Can we drop rehashing this here, please? A great deal of it was PM and private, and this serves no purpose other than to open old wounds and anger people with partial and vague references. I'd appreciate it.

I just happened to see the members list of people who logged on today. I have to admit, I got a really nice chuckle when I seen the following name in red....

Well that brings up an interesting question. What if someone's screen name here is Trump? Then anytime someone says something negative about Trump is that a suspension because Trump is a member in good standing here? How do you know when someone says Trump that they are not referring to the member of this form?

I don't know what got said that proved it was WoN. I didn't see anything that met the required standard of proof. However, it might have been deleted as a sockpuppet post.

The interesting thing is that at first "Donald J Trump," poster started off looking like a legitimate Newbie and then out of the blue insulted me in my Best And Worst Slot Types? " thread which was meant to be a fun thread. I was thinking,"Something isn't quite right here, because most legitimate Newbies don't start insulting older Members out of the blue." Given the animosity between WON and I, it comes to me as no surprise that "Donald J Trump," was WON.

The ban is for starting another thread with substantially the same subject matter as this one started a few weeks ago:

Which was also started by Nathan, contains 80% the same exact subject matter, roughly 50% the same verbiage and only went two pages. That’s Trolling/Flooding.
It’s pretty clear she felt that thread should have been better received, and rather than make a post adding to it, decided to try again.
Suspension List will be updated next time I’m at a proper computer.

Upon Nathans return, I suggest she be allowed to start ONE thread. She could call it Nathan's slot talk and keep all her slot related posts contained in that one thread.
I had to go back and edit everything to reflect that Nathan is a female.
The length of the Suspension will be reduced. What it will be reduced to is under discussion.

I don’t know if you read both threads, but the second thread is basically a somewhat altered version of one of the paragraphs in the first thread. Beyond that, it’s the same OP on the same subject in a period of three weeks.
We’d obviously never suspend just because two different people start a similar thread within a few weeks of one another. You’d assume the second person just didn’t see the first thread.
This is clearly a matter of Nathan being dissatisfied with the reception of the first thread, so trying it again. Should I let Nathan create a new version with a slightly edited paragraph of every thread she’s ever made every three weeks until the end of time?

Actually, at least the 4th. I deleted one very similar as duplicate back a month or more ago that had no responses, but I don't log such actions, so can't give a date.
People will always gripe and disagree about rules and their enforcement: it's like you're the parents and we're the children continuously testing the boundaries.
I brought it up with two other Admins who both agreed with the ban, but disagreed with the length. I pointed out about the Martingale thing, but then we all essentially acknowledged that someone with no previous bans likely would not have been banned in that specific instance. We acknowledge that this has been a repeat pattern for Nathan, so all of us agree that some sort of ban is necessary.
I offer my apologies to Nathan and anyone dissatisfied with the length of the initial ban. I was probably too harsh on that one.
