Edit:As I was typing this, Rex Tillerson just jumped on the air to make a statement, trying to do damage control over Trump's idiotic and uninformed tweet about Qatar. He'll be pursuing a diplomatic solution to the regional crisis.
It now appears that Trumpy, in his speech this afternoon, has undercut Tillerson and doubled down on admonishing Qatar for funding terrorism. All the while aligning himself with Saudi Arabia who is probably the largest source of terrorist funding. BUT more importantly putting our men and women on that military base in Qatar at risk. What a friggin' scumbag.

I mean, cmon -- he's (supposedly) going to be the worst president ever, something about Russians, scamming cancer children, and fired the FBI head for investigating into the Russian stuff. Yeah I've not cared about his impeachment. I think impeaching him would be the worse thing. He's really f'ing a ton of stuff up, screwing his voters, and just helping out the top 1-2%. $100,000 in donations made during an annual golf tournament hosted by Eric Trump were funneled through the Eric Trump foundation back into Trump’s golf courses for expenses during the tournaments, despite donors being told that all their money would go to charity, the report said.
Additionally, more than $500,000 over 10 years was then re-donated to other charities, including charities connected to members of the Trump family. At least four of those charities also held charity golf tournaments at Trump golf courses, according to the report.

Aw, guys, let's not make a gentleman's gesture into a point of contention. I appreciated it very much, still do.
More to the point, there used to be room for more than 1 viewpoint in politics, and that was to everyone's advantage, as it allowed a problem or event to be considered from every angle. IMO, there's still room for that on this forum, but differences of opinion should not include off-topic aspersions cast into other people's faces.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that the SCOTUS will outlaw partisan gerrymandering, or at least dictate a process/guideline that will eliminate the current abusive practice in gerrymandering.

That said, despite all of the crap that is going on with his presidency (all of it deserved), I do hope that his administration gets it together and that they do real steps to enact their economic agenda. If he can actually pull off trade deals that returns jobs to the heartland and get through the current chaos while the Democratic party remains in its current turmoil, he has a good chance to do 8 years. But so far, his policies have only helped his rich friends and himself. His budget only hurts his electorate. The rollback of banking regulations that likely won't get through the Senate removes oversight from payday and title-loan companies allowing them to take advantage of the most disadvantaged. His foreign policy blunders don't really impact his base as the economic impacts of those blunders are negligible and leads inevitably to more military spending which attracts his red-meat supporters.
