90 isn't bad at all, and much better than the reboot Chekov, at 27.

So now we have only Kirk and Sulu left from the original main cast.

Michael Forest, who guest starred as Apollo in "Who Mourns for Adonis," died just a couple weeks ago, at 97.

Star Trek actor Walter Koenig, 90.
link to original post

I sold him a few cheap comics at a convention around 1988. Star Trek wasn't nearly as big as it is now, and he was there to give a speech and sign autographs. We had a nice conversation, and I offered to give him the three or four books he selected, but he insisted on paying. He gave my assistant a very nicely inscribed autograph.
Rest in Peace.

He played an ensign to George Takei’s lieutenant, but Koenig was actually a half-year older than Takei.

He had to cancel a week before the 60th anniversary Las Vegas convention in August.

Seemed like a down-to-earth actor and human being.

In real life, he had an exceptional smile. I have no idea if they were his originals, but it actually distracted me during our short conversation.

I had a big crush on her in the early 70s when she was on ‘McMillan & Wife’ with Rock Hudson. That was a great show, but I bet it's unwatchable now. It was 50 years ago.

She was on the cover of Playboy magazine in September 1964. That movie was featured in the magazine and there was nude photos of her that us 9th graders goggled over.

So, another Star Trek alumni. kicks the bucket. The original, William Shatner, is still alive and kicking at 95. He is so active, it's hard to keep up with him.

And as proof that he didn't take himself too seriously, Patrick Stewart portrayed the Poop Emoji!

I'm glad he also had a chance to shine on the big screen, as I thought in his portrayal of Professor Xavier, the philosophical differences with Ian McKellan's Magneto was the most compelling aspect of the X Men series.

Not again. I was JUST randomly thinking yesterday how YOUNG Patrick Stewart looks and got the news today that Patrick Stewart died! 😱😳 There's been a VERY disturbing coincidence with me randomly thinking about celebrities and them dying a couple of days later! 😱😳 I remember a Woman saying the DAY that Marlo Brando died she randomly wondered,"Is Marlo Brando alive or dead?" And he died the same day she randomly wondered that about him, 😱😳 and she got freaked out! 😱😳

Roku City is currently showing a tribute to Stewart as one of their Easter Eggs. The marquee of the movie theater reads “Make It So” while Professor Xavier’s wheelchair is sitting in front on the sidewalk.

Jerry Koosman, former MLB pitcher and hero of the 1969 World Series. Koosman won 19 games and had seven shutouts in his rookie year of 1968. In 1969, he won 17 games and took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in the World Series. He won two games in the five-game Series win over Baltimore. He won 20 games twice in his career, with a lousy Mets team in 1976 and then with the Twins in 1979.
He won 222 games in his career. He was also one of the first tax protestors and eventually spent time in prison for federal tax evasion.

I find there is no excuse for wealthy people to not pay their taxes. They have the money to pay their taxes. I FULLY understand a case like MC Hammer who was newly rich and honestly DIDN'T know he was supposed to pay taxes on his new riches and ended up in debt l, 💡🤔 but wealthy people have absolutely no excuse for not paying their taxes. 😐

Steve Ditko died about ten years ago. This might have been his 100th birthday if he had lived, but some people list his birth year differently from what his resume does.

It's possible that Steve's death erroneously showed up recently as trending years after his death. 💡When George Foreman died last year, his Daughter's death was erroneously listed as her dying a few days after him. Darkoz listed her suicide death as dying that day and I responded something like,"Oh no, she must have committed suicide a few days after his death so he wouldn't be alone for long in the afterlife. 😭 So sad. 😭 I looked up her death and it turned out she had committed suicide about 8 years prior. I told Darkoz this and he responded something like,"Her death was erroneously trending and I didn't do any further research to see when her actual death was. My bad." 💡

None of us rise to the infallible greatness that is you.

Seriously, I saw an announcement of Steve Ditko's death on Facebook dated yesterday as I was going out the door. I posted here about his death and did not get back online for 16 hours (the modern form of fasting). Sorry, for being less careful than I might have been. My bad.

Ditko was a different sort of person. He claimed he wanted privacy, yet published a photo of his apartment building and had a huge Ditko attached to his front door. I used to have a letter he sent to a fan explaining why he doesn't sign autographs, and he signed it by hand. It turned out he sent hundreds of similar letters. My friend stalked him for a while, trying to get an interview. Ditko agreed to a meeting as long as there was no discussion of his claim to ownership of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Ditko ordered a very unusual combination of food and hardly touched it while telling my friend he shouldn't waste his time interviewing people for money and suggested he read Atlas Shrugged.
He chose to work for Charlton Comics, with a page rate half of what he could have recieved at a bigger company; he could have made a fortune appearing at comic shows (Stan Lee made many million dollars in appearance fees), but he chose to anonymously teach community art classes.
He wasn't wealthy. His estate was a little over a million dollars, and most of that was his apartment on the Upper East Side of NYC. His nephews sued Disney and got a nice settlement.

For some reason, I get a front page article annoucing the death of Michaerl Ray Richardson several times a year.

Lou Castello, of Abbott and Costello fame, didn't pay any taxes in the 1940s. And in the late 1940s, they got him. They took everything he owned. They even came to his house and took the diamond ring off his wife's finger. Those were the days when the IRS meant business. In 1990, the IRS discovered that Willie Nelson didn't pay any income tax during the 1980s. He owed $32 million and they almost bankrupted him. They sold all his properties, but his fans bought the properties up at a low price and gave them back to him. People are stupid with taxes, they think because they don't hear from the IRS immediately that they never will, but they always catch them eventually.

Oh my God, I saw the first line on the home page and thought Lou Costello had died! Don't scare me like that!

She should have worn the ring on her third finger, so when the IRS asked her where it is, she could legitimately say...

Taking the diamond ring right off of someone's finger was VERY excessive. 😱😳😬
