Today I decided to choose a random starting word, and the first suitable five-letter word I found scrolling through my phone apps was MOVIE. I couldn't think of anything this morning, so I decided to come back later � determined to get this in 2.

It took me maybe 15 minutes of going through letter combos to get it. Twice I almost screwed up because I forgot to use the E!

I retrospect, I feel dumb for not figuring it out faster. I should know by now that the answer is usually a common word. What other word has E VI??

MOTOR is a past answer. I played later than usual, starting after 8 AM GMT, which is when the Past Wordle Answer page is supposedly updated, and so I didn't look, fearing I'd spoil the puzzle. Turns out the page was NOT updated as scheduled.
