Quote: mcallister3200I thought they just got a ride from a local moose or caribou to the airport in Canada?
And before someone says I’m being “ignorant,” then if they don’t ride a moose to the airport then how come every pro sports team from up there has the most ridiculously stereotypical nickname, like everyone didn’t know the team was from Canada if the name didn’t remind them? Raptors are the only team with an acceptable sports nickname. Maple Leafs ok that’s just offensive but arguably acceptable otherwise, Canadians and Canucks as team names are you kidding me what kind of lameness is that? The only other comparable team name even close to that lame that I can think of is “Hoosiers”. And Flames is a lgbtq? unfriendly team name, I think, probably.
Calgary just kept their name when they moved from Atlanta.

8 days ago I looked and it was going to be in the 90s. Planned on swimming Sunday and Monday. Looked the other day and it will be 70s. Still may be able to swim monday. I dont think planet hollywood has a heated pool. Pittsburgh tomorrow is 82 and Vegas is 78.
ETA, just looked again and only 20% rain tomorrow and 87 and sun Sunday. Looks like the weather has changed again
Get a player's card at Cosmo and go to their pool on Monday. A player's card gets you into the pool on Monday through Thursday.
Good luck everyone! Wish I could be there! I was there last year on Mother's Day, bah.

Adventures so far:
For the life of me, I could not find the bus stop at Terminal 3, and I didn't see a single RTC bus go by, either. Ended up taking a shuttle. My ticket number is 422; the driver calls out, "322, to the (Downtown) Grand?". "I'm going to the Grand, but I'm 422." "Oh. 422?"
After dropping someone off, some guy behind us is honking. The driver pulls over to let him pass, he pulls alongside and points to the back of the shuttle, where the luggage door is open...
Check in to the DG, turn on the TV, and discover there's 57 channels and literally nothing on, as the DirecTV service for the entire has been out since Thursday night.
Oh well, I'll just connect to the WiFi...which won't connect. The front desk connects me to the WiFi guru, who gets me going. Five minutes later, it drops my connection and refuses to reconnect until.I restart my phone. After four times of this, the connection finally holds.
I hate being on east coast time. Went to bed at 130, up at 445

If anyone is around the area of the Aria the next few days, let me know via PM. I am here until Wednesday morning.
This trip was planned before the event came up, but I was hoping to fit it in. As usual, we are trying to do too much in too little time.
Have fun!

We had a turnout of about 16 for lunch at pizza rock and close to 30 for dinner at triple 7. The entire day went smoothly.
Also want to thank darkoz for sponsoring dinner even though he couldn't attend. That was very honorable. Nathan also helped pay for part of the dinner as part of her losing lottery picks a while back. I believe someone else pitched it to cover our $600 bill, but I missed the who it was.
Trivia at dinner was hosted by axel and the winning score was 5 out of 22. I got 0 correct.
I will make every efforts to attend again next year depending on when the date is.
I should point out the Wizard offered the use of the suite after the party for me and my family as a thank you for the dinner.
We fell asleep however in our room around 10pm so we still havent kicked that jetlag. Or maybe we were just tired from ziplining and shopping and stuffing our faces.
Thanks to the Wiz for the return offer though

Thanks for posting the trivia test Wizard. That was super difficult. I only got three, but I did get #14, even though the other popular answer was clever. #23 was really interesting. I'd like to know more about the backstory there.
prior to the detentioncenter the clark county jail had several bars surrounding it and those slot machines often provided bail money. Every released inmate got twenty dollars, which meant a drink ad a few spins.
To this day edge-nicked cards are assembled by prison labor and resold to casinos for gift shop sales.
My over/under for him would be 15.5.
What happens when a member of your group tells other people in your group that it is ok to smoke near the elevator, in the "smoking lounge"?

I'd take the under I think. He knows a lot of stuff, but these are very detailed questions. Almost all of them more difficult than a $2000 Jeopardy! question.

No - Wizard offered to pay $100 in lieu of having to buy me the 134,459 beers he owes me.
Anything interesting happen on Sunday? I did quite a bit of "hiking" on my own - mainly from hotel to hotel along the Strip. I also spent a couple of hours at the Pinball Hall of Fame. I can't believe how many of the newer machines are rock band themed - for example, there are Aerosmith, KISS, and Metallica machines. (There was also an AC/DC machine, but I think that's slightly older.)
One thing I found interesting; there's a "Best Western / Casino Royale" sign on the Strip, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out where the hotel's entrance was.
Whoever designed the Venetian and its shops needs to make it clearer where the exits are; I spent 15 minutes (and stumbled into the Sands Convention Center) trying to find one close to the south side of the shops. I ended up going back through the casino to the main entrance. However, I did discover something; apparently, it is not true that all used Venetian casino dice are destroyed, as I found a shop that sells them.
