, while admitting no fault, in the interests of making peace.
I think we could both agree that it was unfortunate that things ended so badly over a dispute of about $40. However, in my "Great Leap Forward" plan, I think the forum would be a better place without JJ. Thus, the nuclear option, which was invoked in the heat of anger, will remain. Let the record show that JJ leaves the forum under protest and that I make no public accusations against her character.
