If someone lives too far from a casino, some of the casino offers are too difficult to follow up on. Do you consider some of the uses of player's cards that might be called "gray-area advantage play" , such as buying someone else's card to make better use of new player sign-up bonuses, to actually cross over into cheating in your view?

I think Heather and the Wizard have good chemistry together. Both shows were fun to watch.

Sadly, I'll be working so will have to settle with watching later at night. If, however, you'll accept early questions from site users in this situation...

In the Jeopardy! Greatest of All Time tournament:

1) The structure of the tournament was two games making up a match, with the total from the first game added to the total from the second to determine the match winner. Given this structure, should a player always wager everything in the first game's final Jeopardy!?

2) In match #4, the leader going into the second game's final Jeopardy wagered zero, opening himself up to be overtaken by the second place player. Was this his best strategy for final Jeopardy!? Assume that if the leader's self-perceived knowledge of the final category (Shakespeare Dramas) was 100, his perception of the second place player's knowledge was 98. Edit I was mistaken. The leader going into the second final could not be caught if he nearly doubled up. The second place player made the right move by not risking anything, since right or wrong, his fate depended on the first place player getting his response correct. The third place player was not a factor.

Regarding the Lottery
Is there a jackpot size "tipping point" in multi-state lotteries where it is more likely that the big prize will be split than there will be a single winner? If so, what is that amount?

Regarding the Super Bowl
If I want to bet a total of $100,000 on a single Super Bowl prop (e.g., No Safety), is it better to try to get all $100k down in a single wager at one book, or should I break it up into smaller wagers spread over time, hoping that the payouts change in my favor?

Good question. Here are the jackpot points where there is a 50/50 chance of at least one winner:

Powerball: $704 million
Mega Millions: $867 million

To answer your question, here are the jackpot points where multiple winners are more likely than one:

Powerball: $975 million
Mega Millions: $1.65 billion.

Please keep in mind there isn't much data for jackpots this big, so take these estimates with a grain of salt.

Regarding Cheating in Sports
Adam Hartung, a writer on the Forbes magazine site, stated that
Quote: Why Cheating in Sports is Prevalent---And We Can't Stop It

...Being at the top of any sport is worth 10 to 100 times as much as being second...

If you knew that taking a series of injections would improve your performance so that, with training, you could be the best in the world...

1) What sport would you "cheat" at?

2) What if the trade off was shortening your life... somewhere between 6 months and 2 years. How much would the reward need to be to make it worth it to you?

I think I would choose boxing. I wouldn't care if it took 20 years off my life.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Good question. I'll save it for the air, except to compliment you on your good memory. I love Tacos el Gordo. However, I draw the line at eating the brain tacos.

-- Any casinos with good Chinese New Year chips this year?

-- It's a Leap Year. If you were born on February 29, would you pick February 28 or March 1 as your birthday?

-- Big Game touts?... How's "No Safety" looking with this matchup?

-- How do you remember Kobe Bryant? A father of four girls, and a big proponent for opportunities for women in sports, particularly his support for the WNBA league. Or an accused rapist who was arrested in 2003, but didn't go to trial because the criminal charges were dropped due to the alleged victim's unwillingness to testify (silence encouraged perhaps by an undisclosed settlement)?

-- Is there a jackpot size/odds combination where you would switch from a "No winner" wager on a multi-state lottery, to "winner"?

Gazing into your crystal ball, how do you see the future of gambling in Vegas casinos a generation hence? Will it be filled with 6/5 blackjack, triple zero roulette and watered down pay tables now found only at the airport? Or, will increased competition from online gaming and the proliferation of brick-and-mortar casinos in other states reverse current trends?

How about parking and resort fees? In other words, will the rising costs for the privilege of gambling in Vegas eventually make it financially pointless for most future players to gamble in Vegas?

As a reminder the next Live Stream will be this Thursday at the usual time, 3:00. Please be patient if we don't get started right on the dot.

As usual, I happily accept questions here too.

Also, if anyone would like to volunteer, it would be great to get a list of about the top 10-15 topics discussed, for purposes of the detailed video description. Thank you.

Wizard, on one hand you are a respected mathematician and known scientific skeptic; on the other hand you love attending Burning Man which is a festival brimming with New Age mysticism and pseudoscience such as crystal healing, astrology and pyramid power. How do you reconcile this yin and yang in your personality?

I would not describe Burning Man in that way. I saw quite a few people doing tarot card and palm readings, but I file that under entertainment value. Maybe I didn't go looking for that, but new age mysticism is not the purpose of Burning Man.

As a person who has gambled in Macau, what are your thoughts on the situation there including the unprecedented closing of every casino?

On an earlier stream you expressed interest in Andrew Yang's presidential run. Any closing thoughts now that he has dropped out of the race?

Should the Superbowl be moved to Saturday?

If you could replace a holiday, which would go, and what new one would you put on the calendar?

Which new casino do you think you’ll like more, the Circa downtown or the Resorts World property on the Strip?

It seemed as if the Wiz created a new portmanteau: flimsical, combining flimsy and whimsical in regard to Bitcoin.

But not unexpected, it’s already on the interwebs including Urban Dictionary. Except I don’t agree with the Web’s definitions.

Questions for the 2-27-20 Live Stream
Of all the games that you yourself have designed, which one is your favorite?

As a slot designer, do you think that the continued use of card symbols (10, J, Q, K, A) on the reels is lazy design that detracts from a game's theming, or do you consider them to be traditional symbols that give players a standard point of reference while the top symbols handle the theming?

When explaining the birthday paradox, do people born on February 29th screw up the math?

How do you think the universe will end? Big freeze? Big crunch? Big slurp? Other?

how are the plans for your online "casino 99" going?
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

I am sorry everybody, but there was some miscommunication with Heather and we're not doing a Live Stream today. March 5 almost for sure.
