Discussion about the Suspension List
1.) I knew someone else would, anyway.
And:
2.) I fully agree with his position.
He would rather the Wizard have the $100 than him, when the Wizard needed it, now that the Wizard does not need it, he'd rather have it back than a charity to whom (I assume) Mosca has not previously donated. When Wizard offered the refunds, the money became Mosca's to do with as he likes. However, I do respect the Rules, so a Suspension must be served for profanity. For that reason, I am unsuspending Mosca immediately and will serve the remainder of his Suspension myself. The unbanning will take immediate effect, and I will post the Lines for this week's football game shortly after midnight tonight and will begin serving the remainder of Mosca's Suspension immediately thereafter.

As much as I respect Mission, this is not a good road to go down. People should not be allowed to serve time for someone else, especially Admins.

Unfortunate incident, but folks need to take responsibility for their actions. Let it slide. Reminder: this IS the Internet after all, virtual reality, not real life. I think I'm paraphrasing the always usually sensible Mosca. :-)

That's number six for for Buzz not counting all the passes he's gotten. You can easily see that Zuga did everything he possibly could to avoid this but the relentless taunting kept escalating.
He's got 6500 posts in less than two years and risks it all for what? The one he calls "darling" may not be able to help him this time.
This isn't the 1960s Baltimore.

I don't have a problem with him, but I didn't see anything but him for whatever reason continuing on that same path.
I see other people with complaints or concerns, but there's a wrong way to complain. I think he was finding it.

What if an Admin serves some time for one member but not another? They are supposed to be neutral "referees" and not take sides when it comes to the forum rules.
What if an admin says it's ok for one person to serve time for someone but then denies or doesn't see a request for another?
This is not prison we are talking about. It's 3 days (or whatever) of not being allowed to post on an internet forum. You can even read everything during this time. Take the time and return when it's done. Everyone is responsible for their own actions.

Okay, some good points.
However, for true disrupters still being here means they can incur more suspensions right away and the sooner they are gone, whether their first suspension is served by another or not. (one good thing)

Anyone who knows me from my actions here, they know that I choose my words very carefully. I do not write anything that I do not intend to write, nor do I write anything I do not mean. I felt it was important to say what I said to convey the vehemence with which I felt it. There was no mock offense, it was real. The suspension was the consequence of the expression of my emotions, but it was inevitable because I had to say it. It was too important to me to let it go.
No one has to serve my suspension. I knew I was getting it. It was the price I paid to speak freely.
For what it's worth, I am not accepting Mike's money. He is free to do with it whatever he wants. It was freely given. Money means nothing to me, other than the way it lubricates life.

Word about the sale is still ongoing -- would certainly explain some of it.
On the WOV issue, I guess they could tell someone to not sit at the table with them, but I don't think that would happen since most suspensions are really minor issues in real life. They are important to forum life, but saying a bad word or calling someone a troll isn't usually a prison sentence out of the street.

B9 may have bitten the dust but I'm not so sure he was "trolling" alone...there were some who baited him and he perhaps took the bait but the others don't get anywhere near the same punishment.
There is at least person here who has done worse than B9...that person has written nasty private messages to people that they couldn't answer because he or she had them blocked and who also bullied people in other instances. How that cat survived all this time when B9 took the big bomb baffles me.
I don't think B9 trolls, by definition, any more than some other members who aren't "wingnuts"...there are others who push things around here that seem to get a free ride and it kind of sucks. B9 was actually involved in some good discussions both here and on DT.
Oh, well. Admins have gone a bit trigger happy and I could care less about ducking for cover.

I suspect I have had a lack of class in the past, mind.

If someone was on here, acted like an idiot, and got nuked, then they got what they deserved. But we all know that it is fairly easy to create another account. If the new persona follows the rules, chances are pretty good they would never be discovered. But too many of them come back and continue to act the exact same way, so the outcome is the same.
What is it they say about insanity? Keep doing the same thing but expecting different results?
Yes, the suspensions are sort of silly on a forum with adult members, BUT, with some of the characters that have come on here I think it is pretty safe to assume this forum would have probably sunk into the same crapola that plagues so many other internet forums. I like what we have way better than that alternative.

I have no issues with most suspensions.
I do think that B9 was singled out for "trolling" when more than a few others do much the same thing around here and pay a much smaller price.

So I thought about it. And this is what I came up with. I'll see if I can live up to it. I doubt it. I'll post on WoV when I'm on road trips and absolutely won't drink. When I'm home I'm gonna totally ignore WoV. That's the only solution I can see. I'll see if I can live up to that.
