I have a few gay friends not the flamboyant type. After a while you just forget they are gay since they are not always shoving it in your face(; I had a few somewhat of some awkward oops moments while paling around. I said the phrase "Man thats F-ing GAY!" *SILENCE* I grew up in a time that calling someone gay was the worst insult you could call someone. Over the years the word has morphed into a word used in a few different situations. One way it's used heavily is when describing something or someone stupid. Normally used by high school kids in friendly banter. IE If someone says, lets go eat at Big Joe's diner someone may not like that place and say "no man that place is GAY!" Or when someone dose something your friend don't like such as locking your friend out of the car he may respond with, "stop being GAY and, let me in" if you walk in and you friend is listening to Justin Bieber your comment to him would be, "your so GAY man!" and You would probably be right.

Numerous flights in and out of Mexico City have been changed due to volcanic ash.

Yeah, overreaction is so typical these days we may as well call it reaction :)

Really, the volcano's been active for about a decade now. It burps from time to time, which is a very good thing. Think, each event where steam, or rock, or ash, or lava is released, means a release of geological stress. That also means no major pressure buildup is taking place. So it may affect the local farming towns nearby (land near volcanoes, like floodplains, is unusually fertile) from time to time, and sometimes there will be evacuations, but overall it's no big worry.

Consider Mexico City, in various incarnations, has been where it is since the 1320s or so. And all that time it's been known there's a semi-active volcano nearby (Popocatepetl means "smoking mountain"). It's been the capital of four "empires" (really! Mexican history is hilarious that way), and over 20 million people live there now (counting the surrounding areas). A mild volcano is the least of my worries, when there's crime, traffic, pollution, high cost of living, earthquakes, floods and corruption.

If you want something to worry about, there are at least three other nearby known volcanoes which haven't done much lately. One of them much closer to me. There are lots of mountains around, too. Any of them may be a volcano and no one's realized it yet.

I think the Wizard will see the humor here when he reflects on it. This whole thing is pretty funny.

It reminds me of a trailer I saw for a recent movie:

"Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy Join Forces in 'Rise of the Guardians'
The plot revolves around the Boogeyman, voiced by Jude Law and re-named Pitch, who aims to spread fear throughout the world. The Guardians join together and welcome in a new member in Chris Pine's Jack Frost as they attempt to protect the imagination and hopes of children all over the world."

Here, the "Wizard of Vegas" suspended a TA "Destination Expert" to save our souls.

Will the "Destination Expert" join forces with the likes of "Coupon Mama" and "About .com" guides in an attempt to deprive the Wizard of lucrative free shipping codes & useful tips about how to change the oil in his wizardmobile?

stay tuned

I doubt if he would get banned over there and even attempt to post over here, anyway. If he does, I'll ban him over here for the remainder of his ban there.

In the meantime, DMSCR is Suspended for Three Days for the following personal insult:

https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/tables/14959-turning-losers-into-winners/#post266168

EDIT: I'd like to make a correction, DMSCR already has a personal insult under his belt. That'll teach me to make assumptions based on the fact that someone doesn't even have fifty posts. The personal insult for which he was already Suspended was pretty harsh and he was given Seven Days for a first offense, thus, this one is Fourteen Days.

I was recently suspended for calling Ahigh an egomaniac, which I believe was an overreaction by the moderators. It is a legitimate description (From Wikipedia: "obsessive preoccupation with one's self and applies to someone who follows their own ungoverned impulses and is possessed by delusions of personal greatness and feels a lack of appreciation. Someone suffering from this extreme egocentric focus is an egomaniac") that I believe few if any would argue.

I won't gripe too much, though, because (1) I don't post often, so the suspension really isn't that big of a deal, (2) I was suspended for 3 days even though I called him an egomaniac twice and (3) I believe the moderators do a very good job of keeping order on this board and are generally pretty fair and level headed. Keep up the great work.

Gr8Player is banned for one week pursuant to a loose construance of Rule 5, "Do not post the same message more than once," and also a temporary nuclear option for deliberately ignoring an Administrator's request. The duration is Seven days.

Temporary nuclear option?

I'm gonna bomb you into the next life (for those who believe in such a thing) but you can come back in 7 days...
