Introduction

On Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 the highly - talented veteran wide receiver of the Miami Dolphins, Tyreek Hill, publicly announced that he is presently planning on retiring from playing in the National Football League once his current NFL contract with the Miami Dolphins expires. Then Hill claims that he will be on to something else at that point.

Tyreek Hill’s Current NFL Contract with the Miami Dolphins

Tyreek was previously traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins back in March of 2022, and then Hill immediately signed a fresh 4 - year contract extension worth up to approximately $120 million. That deal made Tyreek the highest - paid wide receiver in the National Football League at that time in regards to a wide out’s average annual salary.

Hill’s current contract with the Miami Dolphins includes a $25.5 million signing bonus, $72.2 million in total guaranteed money, and Tyreek is scheduled to earn an average annual salary of $30 million per NFL season from 2023 to 2026. He will become an unrestricted free agent once again in 2027, but that is when Hill is now saying that he will retire from playing pro ball.

Tyreek was paid $52.54 million of guaranteed money at the time of him signing his current contract (signing bonus + 2022 salary + 2023 salary + 2023 roster bonus). His present deal with the Miami Dolphins also includes the following incentives and / or bonuses:

  • 2023 Roster Bonus: $10 Million (guaranteed, due 3 / 19 / 2023, converted to signing bonus)
  • 2024 Salary Fully Guarantees on 3 / 19 / 2023
  • 2025 Roster Bonus: $1 Million
  • 2026 Roster Bonus: $1 Million
  • NFL Pro Bowl Selection: $250,000 (Hill earned this during the 2022 - 2023 NFL season)

The 2022 - 2023 NFL Season for Tyreek Hill

During the last NFL season, Tyreek Hill eventually finished the year in 2nd - place in the entire National Football League with a total of 119 - receptions which was good for 1,710 - receiving yards for the Miami Dolphins in 2022 - 2023. He also managed to earn his 4th - NFL All - Pro selection as well as his 7th - NFL Pro Bowl honor. Hill pulled down 7 - touchdown passes last season which gives Tyreek a total of 63 - touchdown receptions over the course of his spectacular 7 - year career in the National Football League.

I just been working that, talking to different sponsors."

Tyreek also did indeed have a strong message for all of the fans of his former team in the Kansas City Chiefs (who are absolutely on the 2023 - 2024 NFL schedule for the Miami Dolphins).

"Chiefs Kingdom, when the Miami Dolphins come to Arrowhead Stadium this year, guess what we gonna do?" Hill emotionally expressed. "Guess what we gonna do? I hate to say it, man. I hate to throw up the peace sign against y'all. I hate to do it! But guess what? I'm gonna be y'all worst enemy that day. I'm gonna be y'all worst enemy that day."
