You would love horse racing Nathan. The bets are similar to what you are doing with lottery and the minimums are low.

Cash 3 was 490, pick 2 was 88, pick 4 was 7923. I would have lost both last night's drawings and today's afternoon drawings is I had went with my numbers. My numbers for the afternoon drawing was going to be 800 cash 3 box and 47 pick 2 box. My prediction for tonight drawings is 48 pick 2, 49 pick 2, 800 box(In fact, play 800 box for two weeks if you can afford it. :) I have a good feeling about 800 coming up soon. :) 88 or 84 front pair Pick 4. :)

Surely an assumption. Nathan might be richer than Cresus... and Zenking ...and me, but maybe she just likes to work to allay the boredom.

You won't be saying that when Nathan scoops up a lottery jackpot, buys up the forum and bans you and me.
:o)
Actually, it would be amusing if the great gods of variance gave Nathan an extreme run of good luck.
Meanwhile, I don't know how these lotto picks work in your country, but aren't they the ultimate bad wager with house edge of the order of 50%?

Nathan, are you hoping for a chance to tweak the noses of all those silly old advantage players and mathematicians?
Good luck with that.

I believe it was an assumption. I believe Nathan may be richer than Zenking and me put together. Bit of a longshot, but what's the saying 'When you assume, you make an ass..."
Nathan seems to be in paid employment and if she wants to fritter away a few dollars on an absurdly -ev hunch, that's her lookout.
I hope she wins big. That would be comedy gold.

And no. No JD today. Gym in the late afternoon and a modest chilli for dinner.

I do have to concur with Axel. This is a bit of a snoozefest... Until Nathan wins.

Yea, generally around a 50% return.

I wouldn’t necessarily call them the ultimate bad wager, though, because the average wager is so low. On average you’d lose far more spending 30 mins on a $5 BJ table than Nathan will playing the state lotto for a whole week.

I have no idea what the lottery here holds since I don't play it. Yes, I hear its around 50% payback.

IIRC I think there have been times where it has gotten high enough to be an advantage. Hard to say since you don't know how many people are buying tickets.

I don't see a problem with buying a few lottery tickets from time to time when it gets high enough.

The entertainment value one might get dreaming what your their life would be like and what they would do with the money far exceeds the negative EV.

Nathan, you can ignore your detractors.

It is not your responsibility to entertain anyone other than yourself.

This is YOUR corner, to do with as you see fit (just keep it within the rules); if people don't like it they can ignore it.

The mods have basically corralled you into this thread, so run with it, free from concerns about the judgment of others.

As I always say, for recreational gambling, think of it as entertainment and stick to a budget accordingly.

At the risk of sounding judgmental, I must say your vocabulary and English are about three standard deviations on the right side of the bell curve for a lottery player. Usually, I never hear the word "earmark" outside of Washington DC congressional budget negotiations. Please take it as a compliment.

Speaking of compliments, I have been out of town but did notice the comparison of my Wizard caricature to that of Dean Martin. Thank you for the kind words, although I'm sure Dean would be very insulted at the comparison.

I wonder if I should get that logo updated. It was based on how I looked about a dozen years ago.

When is the next video coming out? People beyond the site would benefit from your lottery advice and predictions. Maybe if some of those people won in another state, they would throw you a bone. And my newer predictions failed again. But I got the "9" right in Pick 4. I predicted 49 would come up in Pick 4. 2912. I predicted that 831 would come up. 817 showed up. I think 49 and 831 are good bets to play for the entire week. ;)

I predict 129 Pick 3 is coming up soon. So, do a week of 800, 129, 880, 863, 813 Pick 3, 49 Pick 4 front pair, 8893 Pick 4, 47 Pick 2 box. :) A word to the wise. $1 for each of these numbers for a week worth of both drawings is $112. ;) And getting say only 863 once in the drawings is only a $80 win, meaning you would lose $32 in this hypothetical scenario. But getting say 880 you will win $160, netting you a $48 profit. :)

I decided to treat myself to Paradise City by Guns N Roses yesterday and it's a beyond amazing song. It has so many nooks and crannies in it and fake outs. I love it. One of my favorite "fake outs," are when Axl sings,"So far away, so far away," which would be the bridge in most songs, meaning the song is almost done, but surprise, surprise, the song is still in the MIDDLE and has roughly 3 minutes left! Wow. :D I love the part where Axl interrupts himself during his own song. Or basically harmonizes with himself. Something like "I feel so lucky(Strong powerful voice) "weeeee," high pitched wail. Thats pure gifted talent to interrupt/harmonize with yourself so effortlessly. :D I also love the "fake out " at about 4:45 seconds in where Axl wails,"Take me home, take me home," where this is usually the END of the song, but nope, surprise, surprise, there is still TWO minutes left and Axl gets even MORE intense and powerful and sounds like a cross between orgasming and being possessed. LMAO! :D There are other powerful and intense parts of the song but nowhere like say roughly 5:00-620. :)

I personally like the riff at 3:02 and get orgasmic at around the five minute mark. Then there is that segue around eight minutes into the live version, but that's never been recorded so it makes finding it a challenge.
The older I get, the better I recall things that never happened

Funny thing is, Axl himself sounds orgasmic around the 5 minute mark. ;)

Hi Nathan,

I won this dollar today at the casino playing coyote moon. Should I use it to play lottery? If so, how? Lots of 4s, 7s, and 8s.

I found and picked up a dime on the sidewalk today; I suggest you bet the # 10, as in ten cents.

According to a lyric website, this IS the bridge. My hunch was right! ;) Though I have never heard of a bridge in the middle of a song, usually it's towards the end of the song)

According to the lyric site, what I thought was,"I feel so lucky, weeee" is actually,"I'd have another cigarette, but I can't see"(The weeeee" is actually "see," ;) To be fair, Axl is screeching at the top of his lungs in this part in the song so it's easy to see how I got it so glaringly wrong. ;) Edit. It now sounds like he is singing something like,"I'd like another cigarette to liiiiiiiggghhhht!"(High pitched wail in the word,"light," ;) The next lyric is,"Tell me who you're gonna believe!"
