If you have the chance and head out and experience a baccarat table in say at the MGM Grand, Palazzo and the Wynn, you will know what I mean. Especially at the Wynn/Encore.

That doesn't tell me much. The rules are the same I assume? Perhaps the food on offer in the high limit rooms are special? Good dealers? Don't get your point. Winning is also important!

The drawing rules are the same but......

Well for one depending on the supervisor he/she will asks you if you want to have a new shoe if things are not going well in the high limit area. This also can happen if the shoe is great and you want to keep your profits. Not all Vegas casino do this but the ones I mentioned will. That is great customer service. You will definitely not find something like this especially in Atlantic City.

If this kind of service carries over to Wynn Everett you will be one hell of a loyal customer.

Baccarat isn't my game, but I had thought I read many places that each hand is independent of the last one, sort of like roulette or craps? So what does the shoe have to do with anything other than superstition or? Thanks.

That's awesome. Good to know baccarat is not your game. Then you don't need to worry about it. You just got out of tangent. LOL.

The earliest that Wynn is predicted to open is the fall of 2017. That old Monsanto plant and the 30 acres that it sits on must be decontaminated to the tune of $30 million, a mere drop in the bucket for a $1.6 billion project. Special precautions must be taken because it sits on the Mystic river.

MGM Springfield is breaking ground this spring and is also looking at 2017. They are in the process of securing excavation permits and closing on land purchases. This project comes in at $800 million.

The third license has not been awarded but could involve Foxwoods. Operators didn't want to commit until after the referendum.

The Mashpee Wampanoag tribe has reached an agreement with the state and has proposed a $500 million resort casino on 150 acres in Taunton but still needs federal approval to take the land in trust.

The Aquinnah Wampanoags are attempting to build a gambling hall on Martha's Vineyard with electronic betting machines but the state says that they forfeited their rights.

As the Connecticut casinos continue to quake in their boots, the ever resourceful tribes have come up with a plan. There is talk of a joint effort between Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods to build a casino near the Massachusetts border to thwart MGM Springfield. They say it could be up and running somewhere in the I-91 corridor before MGM is built.

Yikes! What about the land, is it available and eligible? Licensing? Seems like there'd be lots of red tape before breaking ground.

Scientists noticed a drift in gamblers population. They are moving up with the final destination at North Pole. Once there, they can feed themselves on raw fish during winter month and in summer their prime food will become seal's fat.

Good philanthropists that they are, the casinos are pitching it as a way to help the state keep the money within it's borders. It's all about the state. Who knew? :-)

As long as one tribe doesn't gain an advantage over the other, there may not be as much red tape as one would think. It's amazing what the state can do when properly motivated.
