El Cortez has or had an ATM promotion where they geve you back 5% of your atm withdrawl in free play, maximum amount $50 per month ($1000 ATM withdrawl).

No requirement that you had to play any amount or anything, just a flat 5% of ATM withdrawl from their machine. Now their ATM did have a $3.50 charge, but I was willing to eat that. :)

I have actually taken a little break from playing and haven't even been downtown in the last month, so I can't say for sure that this promo is still going.

Yes, you would want to go ahead and pay THAT ATM fee...lol

In Mexico you can withdraw money from most debit cards at Wal Mart, if you pay for any purchase with one. Not large amounts, but it's without any fees. I think some sotres offer this kind of service in the US, too, called "cash back" or something along that line.

Yes, virtually every US Wal-Mart will allow you to get up to $100 cash back as well as many grocery stores. But these options are often inconvenient from strip and downtown casinos, unfortunately. And if I was grinding quarter FPDW like djatc is, I am sadly probably going to multiple cashiers to buy candy bars or Tic Tacs, etc.

Nice hit djatc! Tired of trying to grind VP yet? lol (I'm not sure I could do it.)

Virtually every US Walgreens allows cash back from debit cards as well. I haven't tried it, but I wonder if that's possible at their strip and downtown locations.

Probably, but Walgreens cashback cap is usually $20 or $40, iirc, so it's even more of a pain if you need a lot of cash. Hell, the strip locations might even forbid it since it could be abused and then cashiers will be debit heavy and cash poor. But I really dunno since I haven't tried myself in Vegas either.

It's been a fun ride, and I'm used to grinding the same thing over and over (I used to play tons of video games, RPGS mostly) so it's all good. Also the fact I get paid for it beats playing the auction house on WOW.

I tried casino credit but the problem is I don't have steady employment and got denied once so I figured I needed a job. My income comes from many places and it would make things more difficult then it is.

Going back to grinding VP, as long as I know the bankroll requirements for a low ROR, and am comfortable with the game I'm playing where I check strategy only 1 out of 500-1000 hands I am sure the royal is on the way without getting too depressed. It does suck to be down an amount of the royal when you're waiting. If you can handle variance and trust the numbers you'll be a great gambler.

This one cost me way too much... Probably spent $1000 trying to hit it, so it's a wash. Still it was a throwaway royal, which was pleasantly surprising.

Almost sequential too. Wow. I really don't ever expect to get a throwaway royal. It's over 5 times as rare as a dealt Royal.

So you have not only got a dealt royal, now you have also gotten a re-drawn royal?
Quite a lucky guy.

I thought the chances of being dealt a royal increase after the initial five dealt cards are discarded?
