That was great. But also, the whole idea is chuckle-worthy. There's an off-topic, non-gambling discussion on another gambling board about how this board is suffering from non-gambling drama. We've gone so far off the rails that we've crashed into blackjack: the forum, I guess?
Quote: beachbumbabsJJ is real. The explanation is forthcoming. Patience, please.
Damn, and I really wanted to laugh at all the people who got pranked. :D

That's funny. There wouldn't be any drama though if people didn't treat a suspension on an internet forum like it was Brown v. Board of Education.
[guesses about possible nuke reason deleted]
I am curious though! This soap opera is getting better.
note to wizard, if you add two more hammers, more and more things start looking like nails.

Oh, c'mon, that's not fair. You don't even know the reason. The moderators here do a pretty good job, so, the default assumption has to be that the nuke was for a very good reason.
I am still curious though...
I have no idea where he lives though, out in Henderson somewhere?
JuicyJennie and Nareed both in the same day??? I looked through their last series of posts and found nothing really insulting or out of the ordinary, so the explanation should be an interesting one.
I have many abilities, but patience is not one of them...

I believe that you said that she was a guy (or that she was not real?).
I'm kidding, it is not the case that JuicieJennie is a man. Well, I guess nobody actually knows for sure in terms of first-hand experience, but I assume she's not.
Bob, Bob, Bob*rolls eyes......You always pop in when you think you are right about something, and then disappear(one time, for a long period of time, from what I hear) and have no comment when you know you were wrong.(Often)Quote: EvenBobIt was only a matter of time, something was wrong

You said, something like, No one would meet up with her because she was not even real. I said BS, I think she is real. I have not meet or seen her in person, but my money was/is on the YES, she is real. Only question I had, what she is really up to. If I meet up with her, would I get mugged in the parking lot after words? Pickpocketed, or would she simply just try to hustle chips from me.
EVERYONE with any brains has to know what JJ is all about. I was one of the first people to say she was trying to get people to bet chips for her. (nothing is "wrong" since that seems obvious and she kid of admitted it). Or she was simply not real in the first place?
So before the we find out what the read deal is. Why don't you enlighten us on a few things first. Things like: Mainly do you think she is real. If so what was she up to, other then she likes money and is a hustler. Was it all a elaborate hoax? Did she say she would meet up with someone and didn't show up? Was she real fat and ugly? Did she bring a pimp and try to rob someone? Was she a different member?

Is she a soxfan? or a beachbum? or a g8BJplayer?
This all started right around the time that JJ started to post and interact.
I don't for one instant say it was her fault, just that the co-incidence existed and it needed to be acknowledged.
Back to the "hammers" and what has recently been taking place.
I believe that the Wiz has decided that the only way to bring back the site into line with his wishes and his "ethos" was to bring the smack down. If you are going to step out of line, you are going to get pushed back into line.
This has caused a few quick bans/suspensions and will more than likely continue for the forseable future..........
I don't know if any of this is accurate, it's simply my opinion.
Frankly I applaud the step as I think people should chill out or get out no? Why come on here and insuclt and attack people? Either enjoy yourself and state your "facts, opinions or any other" or simply don't log on.......
Now I still am curious as to why both JJ and Nareed got the heave ho :)
Quote: TomspurThe best thing for the inside of a man is the outside of a horse - Winston Churchill
Just wanted to let you know Churchill never said this or anything like this. The actual quote is "There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man," and it is often misattributed to Churchill. The people who run Churchill's museum say he never said it. Churchill did have a quote with a similar meaning that he really did say: "No hour of life is lost that is spent in the saddle."
As for "There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man," there's no real record of who said it first. Ronald Reagan definitely said it, but it was around many years before him. There is some agreement that it dates back to Lord Palmerston, the British PM in the 1800s.

You are absolutely correct but I did some research and found that Churchill was indeed phrased as saying this but it also admits that Churchill was perhaps not the first to coin the phrase.
As I am South African, which is a former British colony as well as a current member of the Commonwealth, I thought I would stick with him.
If you feel I am making a misrepresentation, let me know and I will be glad to change it.

Ya, I believe that to be the case. Isn't she in or supposed to be in Vegas right now? I have a feeling it has something to do with her trip there and some realisations when she arrived and perhaps met up with one, two, three, however many WoV'ers?
EDIT: Her last post kind of worried me a little, the one in which she asked if anybody wanted to sunbathe with her (or something to that effect)
Has there ever been a more eagerly awaited message from the Wiz, ever? :)
Probably give Nareed a get out of jail card too for the same reasons out of sympathy.

No read the diversity tomorrow thread and came to the conclusion. It took a few minutes after almost having a headache, but is my opinion to show mercy like I already said. I don't really understand what you mean by an equality debate, but for it doesn't matter anyways. Doesn't feel like trolling or else I would think i'd be laughing here, but I am very mellow and calm.Quote: AxelWolfYou must be trolling. You said, "If for no other reason, she is female." You don't think that's going to cause a debate? Seriously?Quote: AxelWolfMaybe I misused the word, but to my understanding it means, men and women should receive equal treatment. It has already been brought up
That has to be the worst reason.
You know better then that.

I couldn't care less if "HotBlonde" is female or male. All I know is that her posts do not add much to the gambling discussions on this site. When I've seen her in a thread, manufactured drama has accompanied her more often than not. I think she already got a lenient ruling on her suspensions, since her first suspension was 3 days, her second suspension was 7 days, and her third suspension was also 7 days.
Has any other member been suspended three times, and the third suspension was only a week? "HotBlonde" already receives tremendously favorable treatment from the administration of this site, considering her previously documented behavior and her interest almost exclusively in talking about herself and other off-topic subjects. Therefore I couldn't disagree with onenickelmiracle more that her suspension should be lifted early.
It is my personal opinion, and I am speaking only for myself, that this site reads a lot better when we talk about ideas and things, not about ourselves. "HotBlonde's" primary interest seems to be talking about herself, and thus I think the forum reads better when she is not posting.

Personally I'm not for petty bans. But, if she did in fact make up a derogatory email just to send SP a message after agreeing to not communicate with him here. To me, that's just bat sht crazy and perhaps she needs some time off from the forum to take a breath.

My feelings on this as previously stated, https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/info/rules/3853-discussion-about-the-suspension-list/227/#post328316
Also giving an early lift or get out of jail free card just tells them their behavior is okay and that it will be tolerated again, when it should not be. Your gender should not factor into the standards you are held to.

I believe I will peruse the Suspension list prior to posting my response to this query, so let's take a look:
1.) Buzzard was Suspended twice (once as Buzzpaff) and both were for three days.
2.) Jybrd0403 has actually been Suspended three times, while the third was for fourteen days, both the first and second were for seven.
3.) AHigh/AAHigh was not nuked for multiple identities.
4.) Nareed actually jumped from a first Suspension of Three days to a second Suspension of Thirty days.
5.) Texasplumr was Suspended for five days on his first Suspension and Three on the second.
6.) Treetopbuddy's last two were both for thirty days.
Interestingly enough, this varied history would seem to point towards an apparent tendency of Administration to occasionally consider the context of a Suspension rather than strictly adhere to the Martingale policy. There have, in fact, been males who have positively benefitted by such consideration and one female for whom such consideration has worked detrimentally.
In any event, I can say that HotBlonde will serve her full seven day Suspension.

Several pages ago and could have easily been missed. I could quote it but is some good discussion that could have also been missed that took place shortly after said post.
Obviously their should be some leeway on suspensions WE shouldn't question the administrations decisions if it dose not directly affect you ,or its an obvious unfair suspension like Rogers, it's is not a law, its a rule to use as a guide line.Quote: Mission146I believe I will peruse the Suspension list prior to posting my response to this query, so let's take a look:

I did not know that suspensions could be handed out for things that happen in real life.
What's an example of something a member could do completely outside the context of this forum that warrants suspension ? I just reread the rules and not a single one seems to apply to the non internet world.
So if someone is using this forum to stalk, cheat, steal, kill, con others it should be tolerated ?Quote: michael99000I did not know that suspensions could be handed out for things that happen in real life.
