If so, that might explain the negativity of your posts here.

This matter was taken under reconsideration by the moderators.

Posting personal information of the identities of other members is considered the most serious of rule violations.

Per the Martingale policy, Mdawg is suspended for two months.

How does a person that is suspended know they are suspended?

On the DT forum I no longer have the buttons to create a post or replay to a post. Does this mean I am suspended?

I posted the reason here at DT. Normally I probably wouldn't have suspended on that at DT, which has a looser standard for personal insults, but I got a complaint. If it makes you feel better, you were in DT jail with two others suspended at the same time. Hope there are not hard feelings; you are overall an outstanding and valuable member. When a complaint is filed, I have to either suspend or explain why I'm not, which I've learned with give the complainer the perceived right to misbehave to the same degree. We mods are put to tough calls all the time.

Currently DT does not have a suspension list, after seeing how it divides the forum here. However, one can also see the benefits of one as evidenced by this situation. Maybe I'll post a poll about it at DT.

I absolutely have no hard feelings. Maybe you could have something on the screen where the buttions were informing the person they were suspended. Like I said this is my first one and I wasn;t even sure if I was suspended.

gets hijacked or sidetracked about what got said or why did that happen or whatever. So this thread (and the old one) are intended to collect that discussion instead of ruining numerous threads. However, that is the sole purpose of THIS thread, and it, in turn, should be kept at least mostly to that topic.

I haven’t checked his thread for a while. What was he suspended for?

I know he was warned about divulging personal info of others...but that was a warning.

What caused his suspension?

It was a rare reversal, where we decided to change it from a warning to a suspension. He has been riding the Martingale policy, thus the long term.

I think it’s a zero tolerance policy as far as political posts are concerned. It doesn’t have to be an argumentative topic.

You stated that, “It means he can vote again. That's priceless.” This is not the same as stating that “the right to vote is priceless.” It could easily be interpreted that the fact that the prior convicted felon could now vote was a priceless turn of events.

Mendoza has been nuked for trolling. He contributes nothing to the forum other than to complain about how MDawg has been treated in suspiciously-fake bad English. While complaining about suspensions is allowed, in moderation, we define a troll as somebody whose primary purpose is to sow division and discord in the forum while contributing nothing positive. Mendoza is a textbook example of that.

I personally will take any heat for this one.

Yeah, I always thought it curious that Mendoza would show up whenever Mdawg got suspended. In fact, IIRC, he registered just 2 or 3 days into Mdawg's first suspension.

I also share Mike's skepticism about Mendoza's "bad English."

Very bad English is a common cover for anyone, could have been anyone who wouldn't want to have their name on something. Mdawg would be a favorite to be the sock, but not an overwhelming favorite. I couldn't even pass a quiz on whatever Mendoza or Mdawg posted about, so maybe it's more obvious than I think. I don't even disagree with the suspension of the account, just saying it's too easy to claim to know you KNOW whom it is.

No such thing as Chinese, I think it's political to be offended and not to say Chinese Virus.
Doesn't matter what you call it, but calling it the Chinese Virus isn't making this happen.
China has been used to having these problems, it was them who let the genie out of the bottle. We should be angry at China, so to be reminded of their greed as the cause of a worldwide pandemic is fine. The world will reduce their dependence on China, less we forget.

The irony is economic dependence prevents wars, kind of difficult to be at war when one country has the bullets and the other has the guns.

You see evidence right before your eyes about you and others being played and you are offended. The fact is, the virus came from China, China has blamed us, and it's not political to mention the fact, it's political how people are using nazi tactics to silence and hide this.

Is it political to even use the word American now? So if this was the American virus, then there would be the entire world beating up anyone of a different race because somehow they are American? American power, American business, American whatever, that's racist.

Pazuzu!

Anyone saying Chinese Virus is political is racist. There is no such thing as a Chinese race at all.
