I make it about 50/50 that you end up keeping all $200.

When we get to the later Rounds, if I'm paired up with some people who have not yet stolen, then we'll see.
I've already put myself out there, and Raleigh has as well. Splitting is the way to go. Unfortunately, someone needs to take out Mission146. We appreciate your sacrifice FinsRule. You're heroic action will be remembered in the songs, and stories we share in the mead hall for generations.
Of course, by examining the entrants list and survivors list, it would probably be easy to figure out, but...

Not easy: deterministic. Either you both advance, one advances, or no one advances. In every case, you know who picked what. Since someone is going to be tracking it, why not just make it public? You would be fooling yourself if you thought you could hide that info.

The conversations leading up to the decision are what I find interesting. It is too bad that we cannot reveal what has been shared via PM. Maybe after the whole thing is done, we can agree to publish and dissect.

For the sharing teams in round 2, the player listed first was randomly chosen to be the team leader. Only that player may submit the team response, but is encouraged to consider the wishes of the other player.
Deadline to sumbit round 2 responses shall be 8:00 AM, Thursday, Nov 15, Pacific time.
So, if I am reading this right, 10 of the original 16 'teams' are still alive.
I am assuming TIMSPEED's SPLIT vote won him the whole share since his foe did not vote.

So, now my share to charity is now worth $10. Once again, I will be voting split, since $10 to charity is better than $0. And once again, may I remind my fellow players that STEALing from me, is like stealing money from a charity.

Can the PMing option be overided if both parties agree beforehand that their respective choices be selected randomly instead? i.e. can both parties pick thier balls (excuse the expression) without looking at the contents first?

No. I will only accept share and steal choices. If you choose randomly on your own end that is fine. It makes no difference to me how the choice is made, although I prefer an end with two steals so I can keep my money.
