When I was a kid in the 1950s pictures like this were considered pornography and men kept them in the garage or in the basement, someplace where their wife would never go. When you're a kid in the 50s seeing something like this was extremely exciting just because you're not supposed to be seeing it. Finding your old man's secret stash in the garage and showing it to your friends in the neighborhood made you a hero for a while.

Mark Twain loved cats almost as much as I do. Like Ernest Hemingway he always kept cats wherever he lived. They sat on his desk while he wrote, they slept in his bed, they sat in his lap when he was outdoors. He loved having a cats around so much that when he visited Europe for extended periods he would rent cats to live with him. He discovered the same thing I did at an early age that when somebody doesn't like cats I don't like them either. I find them to be untrustworthy and not very good friends.

Walmart has food grade 5 gallon buckets on sale for $3.75 each so I bought a few and guess who likes them. You can't have too many buckets especially food grade buckets.

My sister has one chubby cat and one thin cat. Chubby one was eating fast and then pushing the other one out of the way to eat that food as well.
I don’t know if she implemented my suggestion, but I suggested she make a weighted down cardboard box, with an access hole only the skinny cat can get his head through and put his bowl back there.
She’s tried several other methods already.

Our cats free feed so there is always dry food in their dishes. In the evening they get to split a can of wet food.
