So I go on this time share presentation with Wyndham with the lure of get $325 in gaming promos to gamble with. $200 of that I got as (2) $100 Casino Royale Promotional Gaming Certificates. Going into it I knew it was supposed to be used on special promo machines. But boy, I had no idea how special these machines were, lol (and NOT in a good way).

So basically you enter the $100 certificate in one of their promo machines that is basically one of sixteen machines to choose from. The thing is they are all the super old single-line play slot machines and the ONLY way to convert this $100 certificate into cash is to get lucky enough to hit 3 in a row of their top symbol on that particular machine (so 3 “Five Times Pay” or 3 “Sizzling 7 Times Pay” symbols. You can earn extra credits for lining any other of their symbol combinations but either you hit all 3 of their top symbols on a single spin or you walk away with $0.

Ummmmmm... no bueno. Luckily I have (5) $25 slot vouchers I can use at Harrah’s (or a couple other Caesar’s properties) that I can turn into cash after playing the required amount of spins to play through the promo credits, but can I say... WHAT A RIPOFF! I literally paid a mandatory non-refundable $50 (cash only) for the $325 in promo play. But if the (2) $100 Casino Royale certificates pay me $0 (I already went through one of them and I got nothing), but I basically paid $50 for the $125 Caesar’s promo credits, so if I’m lucky enough to turn those into $62.50 cash (estimate at 50% cash value) I really went through all that to hope to make a $12.50 profit. Boooooooooooo.... 👎🏻

Anyway, potential timeshare tour signees beware. I took one for the team.

Also, as a side question...

I still have my other $100 Casino Royale certificate to play. I notice the payout is different on a couple of the machines, so my question is... if the payout is lower on one machine than the other for 3 highest symbols on a line does that mean they pay less cause it’s easier (odds-wise) to win? If so I’m going to play that machine instead with my last certificate.

P.S. As a nice little “bonus” I just came across one of these promo machines where someone didn’t understand the concept of this promo play and apparently left their promo credits in the machine after one spin. Lucky me. I’m going to play through the rest of his credits. Wish me luck.

I almost got lured into one of these timeshare pitches. Can't remember if it was Wyndham or not, but they had a booth set up in the Flamingo lobby. The more the woman tried to sell me on it, the more my Spidey sense started tingling, so I eventually just said, "Sorry, I'm not interested," and walked away.

Them: Will you be here tomorrow?
Me: no

Them: Where are you from?
Me: I'm local

Them: Do you like shows?
Me: no

I've never been to a timeshare presentation, and it sounds like the worst way to spend a day.
I heart Crystal Math.

They used to give you televisions and computers to show up, at least in Florida. Now they give you stuff that costs them nothing, like rooms in their time share for a couple nights. My parents used to do them for the amusement factor and the tv.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Yeah unfortunately these Casino Royale promo machines have a terrible return afaik. We ran through $50 of that promo money once years ago and got nothing.

And at least they let you use it I guess. The expiration on the voucher is 1/31/2019. Hope they didn't give you expired CET vouchers too because those have decent value.

It's boring and tedious, but you should be able to grind out 90% in cash at least if you played 5 hands of 6/5 Bonus penny poker at 5 cents a line.

that is all you got for the time share? That is a terrible return. You should have been able to get those, 2 tickets to a show, 2 buffet tickets, and a return trip to vegas.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed. I AM NOT PART OF GWAE RADIO SHOW
