That's how I usually play. I wake up around 3AM, play, and go back to bed. Playing half asleep has not helped me either, but I think I'm addicted.

It's the only other online game I play. It's coffee golf app. But it awards the same thing. 5 hole golf, (actually takes less than drinking a cup a coffee in time.)

Yesterday's Connections had me look up the word "demonym" on the Merriam-Webster website, and apparently many others did, too. I noticed that the top lookups yesterday afternoon were mostly words from Connections.

Interestingly, two words were "mer" and "mar," which are in today's game. How did people have early access? From across the dateline?

I still haven't gotten any groups in today's puzzle! I thought one of the categories was palindromes, but I was wrong.

I was correct about the palindromes!!! I just didn't notice that there were FIVE of them! Interestingly, I solved connections after two alcoholic beverages: an 8% alcohol Czech beer, and a shot of Uncle Nearest bourbon! There's a theory that people perform better at things, like playing Centipede, after one or two drinks, but worst after several. Good night!
