Here are things that most people don't know about me. I love Rock and Heavy Metal music. I love Welcome To The Jungle and Paradise City by Guns N Roses, Violet and Celebrity Skin by Hole, Enter Sandman by Metallica, Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, BYOB by System Of A Down, Back In Black by AC/DC, Bad Reputation by Joan Jett. :D People are shocked at my preferences, saying stuff like,"You seem so demure to be into stuff like that." ;)

Changing your Username is definitely not allowed. That's why you are warned that a Username is permanent at Sign Up. I remember a poster pointing out that he made a impulsive decision to put his real name as a Username and soon regretted it as he is an employee at a Casino and realized using his real name wasn't the best decision. He was told the Username was permanent.

I'm a woman, who happens to like the name Nathaniel, so I went with the name Nathan as a nickname of Nathaniel. :) If I were smarter, I would have just went with the name Nathaniel instead. ;)
Someone mentioned about bars scamming people in Vegas and I mentioned Family Matters episode where Eddie and Waldo got scammed at a bar that had beautiful women in it and the owner claimed that The Bulls Basketball Team were coming. He claimed the alcoholic drinks were free. They drink the alcohol. About an hour later, there are no Bulls. Waldo finally realizes that the Bulls were never coming and it was all a scam. Eddie agrees and they attempt to leave but the owner claims they owe $200 for the drinks. They don't have $200 to pay for the drinks as they were told the drinks were free. Waldo is allowed to leave to get money from Carl, Eddie's Dad. I didn't want to hijack the thread by asking this question I wanted to ask.
What's to stop Eddie and Waldo from saying,"Yeah, we don't have $200 to pay for the drinks as you told us they were free," and leaving? I mean, they clearly wouldn't have drunk the drinks if they weren't told they were free. Technically, I guess the owner could have called police or something, but then the owner would be liable for Deception or something like that. I think most people in Eddie and Waldo's position would have just told them off and ran for the door.

The red herring is not about the color, it's about the stench. It's a tool used by a villain in the first person, or an author in the third, to throw suspicion onto another person and away from the truth.
Is this meant to be another metaphorical story?
