Nice artwork!

With confidence running very low that Bac79 will show up, I suggest we move the event away from the pricey Bellagio and someplace where we can slum it a bit. In particular, the SLS. I am still not promising to go but my odds will get better if we move it to somewhere less snooty than the Bellagio.

1) Maybe he was abducted by the Lucchese crime family because he didn't want to pay kickbacks.

2) He's in the witness protection program.

3) The stuffed monkey lost it's psychic powers and he's incredulous.

4) He's having an affair.

5) The monkey uped and disappeared.

6) He stole an $800,000 piece of machinery and he's on the lamb.

I'd be willing to bet he will show, but he never said anything about doing it downtown, so you're kind of changing the terms to put it at the GN. Haven't talked to him, however, and certainly not speaking for him. But it's his bet, he should be able to set the place, maybe work with people on the timing.

I profited from his shenanigans +$125 betting this wouldn't happen. I seriously always doubted this would ever happen, but I figured It was possible. I sold off action as well.

He had a few suspicious stories that was a tip off from the start. (true or not it raised some eyebrows).

I was fairly confident this wasn't going to happen when he wouldn't put up or shut up like he himself suggested. He had plenty of time to get AOS or someone some good faith money. He avoided that conversation like the plague.

I brought it up a few times while he was active on the forum, he glazed right over it, as if it wasn't brought up.

I can tell you he's a real person. I think He was way more down to earth than his posts here suggested. He seems like a good old boy in his normal life.

I believe he definitely works in the road spill clean up business. I'm confident he plays baccarat but, I doubt the limits he claims.

It's like he was putting on a alter ego show and got caught up in it. Almost as if he was expressing who he would like to be especially when he's gambling.

It seems he looked up to AOS and his higher rolling BJ lifestyle, known lawyer, trip reports and WOV celebrity status.

The red flags went up almost immediately.

Gives multiple versions of the same story.

Changes the subject.

Brings up a subject then refuses to discuss it.

Becomes defensive.

Gives unnecessary explanations.

These are some of the traits of a pathological liar. I'm not accusing anyone of being a pathological liar, just listing some of the signs. There is a lot of information out there on this. I suggest taking a few moments to look it up. It's very enlightening.

To the few hangers on I say good luck waiting for an explanation. To those who made plans, who believed in this, I'm sorry it didn't work out. Don't let it make you become jaded. Any frustration is understandable, in fact one person compared it to the guy who didn't pay his bet. We all know what happened there, don't we secret admin? Wink, wink.

When the bets that were made involving B79 are not paid in a timely manner (and we need to remember that time was given for the issue you bring up to be resolved BEFORE it became a thread and nuke situation), then it would be appropriate to call B79 out and, if it is forum custom now, unleash the nuke option on him.

I don't know of anyone who make a special trip to Vegas for this; I think it was all people who were already going to be there. Lots of people plan to do things and then they don't happen, that isn't as significant to me as the "welching"...if "welching" indeed happens. I don't think anyone is really "okay" with it, but what actionable item, based on the rules or customs of the board, has happened? People have been expressing displeasure about the issue and this is appropriate.

Anyway, I am not sure why seem to always be taking the admins to task. Their jobs are low pay and low reward--they mostly can only screw up (in our opinions) and be noticed; otherwise they are just there. I don't particularly like everything that has happened with them, but I am sure I would make someone made if I was a admin, too.

I'm not sure what to think about the plan making. Several of the people with action on the b79 situation are vegas local APs who travel to play. They didn't travel to Vegas for the event, but perhaps they would have considered leaving town for other opportunities if there weren't a way to make such easy money by staying in town.

It looks like a couple of people think I'm exaggerating, sort of like when someone says "I am not sure why you always want to take the admins to task". Looks like everyone exaggerates at some point although not everyone gets their posts picked apart. Silly? Silly is in the eye of the beholder. Some may think it silly that a mysterious secret administrator suddenly appears to nuke a longtime member. Where's the transparency that is the pride of our leaders?

Before I exaggerate any further I've summoned an Army helicopter to rescue me. I'm on my way to the roof now.

One must think ahead, with the white slots gloves and tetanus shot.

Good grief. Now I can get back to the real world where the sciences also come to life in expression (as we find numbers in everything) instead of dying as the ink dries in some textbook.
Nonsense is a very hard thing to keep up. Just ask the Wizard and company.

it is still early. Wasn't the meet to happen like today. Obviously once the date passes there shall be outrage.

but, to think people made plans for a week for a monkeyfest is just silly. Isn't there still a WOV gathering?

I believe B79 wrote a check his monkey couldn't cash. Personally I don't think he could ever live up to the stories he told and the picture he painted.

I always get suspicious of people who brag about betting and losing tens of thousands of dollars, especially newcomers who lead with that BS. Usually the guys that actually bet like that tend to keep the numbers to themselves. It's not even the fact they mention it, its how and why they say it.

If he doesn't pay there's no need for outrage, no need for a suspension, no need for anything. The embarrassment should be enough. He will lose any and all credibility. EVERYTHING he has ever said or says will all be disbelieved including, pictures, business owner status, high roller status, stories.

Assuming this doesn't happen, Maxpen will be the only person that will have lost anything, he made a side bet with me because he thought B79 was a man of his word. I don't think max has been a member here long enough to realize how desperate for attention some gamblers can be, especially baccarat players. He may no know how many times we have seen this
BS before, it's usually the same outcome.

Perhaps he will have some extravagant excuses, but I won't be buying it. I'll be somewhat surprised if he even returns to face the music. He could've been a legend on the forum like he seemingly wanted, instead he will be forgotten, but we will always have the monkey to snicker at.

I have been saying since day 1 that he is a sock puppet. I asked him at least 10 times in different threads and he never once even acknowledged me. Not saying that he is but I always find it suspicious when a new member goes from brand new to hundreds of posts very quickly. I would think that most people would ease themselves into a new forum. Although I think I jumped in quickly. Romes also came barreling in with both feet if I remember correctly. I had the sock puppet suspicion with him as well, which I was way wrong.

I hope he shows up tonight with the monkey and the cash. It is the right thing to do. I dont think everybody should put the boots to him until he doesn't show. I he fails to make it with out a legitamite excuse other then I will be the first one to lace up my boots and kick him. (well as much as you can on an internet forum.)

Lets see this monkey if you are watching B79

That's because she was so skinny but to end up at the Wynn? In a shoe store of all places?

Let's see if anyone gets the reference. Free monkey to the first one who gives us her character name and real name.
