Since Baccaratform79 loves to post new threads, I figured I would follow suit.

MonkeyFest 2015. Some details can be found here https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/tables/21384-dispell-the-voo-doo-myth-baccart-challenge/#post441643

Since I didn't want to monkey around anymore, I contacted Baccaratform79 and had a chat with him to confirm MonkeyFest 2015 will happen.

He did confirm he and his monkeys will be in town between April 22-28 and all bets are on. (God or monkey help us)

During the conversation I asked him about his little golden imp(The monkey was unavailable for comment). Baccaratform79 informed me that he was just paying along with with the voodoo BS that someone else initiated. He stated that he does NOT actually believe in the monkey madness, nor can it help him predict or summon cards. It's just a good luck charm gimmick that he brings out when everybody is winning and having a good time, something to add some flavor to the game. That's understandable since baccarat seems lame without all the superstitious shenanigans. (he authorized me to post about the conversation)

Ps. I'm bringing a shammy. Oh and some brass knuckles for you AOS, just in case any crazy bitches are at the table, or Baccaratform79 fondles you.

Good thing, man crushes can be a terrible
thing, and B79 obviously has a bad one on
Ace..

So the monkey was just a joke, so surprised.

AXel, true to a certain point. I do know that little monkey has won me lots of $$$ in the past. other than that, your interpretation is almost accurate. Almost. AS far as the man crush, totally wrong, I am not gay and have nothing against gay people or transgender, BTW, one of my wife's good friends is a beautiful post-op stunning 10 on a 10 scale ladyboi and you would never know it, not in a hundred years, straight men drool over 'her/it' every time. If you are gay or hung up on gays, whatever floats your boat is okay, same for BOB.

Idolizing a lawyer, yeah right, nothing I despise more in the entire universe. Most lawyers are liars and they ruin many lives. Necessities like doctors but in my mind and the minds of many I know, lawyers and doctors both.....have that license to cheat and steal from their clients.....if there is no problem there is no money....period. Besides the lawyer thing, he is a real person-playing a real game--telling it the way it is. Unlike others that twist and turn and allege.

As far as the crush thing.....be happy making stuff up like others. It's okay, that is what children do.

I thought you were a genuine person with solid traits but you have convinced me otherwise.

Axel has a quote up in this thread that I cannot copy and it says, Bac79 said, "I am not gay (edit) much but when I am..." which he claims I said in his quote of mine. He fabricated that and makes it appear I said that and he quoted me. I have nothing against gays or transgendered. Nothing, period. Axel fabricated that is why I labeled him a piece of shit, nothing more and nothing less. Seriously, you win at this point, do what you want and say what you want.

IMO when someone quotes another and then changes the quote it is fabricated. Others will read the quote and roll with it as the person said it. I don't care if its about gays, robbing banks, playing cards or whatever, plain f****ed up.

Okay, we will. Three days.

Axel also gets three days for misquotation. The second suspension for this in three days for this, I might add. While I can see that between the "(edit)" and the comment afterward, Axel might argue he was joking. However, charges were clearly pressed. I am not big on editing quotes to misrepresent what somebody else was trying to say, even if it is acknowledged or done in humor. Future suspensions for misquotations may carry stiffer penalties.

Here's what I wrote about this issue. It is very pertinent and I would like the Administrators to consider that even requoting a quote mid-sentence, ellipsis or not, can change the meaning and intent of the person making the original quote.

My impressions of what MonkeyFest was going to be:

I am arriving on the Strip the 24th. Therefore, Bacc79 and I were planning to get together to play either the 24th or 25th. Then, the whole "monkey" bet came about and the get-together evolved into all those interested in wagering with Bacc79 as well as anyone else who merely wanted to join in and have a fun night out (and of course, the Wizard overseeing it all while asking the cocktail waitresses trivia questions while we all lose our $1's to him per each question lol)

So, I will be downtown the 21st to 24th then I switch to the Strip

I still don't understand the wager in question but am up for a mini WoV get together.

If I remember correctly...

Within one full shoe, B79 will call upon the power of the monkey which will cause the next card dealt to be a zero value card, 10-K. He has to do this twice, within one shoe. If he calls twice and it's a zero twice, he and/or the monkey wins. If not, he loses.

I think...

I think it's within one session of play, not one full shoe, and B79 estimated that would be 2-3 hours of play (several shoes?). Otherwise that's how I understand the bet as well, and I could be wrong about the detail.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I think I have a handle on it:

Bacc79 will be in Vegas the 22nd to the 26th on the Strip
I will be in Vegas on the Strip the 24th to 27th

Apparently, Bacc79 has a "magic monkey" (a stuffed animal) that can summon forth a "0" card when he calls upon it while playing baccarat.
A few members challenged this as mere "voodoo"
Bacc79 and those members decided they would back up their positions with a wager (I believe the going rate of the bet was $400 per person)

As such, it was decided that those who were wagering with Bacc79, the Wizard, any other members from the board who happened to be in Vegas on the night of the bet (either the 24th or 25th—still to be decided) and I would all meet up. Bacc79 would supply the drinks and we would all watch (or participate if the mood struck us) him play baccarat.

Within that baccarat session, Bacc79 would have to use the "magic monkey" doll to summon forth a "0" card on two occasions

If a "0" was "summoned" forth both times, Bacc79 would win the wager—if not, Bacc79 would lose the wager

You would know best, and all of that sounded very familiar.

It is even money, B79 bet 400 with me and 400 with Axel. I am willing to sell a little of mine and think Axel said he would as well.

Why would you guys want to sell the action? Card counting aside, you have an 81% advantage.

I don't want to. But I did state on the forum that I would let someone in attendance cover 300 worth of my 400 in action for 200 should we win. Axel was willing to give up 200 straight up. Axel and I also have a side bet as to whether this will actually happen or not. Me betting 125 to his 50 that Bacc79 will follow thru with the bet before May 1st.

I don't WANT to sell action but i'm not greedy, I don't mind sharing some as long as the person shows up. Right now I offered RS some action assuming he comes or known friends/members. I'll offer you some as well for sweat equity.

Maxpen was a fairly new member when he grabbed $400 of the $800 from B79. Max was fairly confident B79 would follow through with this bet. So I bet him $50 to win $125 saying this bet would never happen.

The only way I lose is if B79 shows up and actually gets lucky (or mission bets everything on red, or gets rolled by a hooker )

Honestly I was slightly skeptical of Maxpen at first, however we meet up in person a few times and he is in fact a real person and seems like a good guy with a nice wife. HE ponied up $200 in good faith money. He offered the full $400, but I didn't think it was necessary.

I meet with Mission since I happened to be in his area at the time. has my $400 in good faith money.

B79 hasn't yet put up anything he said he would let AOS hold the money.

Either way B79 or no B79 there's been an open invite during this time for a mini WOV meet up. I have no reason to think B79 won't honor his promise. I'm certainly interested in watching him bet $1000s a hand in baccarat.
