*talk about your involvement in the background with various AP situations, such as Ocean Magic. At least how you knew about it and perhaps other situations before the public generally

*what is your take on the new video evidence about UFOs that the Navy is releasing to the public?

Thank you for addressing my questions Wizard. I thought the conversation and debate was very interesting. While I can see Heather's point, that a player asking the casino to use cards with a specific back design, and asking the dealer to manipulate the orientation of the cards in the shoe so that his team could take advantage of a defect in the back design, was "marking", I look at it more as the player using information available to them within the rules of the wager in order to size their bet. The responsibility for agreeing to use cards that were not exactly the same on the back is on the casino, not the player.

Experts disagree with your earthquake advice. The best thing to do if the ground starts shaking is: "Drop, Cover, and Hold On". Trying to run to a doorway or outside actually causes more injuries due to falls, and being hit by falling or flying debris. Check out the Earthquake Country Alliance website for details.

Myth #5: Don’t be fooled!

“HEAD FOR THE DOORWAY.”

An enduring earthquake image of California is a collapsed adobe home with the door frame as the only standing part. From this came our belief that a doorway is the safest place to be during an earthquake. True- if you live in an old, unreinforced adobe house. In modern houses, doorways are no stronger than any other part of the house. You are safer under a table

I think Heather and I are at an impasse on that topic. As I said on the show, it comes down to the definition of the word "mark."

I guess I stand corrected. I'll do some research and issue a correction the next show if I conclude I was wrong. After the earthquakes here, I know I saw something on TV that gave the advice I did.

Here's a video from a classroom during the Loma Prieta quake in 1989. Note that the majority of the folks who tried to run either got stuck at the door, fell over furniture or other people, or were hit by debris falling from the ceiling. If you think about it, there aren't enough doorways, nor enough space in doorways for everyone. Also, you run the risk of getting your fingers pinched off when the swinging door slams shut.

I thought Heather dug in a little too much*, but they say to take opposite sides makes good entertainment for shows, while both agreeing on everything is boring. She seemed to miss the point on the Zombie thing. Yes you should destroy something out to eat your brains, but I am uncomfortable with enjoying knocking off something that is human-like. In fact most hunters agree there is a limited amount of joy to take from killing per se, no matter how much you like hunting as a whole, or it is perverse.

Regarding the Phil Ivy thing, she seems like a dealer who "drank the koolaid" , the same batch Paigowdan slurped. That might mean she would also take the opposite side on hole-carding . That would make a good segment!

*in a very womanish way, making me wonder what she would be like to be married to

Geez, a 5 p.m. class?! I was already chilling in my apartment, ready to watch some baseball!

But yeah, better to get under a table or desk. Those people could easily have tripped and gotten trampled.

One needs to take under advisement whether getting hurt in a stampede might be a factor, like in that classroom. The baby was probably right to get under a car.

Heather has strong opinions on things that are difficult to dislodge. Regarding zombies, I think she had a bad mental image of them, like this one.

As evidence to my side that not all zombies are a brain-eating threat, consider the Thriller video. Even in the nightmare portion, they were darn good dancers. As seen after the awakening from the nightmare, they can still function secretly in society quite well. In fact, I suspect odiousgambit may be a zombie.

p.s. Look carefully at the zombie on the right side of the screen at the 11:40 point. I think that may be a reference to Tor Johnson (see above image) from Plan 9 from Outer Space.

I've been pondering this shocking claim for quite a while now. Instead I expected by now someone here would claim I was a vampire, but perhaps you know that has been discredited since people have been saying that for 800 years now, sheesh.

The date of the next Live Stream will be Aug 29. I should be at Burning Man on that day, but, alas, it's not my year.

Maybe dress the set in a Burning Man theme? Burning Man costumes?

I'd like to see an attempt at a quarter catch record "live".

What's the largest amount of money you have ever risked on a single wager?

Should the legal age for gambling be lowered to 18?

What's the latest regarding the self driving bus that was testing downtown some time ago?

Can you talk about the odds and process for political betting and how the odds/probability are calculated?

I have tried to do some reading on it, and I do not fully understand it, because it seems like there are a lot of unknown variables?

There are some clear indicators for elections of individuals (such as incumbency, demographics of the eligible voters for that election etc....), but for other elections (and even the ones I mentioned), it seems like there is a lot of obscurity?

And, there are other more obscure bets, such as Brexit dates, possibility for random referendums, etc.... How are these possibilities calculated?

- How would you improve the ticketing process for Burning Man?

- If you could organize an alternative to Burning Man, what parts would you keep, and what parts would you change?

- Would you rather... Have your swimming pool filled with grasshoppers, or have a spider crawl in your ear while you were sleeping?

I would guess since you own the business you are probably still at the office at 6pm.

You are the boss, and you have computers at the office, what is the problem?

How did you pick where you will be on 4/8/24? I seem to recall somewhere in TX.

My home is located within the totality path -- looks as though I'll get ~3:49 duration of totality.

Will the bright lights of city living effect my experience in any way?

Thoughts?

I don't know why it appeared shiny in the video. It's a simple cotton shirt.

My only trip to Lake Powell was around 2002, and renting a houseboat was an amazing experience! My question: How's the water level now?

"Baby Shark" is a fun song for people with kids—it's probably hated by some people merely because it's popular.

I was recently in Austin Texas and my Uber driver was from Venezuela. we had about a 20 minute conversation about Venezuela and their politics and economy. My only real take was that the airport in Austin is quite a ways outside of the city.

Contrary to what I said in the last Stream, there won't be one today. Oct 24 shall be the next one. Thanks for asking!

Reminder that Heather and I will be doing another Live Stream this Thursday. This will be a special Halloween episode!

As FrWizard, I will be hearing confessions and offering advice on moral dilemmas. If you can't make it live, you may leave your questions/confessions here or PM me. I am happy to make them anonymous.

Go in peace.
