First of all I never let my cats outside. Secondly the cat in the picture is extremely rare and if he was mine you would have seen him a hundred times before now. That's an example of a purebred cat and I'm sure cost the owner a lot of money. Can you imagine an entire litter of cats like that? How cute they must be when they're 6 or 8 weeks old.

Outdoor cats have a lifespan about half that of indoor cats. If you have multiple cats like I do it's just a disaster to let a couple of them go outside because they bring back all kinds of things like fleas, communicable diseases, things you don't want healthy cats exposed to. Plus cats you let outdoors also have a tendency to run away. Indoor cats don't miss it because they're very territorial and their territories inside the house where they feel safe. I could hold my back door open for 5 minutes and not a single cat would go outside because they don't know what it is they've never been out there. I learned the hard way the indoor cats remain indoors. And it's funny occasionally a cat will get out accidentally and when I catch him and put him back in the house for a few days he'll try to get out again because they're constantly curious. But after three or four days they totally forget about it. They have very short memory spans.
Inhave no doubt there are good reasons. But, dont you have like 50-100 cats or some Sh$t?Quote: EvenBobQuote: AxelWolfI have no words.Quote: EvenBobQuote: DRichQuote: EvenBob

I know cats well. When I was in my teens I lived with someone for a short while who had 10-15 cats that lived indoors and outdoors. It was the most disgusting thing ever. Hair, sh$t, and spraying everywhere. I don't care how well someone keeps up with the mess, when you have groups of cats living together in a house it's impossible to avoid all that. They will piss on your clothing just for kicks, especially leather, that's like cat nip to them. Luckily there was a separate office building, laundry room, and shower where I was able to keep my clothing and shower. however, others didn't have access to all that(I did because I worked there). You could smell the stench coming from the others whenever you got into a car or in a different room with them.
People get used to the smell, but it would knock someome out who walks in for the first time.

I have 15 cats. Everybody has cat stories how kind of you to share yours about charming friends that you had. I bet they had similar kind things to say about you.

Who said anything about them being my friends? I lived there for convenience as it was right next to my high school. I worked at the mechanic/autobody shop after school and on weekends.Quote: EvenBobQuote: AxelWolfInhave no doubt there are good reasons. Ugh. I used to hear strange whimpering noises in the cupboard. Apparently a paw and a nose could open the spring-loaded hinges on the way in, but not the way out.

Not quite, my German Shepherd would never let the cats have the pizza.

Quote: EvenBobIt was extremely warm today and I found this on my deck. I'm getting a little tired of this and I'm not going to keep these kittens. I know who they belong to and I'm taking them back. People think they can just dump any kitten they want off here and I'll take it but 15 is enough right now. I'm getting too old for this. They are cute though, they can't be more than 6 weeks old.
That is horrible for someone to just leave them at your door. Will you have a conversation with the perpetrators or just leave them on their porch?

I have to hand them over in person I would never just leave them. But like I said it was 80° here today and nothing was going to happen to them the couple hours they were out there.

There is a tiger that lives on the LSU campus
The people that take care of that tiger on campus will not let the tiger be abused. The loud noise will totally stress out a tiger
