Quote: OnceDearDon't you even suspect that if the memo doesn't exist that Comey would have stepped forth and said "Woah guys: That bit of news is fake"
Fine. Produce the letter.
Even if Trump did ask him if he could drop the Flynn investigation, this is not a crime, and it is not obstruction of justice.
If any part of it was criminal, Comey would have reported it to the Attorney General.
Comey has a credibility problem.
Earlier this month, he testified under oath that Huma Abedin had a ‘regular practice’ of sending ‘hundreds or thousands’ of emails to her husband Anthony Weiner’s laptop.
A week later, ProPublica reported that neither of those claims was true. It wasn’t a ‘regular practice’, and she only sent a handful of emails, not 'hundreds or thousands' for printing.
“….far more benign than the FBI Director led America to believe.”- -New York Magazine
Far more benign than he led Congress to believe as well.
Comey is either a liar, or he is grossly misinformed. In either case, he doesn’t deserve to be the FBI Director.
It wasn’t until nearly a week after Comey testified, and only after the ProPublica report, that the FBI and not Comey, sent this letter to Senator Grassley 'to clarify the Director's testimony'.

If it comes down to Comey's word vs. Donald's word, Comey ain't the one with the credibility problem....

What an odd thing to say. It's almost as though you are implying that there is any evidence that trump has lied at some point in time. And of course, there is no such evidence. Trump might have once made a mistake, but he never lies and certainly not intentionally.
ROFLMAO. In case anyone just wandered into the 21st century and is new to this forum, the above comment was not meant to be taken seriously.
trump is the biggest liar ever to stand at a podium in any country and in any sphere of life. He's an insult to the species.

'Art Of The Deal' Co-Author: Trump Will Resign, Then Declare Victory
“I surely believe that at some point over the next period of time he’s going to have to figure out a way to resign,” Schwartz said in comments posted online by Mediaite. But in quitting, Trump will try to “figure out a way, as he has done all his career, to turn a loss into a victory so he will declare victory when he leaves.”

Commentary: The "what if" president
WASHINGTON -- I interviewed Sen. John McCain the other night during a chaotic week and he said, "Bob we've seen this movie before." So I'm thinking, "what if this movie had a slightly different plot?"
What if President Trump had taken Barack Obama's private advice to get Gen. Flynn to resign in the beginning?
What if he had cut Flynn loose after Flynn told the Trump team he was under federal investigation?
What if he had gone on national television and said, "I've told FBI Director Comey to get to the bottom of this Russia situation, no one wants to clear it up more than me because we have work to do."
What if he had joined Republican and Democratic leaders in praising the selection of Robert Mueller as special counsel instead of calling it a "witchhunt?"
But he didn't. So, I don't know what answers the special counsel will find, but it brings me back to something else that John McCain said the other night: This has reached "Watergate size and scale."

From the link you provided, two comments by DMWNC1 and HONGRN caught my attention. The comment by DMWNC1 posed lots of questions and ended with an answer "...we'll never know" and it reminds me of a WoV's SooPoo post in which he/she answered one of his/her own question as "Thank god, we'll never know..." (I can't find exact quote from SooPoo's post in this thread topic. I also don't see my others posts/replies in this thread. What happened?).
HONGRN's comment best reflect the current state of our nation. And I also like DMWNC1's comment because his/her comment reminds me of SooPoo's answer to his/her own question).
The two comments by DMWNC1 and HONGRN in responding to the "What If" article you referenced are repeated below for convenience to WoV readers:
DMWNC1
What if during the first 100 days of his presidency Trump spent it at the White House and actually knuckled down, working with our elected officials to make America great again instead of jetting off to Mar a Lago twenty-five times to play golf?
What if during the first 100 days of his presidency Trump put the damn phone down, shut off his Twitter account, quit attending pep rallies, and actually tried uniting the country instead of dividing it?
What if during the first 100 days of his presidency Trump said he was going to "drain the swamp", then turned around and filled it with his own billionaire cabinet of alligators and hired his own family to run the country from inside the White House?
What if Trump didn't turn his back on the Middle Class and go back on nearly every single one of his campaign promises?
What if every time we turned around Trump wasn't whining about something again, and again, and again?
What if?
I guess we'll never know.
HONGRN
You can't teach this orange dog new tricks. A pitbull will never be a golden retriever. A thug will never be able to buy any class no matter how rich he becomes. It's so sad to think that our fellow citizens voted for this anal orifice to lead this great nation.
Quote: OnceDearLook guys. I'm sick of trump. May he rot in hell.
His first 100 days are history, so I assert that it is counter productive to add comments to a thread about his first 100 days.
In an uncharacteristically optimistic mood, I invite discussion of his Final 100 days, which has hopefully now begun.
My champagne is in the fridge awaiting his resignation, impeachment, or untimely demise. I may crack the bottle open early if nukes start flying, but sure as hell will have another one ready if I survive the first volley of trump induced missile launches and I hear of one splitting its warheads twixt the Whitehouse and Mar a Lago.
I may offer side bets on whether I started the countdown too soon. In truth, I think that the wheels of justice will plod along at glacial pace, but that they will be as unstoppable as global warming.
Let this thread celebrate every step back towards sanity and democracy even if we are forced to accept that we will pass through a pretty dreadful Pence term on that route.*
*Who apart from Trump would want that w@nk3r Pence as VP or Potus? Surely not even the most conservative Republican. But, What the heck. Nothing trumps trump.
Oh. And as a side topic: Would it be preferable to have an ousted trump claiming some glory if that was the price to pay for having him out of power? Even Adolf still has a fan club.
Comey friend: Trump repeatedly tried to compromise him
http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/19/politics/benjamin-wittes-comey-trump-relationship/
Excerpt:
President Donald Trump repeatedly tried to woo former FBI Director James Comey through phone calls, private sit-downs and even a hug, according to a published account of their relationship by a Comey friend.
IMO, the GOP privately want to get rid of the racist, sexist, rapist and scam artist Trump, but they are afraid to do so because of Trump's base, in which they desperately needed for any re-election. The GOP put their interest above America's interest, and for this reason, I don't see an impeached Trump scenario within the next 100 days.
