I'm willing to do this, I think Keen and Mikey would as well(have to ask them). I never heard of this. Torghatten guy so not sure About him.Quote: SOOPOOQuote: RomesThe Wiz posted the teams in the other thread for keeping teams/rules/scores straight. Here's the teams:
Team Players 1 Torghatten, AxelWolf, Mikey75, Keeneone, Dummy 1 2 Jufo81, SM777, gordonm888, PlayYourCardsRight, Romes 3 DJTeddyBear, PokerGrinder, Dalex64, GWAE, billryan 4 Nathan, troopscott, onenickelmiracle, Nathan, OnceDear 5 Joeman, MidwestAP, beachbumbabs, Face, UKMark 6 RS, miplet, SOOPOO, Dummy 2, Jmarch79 7 gamerfreak, GWAE, JohnnyQ, MaxPen, djatc 8 Ayecarumba, Boz, HeyMrDJ, prozema, sodawater
Team #2, FYI I'm voting share, every round, unless specified differently by the entire group/team.
i am requesting Torghatten, AxelWolf, Mikey75, Keeneone, and Dummy 1 to vote share. I am requesting all others to vote steal.
Soopoo is the king
Each round he names a team to share
All other teams steal.
One person on team share makes sure that happens.
If we all execute, we empty the wizards wallet.
Does someone on each team want to take point on sending private messages to their team?

Axel... You have goons on staff, right?
Quote: billryanI'm sorry, but I'm not getting this game. Mike makes teams, someone tells everyone what to do. What's the point?
in my humble opinion the point of this game is to beat the game. In my opinion the way to beat this game is to take as much money out of the Wizards wallet as possible. That requires cooperation among teams.
Quote: billryanI'm sorry, but I'm not getting this game. Mike makes teams, someone tells everyone what to do. What's the point?
This is just round 1. Mike has the advantage of seeing who does what privately, including who lies about what they did. He also reserves the right to change team members and change the rules in subsequent rounds. None of that will be available to individuals ahead of time, and individual votes will not be revealed.
SOOPOO is providing optimal strategy for the rules as they are now, with the objective of the group collectively getting the maximum amount from Mike. Collusion is allowed, as is strategy, so agreeing from the start that all players will share in any money won should maximize money received.
All share would, in theory, allow maximum money won among all. However, it would only take part of one team to go rogue, screw the others and take all the money.
All but 1 team steal, otoh, with an agreement in place, would do the same thing, but only require the 1 SHARE team to vote share. They should want to, because if they also vote STEAL, they will lose the money along with everyone else.
Strategy could change with the rules, but this.would be best for now. So for this round, at least, I'm voting STEAL, as should everyone except.the players on team 1 (only because they've already been asked to do it this round).
Hope that helps.
Quote: prozemaDo we know that the number of rounds will be divisible by 8? That would be the weakest part of the soopoo strategy.
I thought about that too, but if we pool together all the winnings like last time, it won’t be a problem.
Quote: prozemaDo we know that the number of rounds will be divisible by 8? That would be the weakest part of the soopoo strategy.
No, we don't. Mike has not agreed on any round numbers. However, as long as 1 team does SHARE, they are contributing just as much to the success of the strategy as any STEAL team. So if we agree from the beginning that we will all split the total pool, it doesn't matter how many rounds.
Guys like MR.V (not sure if thats still the case) and a few other's I believe this to be the case as well.
I'm requesting that anyone who's joined this game make sure they have their PM' s turned on for the duration of the game.
Thanks.
Quote: AyecarumbaIsn't having everyone vote "share" the best case for all the players? Based on the last time, the prizes are probably not going to be equal each round.
It is. I just don't believe it will happen. Having one team lose each round is the next best option, and is much less reliant on trust.
Quote: troopscottI am voting rouge each week. Takes the fun out of it by collusion. However I do agree to pooling all wins each week for something. I would also be so inclined to say each player chip in $3 a week to boost whatever is done with the pooled money
Winning is fun.
Your post makes little sense to me, but perhaps that is the point...

2. Axel does not have two votes. He is not a team captain. Being team captain is like having an extra vote in the event of a tie.
Oh, Mr. Wizard, seriously? Reread the post and you will clearly see that he was calling me a dummy.
Dummy player=Axel who gets 2 votes.=Axel, is a dummy... see where I'm going?
You can also tell by the people who liked his post. I'm all Butt certain, they are all his buddies.
Ad hominem attack. 3 days for him???
I also expect that Wizard will change the rules after 1 or 2 rounds if we do this. We'll need to deal with that when it happens.
Quote: billryanCan I simply state that for this round, I agree to go along with whatever my team decides?
Yup... We will be like ninjas. He will never see us coming. I'm voting now.

A modest proposal.
If someone accuses a member of an offense and the mods think it is nonsense, said person gets double the sentence he asked for.
Quote: prozemaWe can't suspended wizard now. He has to change the rules in a couple of days.
Why? Does he still think he is in control?
As soon as you start trusting Trump with the same kind of power I will consider that proposal.Quote: billryanA modest proposal.

Ya, I hear ya, should have said 2 weeks. 3 days is just my go-to suggestion.Quote: GWAEHas married life made you soft? ;-)

How long did the last Coop game last from start to finish?
Quote: KeeneoneSOOPOO's strategy sounds good to me. I agree to pool winnings and later parlay any winnings at the end. I will send in my share vote this afternoon.

I also agree to Soopoo's proposed strategy, especially if we can get near universal agreement. I also agree to pooling my winnings if we do take that route. However, at the end of play, I'd want to take my winnings from the pool, rather than having them in some common parlay after the event.
I took my winning last time( I didn't have faith in the investor) I don't know what I did specifically with the money(Probably made some side bets with Mike)Quote: OnceDearI also agree to Soopoo's proposed strategy, especially if we can get near universal agreement. but we did some nice action down on the good parlays that wonderful week.
It will be nearly impossible to have 40 people agree to a parlay or split at the end. I think the cooperation part may happen but at the end the split part may be a different story.
Quote: NathanI choose "Steal," :)
I hope you mean "chose" and not "choose." Votes will not be accepted in public, only by PM. One is allowed to lie about their true vote and I will not out them.
I'd like to close voting for round 1 at 8:00 AM, Pacific time, Monday morning, July 2.
As a reminder, anybody who doesn't vote in the first round risks being cut from the game.

King SOOPOO might be away from his computer because of Rhine River cruise, although the upscale boat says it has free Wi-Fi for the 10k I'm paying..... But I have already laid out the specific plan.... Team 2 will vote share in round 2..... team 3 will vote share in round 3...... We will see how long this easily put together boring exercise will be funded by Mike....

If we were talking about a business that might involve millions of dollars, I would agree with you. But We are talking about a FEW dollars per person. The amount of money we are talking about is so insignificant as that anyone willing to be unethical or actually care about the final disposition is pathetic. Mike has put up around 20 cents a person in round one. We are not talking significant dough. In the event none of the long timers involved (GWAE, Axel, Romes, etc...) does not want to hold the few hundred dollars and make a final bet and distribute winnings I'd be willing to do so. I have street cred here.....

I'd like you to re think this. For full disclosure, that is what I did last time. It didn't feel as good as being with the group on their bets, even though I walked away with a few dollars and the group got none.
Reason to rethink..... do you really want Mike to send you $8.57? Really? Join the group!
Quote: billryanAnyone who says he has street cred doesn't.
Wrong. I am aware of the respect I have from the majority of long term posters, as regards to my paying off debts here.

Apart from this game, I am happy to vouch for Soopoo.
I would have no problem trusting him to handle sums much larger than will be generated by the winners of this game.
Within the game, I want folks to know that I am not participating in the universal pool. Any winnings I collect will be all mine.

Yes and no. Last time I walked away with $15... Parlayed it up to $25 and drank to Mike's good health.Quote: SOOPOOI'd like you to re think this. For full disclosure, that is what I did last time.
