I would call Bob Narsessian if you plan to sue. He has a proven track record based on what I heard from GWAE.
I find that a week is just not enough time for me to do everything there is in Vegas. Moving there will give me more then enough time to leave a winner by the time I get old or move.

Yep, so glad I went this month and burned off ~420k LP. But this most recent change doesn't affect me since I only used 2 awards each on my and my g/f's account though, and we have ~50k LP each left over. I wasn't totally thrilled that I got boned on some price increases when I purchased some rewards, but with what has happened this month, I feel like a genius for making this trip when I did. What really bites is hotel stays are only single nights now and most charge the resort fee...lol
People shouldn't be surprised by this one bit though. Give it another six months, and this game will either be completely gone, or loyalty points will become so worthless, anyone who hasn't redeemed any points will be kicking themselves in the ass.

Oh, now I see what all the buzz was about. I thought you could only purchase 3 rewards in any 30 days, but what I read said you can only "redeem", ie use 3 rewards in any 30 days.

So now it looks like I have 83K loyalty points I was planninig to use on my next trip that I won't be able to use on my next trip. myConclusion is that myVegas is a victim of its own success, and that this Advantage Play was being taken advantage of !

My plan now is to open a second FB account using my wife and to accumulate points there.
Now my plan will be to gamble and spend at CZR and simple use the LP for show tickets and meals. Now that the show tickets are reduced now to one ticket per redemption, I plan to use 2 of our 8 redemptions on show tickets, 2 more on meals for two, and 4 more on meals for one.
But I expect the deals to be reduced even further in the coming months.

I have 350.000 LP points and have never redeemed a single point. If its not too much trouble could you provide a brief summary of the redemption process. In particular what happens after you choose? mail you a voucher? What happens at check in you present voucher? I'm curious because I'm the kind of person if its the slightest bit time consuming/pain in the ass I wont do it.

I just got confirmation numbers for rooms and show tickets; show tickets you have to pick up at will call. They might email you vouchers for other stuff, but I think for other stuff you have to go to the MLife desk first. The redemption process was surprisingly smooth and quite painless.

I dunno about that. I booked some comp rooms at Luxor (not through myvegas) and they told me I have to pay. It seems to be a Mlife thing. I had to fight for the mgm one, by saying other properties don't charge resort fees for their comp rooms, and I was a Pearl member. I hate doing this because it makes me sound like an ahole but its true.

Bad wording. I meant that you will have to pay the resort fee when using a MyVegas award now. But the room awards that were offered before May, you did NOT have to pay the resort fee. And if I got a corporate offer from MGM for a "free room", hell ya they'll make me pay a resort fee. I'm only sapphire.

I have to admit I'm low on motivation to play, given the ongoing deterioration of rewards.
Meanwhile I've been keeping an eye on the webPASS program, offered by the two Cannery casinos. webPASS awards points primarily for clicking links within the site. Rewards include the usual dining and hotel, but also free slot play.
For a while, Cannery seemed to follow the myVegas model of rationing rewards, meaning the good stuff was sold out nearly always.
Now, they've adjusted by adding an extra layer of requirements to earn free slot play.
Example: if you have 75,000 points, you can redeem for a $25 dining voucher (limited to one per month), assuming it isn't sold out.
Or you can redeem 75,000 points for $25 free slot play, but you must also earn 2500 "base points" in the casino, equivalent to $2,500 coin-in on slots, or $5,000 on video poker.
That's somewhat harsh, but I assume MGM must have considered the possibility of imposing casino play requirements for myVegas rewards. Probably not a good thing, but it would depend on the details.

I am trying to get enough to exchange the BEATLES LOVE tix I have coming for O at the Bellagio, and unless things change AGAIN, that should not be an issue between now and the end of July.
As far as the deterioration is concerned, yes you are right, but this is still the best free deal I am currently aware of, because I don't think I qualify as a new member at any place that is currently doing a slot loss rebate. So, hopefully we will end up seeing Terry Fator, Zarkana (both already reserved) and O. And that's a lot more than I normally see on any given trip. (I've seen KA and MYSTERE in the past, and the Mrs has also seen THE LION KING and ELTON JOHN a few years ago).

I would recommend that if you can swing it. LOVE was alright, but if I was drunk or high at the time, I'd probably enjoy it more. "O" was awesome. The only mistake I made with that was that was the first Cirque show my g/f and I went to, so I expect future shows to not live up to it.

I would agree, maybe for slow periods and during the week. And maybe for just say Circus Circus? Marketing may decide that if they smack you for a resort fee then the marginal cost of an otherwise empty room has been covered and anything you spend is found revenue.
I was just thinking about it and they should offer chips for freeplay. Maybe something like 100k loyalty points per $20 or something like that.

Circus Circus resort fee is only $9.95/night at least. Since the place is about as good as Quad, that seems about right.

Resort fees don't bother me too much if I can score a free room. Only problem is why are they scaled so horribly the higher quality the hotel is? Of course the answer is greed and the willingness of people paying...
One problem Myvegas has is like MMOs with inefficient money sinks. The chips and rewards suffer from great inflation and they will have to keep adjusting redemption points higher and higher to match their "true" rate. There are enough ploppies to subsidize the game but over time people will have so many loyalty points saved from the leftovers of 3 rewards per 30 day period they don't have an incentive to play and coast on their surpluses.

Yes, you are capped at 7,500 LP from gameplay. You can still gain by leveling, the daily spin, or harvesting. Also, you won't start gaining again until 24 hours from your first game yesterday.
