Quote: RSI don't understand why the libs think requiring ID to vote is racist. If they think it's because the blacks and Mexicans and other minorities are too poor to get an ID or something like that, then they are, themselves, racists.
So all the research that shows that minorities do not have state issued id in the same proportion as white citizens are nonsense?
First of many such nonsensical claims, I suspect.
Quote: billryanTrump has filed a suit here in Vegas, claiming the decision to leave the polls open to accommodate voters after 8pm was illegal, even though it's tradition that anyone on line at closing can vote.
I just voted here in Michigan.
While waiting in line, I saw there was a "Voters' Rights" sign on the wall that specifically said if you are in line when the polls close, you are allowed to vote.
Quote: MathExtremistIf this estimate is even remotely accurate and carries through the day, the race might be called by early evening. I don't think anyone believes Trump can win without Florida
I'd rather they not call the race early, because of all the disgruntled are disgruntled enough already.

Quote: NRS 293.305 Closing of polls; admission of voters and other persons.
1. If at the hour of closing the polls there are any registered voters waiting to vote, the doors of the polling place must be closed after all such voters have been admitted to the polling place. Voting must continue until those voters have voted.
I, for one, think Florida and NC and Ohio will be very close so it will not be an early call.

But that doesn't make it wrong.
They might. None of WA, OR, CA is in doubt for Hillary. If VoteCastr's trends turn out to be accurate, it will be a very quick evening. All seven of the states they're tracking (FL, PA, OH, IA, WI, NH, NV) are currently in Hillary's column, and that means Trump wouldn't even crack 200 EVs -- a bigger win than Obama had over Romney. We'll see very, very soon...Quote: ams288The earliest the networks will call it is 11pm EST, when California's polls close. Very interesting!
That explains why I've heard so many NY-based media people on TV say "on line" these past few days.
Quote: RonCI am not making predictions, but it is obvious that the polls show that Hillary will win the election. It doesn't exactly make me jump with joy, but we will move on from here and deal with however she governs if that is the case.
I am kind of sad that all those celebrities will not have to carry out their threat to leave the country...I was rather interested in seeing them squirm when asked why they did not keep their promises to get out of town. Such threats are just stupid, and the media paying any attention to them is even more stupid. Heck, countries with enforced immigration regulations might not even let them in!!
I like Bruce Springsteen's music (and many other celebs) but I don't care how he votes; who any celeb votes for is one of the dumbest reasons anyone could ever give for voting for a particular candidate.

Something can be both true and racist. I don't know if the research you're talking about is accurate or not and I'm not disputing it. There may be other reasons why someone doesn't have an ID.
I just think it's a bit ridiculous that liberals would claim "blacks are better than Asians at football" or "whites are better than blacks at hockey/swimming" is racist......but then think it's not racist to say "blacks/Mexicans/minorities don't have an ID because they're poor".
(IMO, if it's true it isn't racist. Liberals only think something is racist if it's making someone else look bad, but think it's not racist if it benefits them.)

Trump and his people know that
They are claiming people that got in line after the deadline were allowed to vote
Its probably going nowhere because I don't think they have any evidence.

Do you like their model for obtaining results?
That is different from liking the results from their model....
I switched to a Nevada ID recently, and was convinced voter IDs are bad. It was a YUGE pain. They wanted a birth certificate or passport, which a lot of people don't have laying around, official mail addressed to me (also, not likely to be laying around if, say, you rent a room in someone else's house) and some other stuff. And it cost $40.
Basically, you have to pick your poison. Either make it too easy to obtain an ID, or let people vote without them.
It'd be nice if those numbers were real, but I'm skeptical.
They had Jill Stein at 1.7% in NV earlier... (Jill Stein isn't on the ballot in NV).
Quote: RigondeauxTwo Florida poll workers have been escorted from their jobs by the police. See some claims on Twitter that Trump's got Florida, though I don't have time to see how credible they are. Hang on to your hats!

I don't know the source of the info you cited. But if I have to make a guess ... it must be from WoV's MaxPen.
Vote fraud is a fantasy made up by certain insecure group of the electorate, namely the GOP.

Okay, how about this: "No Blacks allowed." Was a true statement, but racist.
I would just note, it's not always that simple.

Just looking at what comes up when you search "Florida" on Twitter. The story about the poll workers was reported by CNN.
More recent reports say it was just a physical altercation, nothing to do with tampering.

Quote: rxwineTonight I'm tuning into Fox News.
I am not sure how big of a deal it will be if Hillary wins (as predicted). Most of them were already saying that was the likely conclusion last night, at least in the hour or two I watched. I don't think that someone will have a little white board and go nuts. It is clear that they favor Trump on most shows, but they were not pushing the victory narrative last night.

I'm not sure. It sounds decent in theory but I'll have to see whether it's accurate in practice. Of course, we won't know that until later tonight. But as a measurement exercise, it's a worthwhile one to tackle. In many respects, it's not unlike tracking bets at a table game. It's easy to do for electronic systems with transactional auditing but for felt table games, you have to eyeball it during the day and then count the till at the end of the night. Several companies have tried electronic systems for chip tracking but it was never cost effective. We could enable real-time transactional auditing of elections too -- many voting sites use electronic machines rather than paper ballots, and even paper can be scanned and tallied in real-time -- but I don't see that happening at any point in the near future.Quote: RonCDo you like their model for obtaining results?
